As an interactive video game it’s pathetic. Barely any gameplay, static visuals, and annoying voiceovers mean it gets old very quickly. However as an interactive novel it’s second to none. It’s grotesque, beautifully engrossing and certainly a great horror flick.

Whilst there's lots here to keep fans of management and colony building games entertained, there's still a lot that needs to be worked on. The use of 'specialists' who explore the world map, feel like they need an overhaul so that this part of the game is more engaging, and the point of having them feels more important to the overall wellbeing of your colony.The fact it's in early management still is good, as hopefully these issues will be addressed, and the actual colony building side of the game provides a lot of fun. CounterSpy has a lot going for it, its unique take on the Cold War is one we very much enjoyed and the cel-shaded art style definitely caught our attention and demanded we admire it. However, a few too many annoyances got in our way of truly enjoying the game, such as the occasional awkward placement of an enemy and the unfair situations you can find yourself in when you are overwhelmed with guards.

World War Z has no challenge, or tensions, or conflict; and a game with a horror setting but nothing horrifying is just horrifyingly boring. It’s fine on a technical basis, though.

Dungeonland is ultimately pointless when it comes down to it. Yet it is the good kind of pointless, the kind that still produces entertainment with friends and fills a void. Dungeonland knows it does not amount to much, in fact it revels in it, wilfully mocking itself throughout.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Video Game is an enjoyable representation of Supercross, but doesn't quite reach the levels previously expected.

Razed might frustrate, annoy and even make you rage, but it's addictive gameplay, excellent soundtrack and your desire to master the leaderboards will pull you right back in.

Hard Reset was a great game when it was first released in 2011. The Redux edition has a graphics overhaul and a story pacing rebalance it still retains the gameplay of the original. While that was great five years ago when old-school shooters were in decline, Hard Reset now feels somewhat dated.

Blair Witch captivated me in a way that no other horror game has ever done before. A brilliant story that is complimented by even better gameplay allows for an enjoyable, yet terrifying experience. It has a few issues in terms of gameplay but iron those out and it's near perfect.

The sad truth is that while the trilogy is more than playable on the Vita this collection is not the definitive version, and if you have the choice and the inclination you would be far better off playing these on the PS3.

Train Simulator 2014 is the best at what it does, and those familiar with the series will find enough here to go back for more. Newcomers, though, will find the price of admission unusually high both in the sheer volume of expensive DLC that the game will try to sell to you at every possible moment, and the investment of time the user needs before they can really begin to appreciate what this software has to offer.

The Shivah turns out to be an extremely short game, completable in between one or two hours, and this includes the time taken to see all three possible endings.

To sum up, Football Manager Classic 2014 is a bit like a European aggregate victory, but not on away goals – it’s nice enough in of itself, but let’s look forward to the next round.

A strong story coupled with well-written characters is brought down by cringeworthy romancing. Angels With Scaly Wings is a rather enjoyable yarn irrespective of your ability to woo dragons.

The developers of Impact Winter have created a solid survival game with a unique art style that will appeal to a certain type of player. But whether you enjoy it will really depend on how much you enjoy the micromanagement of the games’ systems and can forgive its limited narrative and repetitive resource grind. For my money – there is better out there.

Overall if you fancy an easy to play, very basic RPG then this could be the game for you. Unfortunately, there are a lot better, more memorable RPG’s on the system and it's hard for me to recommend this over those titles.

A cheery and extensive world-building game that has unfortunately been swamped by busy work and glitches.

A stylish, bleak puzzler which overcomes many of its flaws through tightly polished delivery.

Its poor visuals and dreadful animations along with its expensive price tag means Black Rock Shooter: The Game is a title not worth your time and effort.

The Sinking City is an intriguing game that is sadly let down by its many glitches and lifeless combat.

Archangel takes several innovative steps towards making the dungeon-crawler viable for phones and tablets, including cloud saving for play on multiple devices, but ultimately it’s just a pale, pale shadow of what the likes of Diablo 3, Torchlight 2 and even the free-to-play Path Of Exile are capable of doing on the PC.

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars will not threaten any of the giants of the turn-based strategy games but for console players, it offers an accessible alternative with a fun dark fantasy twist.

Marlow Briggs isn’t perfect but for all its faults it is important to always keep things in perspective.

There’s real potential here, nearly enough for it to be worthwhile for fans outside the genre to check it out. But nearly enough isn’t quite enough, and too many instances of archaic dungeon design combined with the poor story and insta-death combat situations means that it’ll stay far away from the mainstream.

It's far greater than the sum of its parts and should please all fans of JRPGs.

Conceptually it should be applauded for, on paper at least, offering something that little bit different. In delivery it’s far too often flat with a side of boredom and backfire.

While some glaring struggles were noted throughout my time with Super Meat Boy Forever, it is also worth noting that I dealt with them and stuck with it as the heart of the game is incredible.

Bookbound Brigade feels less like a literary Avengers and more like a literary Suicide Squad. It simply has not done enough to justify itself. Strictly for diehard Metroidvania fans.
