Unfortunately the patrolling threats and chase sequences are an unwelcome distraction, meaning you’re unable to fully appreciate the clever solutions and lore tidbits.

    How much you enjoy Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery depends on how much you like hidden object games so it’s difficult to be objective in this regard. The developers promote the game as being cosy and relaxing and it certainly will be for many. However, we often felt a little bored and occasionally frustrated.

There’s a very good concept here, with genuinely rewarding gameplay in regards to the successful appraising of all sorts of items. It matters little though when the functionality is compromised and your progress is regularly hindered.

No speedometer, hardly any engine noises and no real opponents may put traditional petrolheads off. But for those looking for a chillout, zen-like racing game, look no further than Phantom Spark.

    For the new ideas, I’ve been left slightly disappointed with Ancient Phantasma. The control system is a throwback to the bad old days, and the sheer amount of random encounters fast starts to grate. Other than these complaints, it is very much business as usual, but sadly even the new features won’t be enough to keep you playing long term.

    Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero gets the balance just right in terms of difficulty, something that previous games struggled with. It also brings the melee attacks back, but it would have been nice to have had a choice when playing solo.

    Better late than never, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1’s arrival on Xbox is well overdue. But it is also most welcome. The first game lays some great foundations for subsequent chapters and we can hope that they don’t take as long to arrive on Xbox.

    There is no denying that Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is what would be considered a cosy game. Its cutesy graphics and relaxing gameplay are definitely there, but the social aspect and even the customisation of the cooking is lacking. Everything is just a bit too passive really.

Complete with a beautiful location inspired by Caledonian culture, there should be no reason to not follow Tchia’s journey.

    While Lesson Learned: Cult of the Elizabeth might look like an intriguing tower defense, a taste of the gameplay is enough to cast doubt on advancing to the full game. There’s no harm in giving this freebie a go, but in the hour it’ll take to finish, you’ll probably have had enough.

    A delightful game that will keep you busy for no more than an evening, Hidden Cats In Rome will sink its claws into you from the get-go, whacking you silly with some seriously addictive hidden object hunting. With the addition of a new-to-the-franchise game mode, this is probably the best in the series so far.

    Aimlabs is a very difficult game to score, mainly because it’s not really a ‘game’ and nothing else like it exists on the Xbox. If you want to get better at shooting, the exercises will help, as will the ping of achievements, something that Aimlabs is quite generous with. But this is far from something that you will fire up just for the heck of it.

    Dungeons of Hinterberg is proof that a mash-ups of genres can work. The concept and setup are brilliantly creative, whilst highlights sit in respect of the sim side of the game and trying to build up relationships around the town. It looks beautiful too.

    With achievements and Gamerscore flowing, if you’re looking to spend some time fitting your feline friends into a grid, over and over again, then Fit My Cat does the business. It’s probably a game that you’ll forget as soon as the last achievement pops, but it can more than tide you over for a couple of hours.

    Should you be a fan of the base game of A Little to the Left, then it feels like an obvious choice to get involved in Seeing Stars. There are some good ideas included in here, with multiple solutions available for nearly all new levels. Whether you have the inclination to work through all those different completions though may be nothing short of an extremely personal decision.

    You should enjoy BLEACH: Brave Souls, but much of that will be down to the story and being keen to see where it goes next. You see, the rest of the time, the game feels a bit scrappy, a bit of a rushed conversion. There is fun here, but BLEACH: Brave Souls is far from the most polished game you’ll ever play.

    Goat Simulator 3 - Multiverse of Nonsense isn’t massively long, and while it will take a decent amount of time to get all the new cosmetic items that are available, I do have concerns about the overall longevity. Aside from that though, you shouldn’t turn down the opportunity to embark on more nonsense with Goat Simulator 3.
