    It all
Max, the hyperkinetic rabbity-thing with a lust for violence and a sawtooth grin, has always been the more unhinged member of the Freelance Police - a loveable lunatic with a knack for spreading chaos wherever he goes. But recently his abilities have taken a supernatural turn.

It all started when he stumbled upon a mysterious toy that allows him to glimpse the future. Now Sam & Max have aroused the attention of a host of villains from across the galaxy who are hellbent on acquiring the magical Toys of Power to achieve their own ends.

As those who seek the Devil's Toybox close in and Max's psychic abilities grow beyond his control, the Freelance Police will come up against their most frightening adversary yet: the power of Max's mind.

While I’m sad that this will be the last we see of Sam & Max, The Devil’s Playhouse does an amazing job of wrapping up the story of my favorite duo. The remaster has been done with care and looks terrific. It’s important that if you want to jump into the playhouse, you need to play the other two games first to understand some of the topics being discussed. You won’t be disappointed. Saddle up little buddy and get ready to ride with the Freelance Police for one last time.

Now that Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse caps off the trilogy remakes, I’m hoping for renewed interest in the series, as there’s nothing quite like its humor, even still. It’s bittersweet to see a game you enjoyed (again) come to its conclusion, though I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia trip with one of my favorite duos.

Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse is a madcap mystery brimming with creativity, showing there is life in the old dog (and rabbit) yet.

Telltale has really naild the writing here, and they've also played around with the gameplay, which is more varied and variable than in the past. The old flaws are still there, unfortunately, but if you can get past them, you get a really stylish, witty and entertaining adventure game that will easily take you 15 hours to play.

There are plenty of examples of how to do a remaster right, and this is one of them. In Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse Remastered, Skunkape's love for the franchise is evident . If you haven't played the previous installments, you might be wondering if you can take on this adventure without any problems understanding the story, and the answer is yes, although there are many details that are covered or seen to have happened in previous installments. In any case, if you like point-and-click adventures, the Sam & Max saga has a lot to offer, so I recommend that you play each of the installments, including the one from 1993.
