    It’s a shame that the video game version of Pandemic is disappointing, because the board game itself is a lot of fun. There are tonnes of games that force players to compete against one another, but few require so much teamwork. Heavily focused on strategy, Pandemic encourages players to plan, discuss, maybe argue a little bit, but ultimately combine brain power to solve a big problem.

    Game nights are a remarkably popular way to engage with friends, which has led to the resurgence of tabletop board and card games of late. Pandemic has had quite a following, and this digital version does have its plus points – easier logistics, lower cost – and it will be familiar to those who already play the board game. For those who haven’t played before, the lack of a meaningful tutorial will be an obstacle to getting into it. However, its inclusion in Xbox Game Pass will greatly lower the risk of trying out the game. Now if you’ll excuse me, I don’t feel so good… hope it’s nothing serious.

There aren't too many PvE board games out there, and Pandemic takes Co-Op all the way with nearly addictive game play. Pandemic puts you in the role of a scientist, trying to save humanity from extinction as four diseases spread over the Globe. Play Local Co-Op with up to 4 friends, as you chose one of 7 roles, to cure the diseases and save mankind. Each role has it's own unique way of bending the rules to help you win, and you win by eradicating the diseases from the planet. The game play is identical to the table top edition, as your players are represented as pawns on the board, and the diseases are wooden cubes. The hard copy of the game can cost a bit, including add-ons, and this brings it all with a lower price tag. To win remove all the cubes, but there are many ways to lose. Every scenario is winable, and most of the time you can see where you and your team went wrong. The visuals are great, and you feel like your playing the table top as you draw cards, shift and add or remove cubes. The games only real weakness is the lack of Online multiplayer. Call your friends over for game night, and save the human race from extinction again and again!… Expand

I genuinely enjoy a lot of boardgames and being able to play one single player would be fun. However I also absolutely "hate" games that cannot be bothered teaching a new player how to play. I am sure the game is fun if you have already played the real boardgame and know how to play but without any decent tutorial this game must be avoided at all costs.… Expand

    Cette espèce de… de « truc » est l’adaptation en jeu… vidéo d’une espèce de jeu de plateau à la mords-moi-le-noeud… sans aucun effortCette espèce de… de « truc » est l’adaptation en jeu… vidéo d’une espèce de jeu de plateau à la mords-moi-le-noeud… sans aucun effort d’adaptation ! on a donc une espèce de merde à l’écran, une sorte de carte mondiale avec des icônes et des tas de couleurs criardes et une interface dénuée de toute ergonomie : tout a été fait à l’arrache par un ou des gorets de base et vendu ou plutôt proposé à la vente sur PC et consoles…

    A dire la vérité, on nous le donnerait ce « truc » qu’on en voudrait pas et même si on me payait (très cher) j’y toucherais même pas avec un bâton, car ce sous-produit est contaminé à la fois par le je-m’en-foutisme, l’incompétence irrécupérable et la connerie très concentrée… sans oublier l’opportunisme bassement mercantile bien entendu.

    Bref, on a donc une daube injouable mal présentée, mal faite et bâclée de A à Z : toutes les caractéristiques d’un étron indépendant en somme sauf que c’est tiré d’un jeu de plateau à la con, boulotté par des cons atteints d’une connerie incurable qui se propage à très grande vitesse : ah les putains de cons !    … Expand
