Monster Crown: Sin Eater is not on the same level as the classic Pokemon titles, yet that’s not what it tries to be. Where that series focuses on catching every species, Monster Crown employs complex breeding, a mature narrative, and impactful decisions, excelling at them all. Sadly, Monster Crown: Sin Eater struggles with the space between its milestones, leaving an enjoyable yet flawed addition to the monster-taming genre with a larger-than-life personality.- TheXboxHub

The gameplay itself is unique, the visuals are decent and the sound works well without being spectacular, and it’s just the accuracy in the latter levels that see annoyances come about, mostly when Selma just won’t do what you want her to do. If you’re after a nice little treat for a good price though, then it may well be worth you heading into Selma’s dreamworld. Just try to not scream too loudly.- TheXboxHub

We have a warmness of affection for Surface Rush, but nothing stronger than that. It proves that you can elevate the coin-pushing games of your youth to a full-blown video game, and it doesn’t skimp on the levels or game modes.- TheXboxHub

All in all, weird control system and all, ‘Nam 1975 is a game that deserves attention. It has a real “one more go” appeal, and for £6.39 it is hard not to recommend it. It won’t be for everyone, but it’s a worthy challenge, and I think it’s stood the test of time pretty well.- TheXboxHub

Death Road is most effective as a sprint rather than a marathon. It’s clearly not meant as an immersive, hours-on-end experience and playing as such will only burn you out as the same scenarios crop up time and time again. But as a pastiche to the arcade greats, booted up for bitesize sessions, it’s incredibly enjoyable.- TheXboxHub

Milli & Greg is a precision platformer with a large amount of style, a bargain price and way too many levels. In many ways, it’s like Greg the cat himself: this is flabby and lacks any new tricks, but it’s also cute as a button and has some claws in terms of difficulty. Stroke if you dare.- TheXboxHub

Despite being short, linear and fairly simple, Frightence does a good job of throwing you into the centre of a horror experience.- TheXboxHub

Golem Lights can’t maintain the momentum of its opening moments, and the puzzles end up becoming rote, but we have to give credit where it’s due. Golem Lights burns bright with potential, but isn’t quite there yet.- TheXboxHub

There’s much to love about Thunder Ray. With multiple difficulties and many different foes to learn attack patterns for, you’ll find Thunder Ray lasting as long as you want it to.- TheXboxHub

I like the story and the overall tone, while the combat is certainly engaging and solid. The whole control system and how it has been implemented doesn’t work as well for me, with a lack of fluidity and ease of use at times. But overall there is a very good game on offer here, and with it priced up at just about the right level, for fans of this genre it’s probably a must buy.- TheXboxHub

It plays well, looks all cute and cuddly, teaches kids about money and it’s free to download. And all this is helped by Island Saver providing a nice and relaxing place to spend some time. Sometimes that is all we need in life. No matter what our age.- TheXboxHub

Overall, and the world and story that the developers have shown with The Invisible Hours is a strong one that is superbly acted throughout. The actual concept of the gameplay is an original one that is worth taking in because it is an experience rather than a game.- TheXboxHub

Thanks to a finely-tuned combat system, Anomaly Agent is a solid beat ’em up throwback that’s, in many ways, better than the retro titles that inspire it.- TheXboxHub

The first half of The Plane Effect is of seriously high quality, so much so that you’d be looking at a 5/5 rating. But as progression is made and the latter half begins to unfold, problems arise; whether that be bugs that stop the game, or the frustration of the platforming or underwater sections.- TheXboxHub

The Smile Alchemist is a hard game to rate. It is slow, but charming, dull, but interesting; it kind of defies description. As a change from the plethora of retro-styled JRPGs that KEMCO release, it is a success, but on the flip-side, it is a hard one to recommend; it does get pretty samey.- TheXboxHub

The Mortuary Assistant is far removed from the usual horror fare - and that should be applauded. The sim elements mixed with horror scares and a great story help, but you may find the controls and menus annoying- TheXboxHub

As it stands, as with all of these collections, the results are hit and miss. If you’re curious about the whole single-button endeavour, then it’s worth picking up and giving a go. But if you’re interested in consistent value and quality, then One Button Games 5-in-1 vol. 6 struggles more than it should.- TheXboxHub

After a brilliantly exciting and nostalgic start, MythForce can never quite live up to that opening. However, it's a good fun roguelike experience that works well in short bursts, even better when playing through with a bunch of mates.- TheXboxHub

Let’s Sing 2021 on the Xbox One and Series X|S is a cover version of last year’s release, and it hits slightly higher notes. In all other respects it’s the same song, so it’s appeal to you will largely be down to the track listing. As with other years, the production is strong and slick, and with eight players and smartphones all welcomed, it’s one of the most inclusive music games out there.- TheXboxHub

Castle on the Coast is about the messiest, most uneven little 3D platformer that you could hope to encounter. But it is also generous, with plenty of collectibles and game genres packed into its five or six hours. When you factor in a charitable donation to Valley Children’s Hospital in California, the balance is in its favour.- TheXboxHub

Cat’s Request should be one for all the point-and-click adventure nuts out there. It has a very traditional feel to its gameplay, complemented by the extra character of Root, but its story and setting make it very unique.- TheXboxHub

You should have a good deal of fun with Glitch Hero. It isn’t perfect by any means, but the puzzles marry up well with the rest of the gameplay and so the end result is enjoyable. If you have a child you need to entertain, this may well be a good fit, but older gamers should be aware that it may come across as a bit basic.- TheXboxHub

Catan - Console Edition: The Helpers ends up being a safe but welcome first expansion to the base board game. It’s a touch on the expensive side, and it would benefit from usability improvements to turn-length and Quick Games, but Catan fans (Cafans?) will find they get a lot of enjoyment from trading for this one.- TheXboxHub
