Aug 1, 2024SteamWorld Heist 2 is a must-play for fans of tactical strategy games. Its engaging combat, diverse missions, and charming presentation make it a standout title on the Xbox (where I played it) but will be great on any platform. Whether you’re a veteran of the series or a newcomer, you’re in for a treat with this gem of a game.

Aug 2, 2024A game that offers us a lot of fun and challenge, as well as a great number of hours to travel and explore this vast world, full of pirates who turn out not to be the bad guys in the story and who only want everything to go back to normal. An experience that you should not miss.

Aug 6, 2024What can I say? SteamWorld games don’t miss (with me at least) and SteamWorld Heist II is no exception. This is a special treat for the Xbox ecosystem, as this is our first foray into SteamWorld’s take on the tactical strategy genre. Thunderful have made another game to show and help gamers how to branch out into other types of genres that they may normally not play. If you like this universe but do not typically like this type of game (or don’t know if you do), I would still implore you to give it a chance.

Aug 19, 2024SteamWorld Heist II comes together to bring a lot of fun. You’ll enjoy getting to know all the characters and locations that have been added into the game, whilst the actual combat is tough, but well balanced.

Aug 1, 2024At its base level, SteamWorld Heist II is a supremely polished title. However, while the game's narrative hums along like a well-oiled machine in the first half, screws begin to come loose as the narrative expands exponentially in front of the player. While the core of the title is a shoo-in recommendation for any fan of the genre, the collapsing narrative structure in its second half is a genuine shame.

Aug 30, 2024Despite the title's relentless pursuit of time-consuming journeys and somewhat repetitive missions, SteamWorld Heist II's combat and approach to adventure are intelligent and well thought-out. Those who like tactical games should give it a try, if only for its originality. Provided you are patient during the enemies' rounds!
