2Dark’s call back to old 90s horror games is nostalgic, though it comes with all the issues of the games from that era. There are certain expectations from modern games for mechanics and controls to feel intuitive and goals to be well communicated. The interface quickly becomes unmanageable as the inventory balloons and invades the main game space. Having full access to your inventory and combining weapons on the go sounds like a clever concept. That is until you’re in the throes of gameplay and the thing you need is indistinguishable from the junk you have collected. The overall game experience suffers due to this, but if you’re fond of 90s horror games like Alone in the Dark and the original Resident Evil, then you’re likely in for a treat with 2Dark.- The Digital Fix

It’s a big, brash and colourful rendition of what makes the genre wonderful, with a sprinkling of innovation and a chunk of failure mixed up into a forgettable story, with some fun but ultimately limited gameplay.- The Digital Fix

With no challenge beyond wrestling with the horrible controls, Unbox is a failed appeal to nostalgia that captures none of the warmth or playability of the games it admires.- The Digital Fix

Favouring narrative and visuals, Degrees of Separation is a game that you'll either love or hate - with a decent range of puzzles and an almost frustratingly broad set of environments to be explored.- The Digital Fix

Encodya is a disappointing attempt at reviving the point-and-click genre. It has none of the charm or challenge of the greats of the past and offers nothing new.- The Digital Fix

In many ways Monster Monpiece is a game that shouldn’t have even been made, let alone ported over here. Everything from the most ridiculous fan service ever through to the repeating in-battle chibi characters screams niche, and it’s not a good niche either.- The Digital Fix

Gravel is entertains for the most part but outside the career mode the game lacks longevity. Coupled with some odd omissions such as leaderboards it's a competent racer and not much else.- The Digital Fix

This is a fun little game for fans of horror, puzzle, or visual novels. It takes the best parts of these genres and makes them into a smooth experience, filled with creepy music, lovely pixel art, and engaging puzzles.- The Digital Fix

This landed on us as a little bit of a curiosity but it has genuinely surprised us with the quality of the content on show, and once again we must reiterate that this is the work of just two people. If you like your games challenging but fair then you could do worse than to check this.- The Digital Fix

Beautiful in its simplicity, The Almost Gone is definitely a game that won’t appeal to everyone, but for this reviewer, it was a worthwhile experience. Some frustratingly obtuse puzzle solutions aside, the 3D point and click gaming is well-designed, and the minimalist art style fits perfectly. It also packs an emotional punch for anyone familiar with the tragic issues portrayed, which it deals with sensitively and powerfully.- The Digital Fix

While the underlying game is still fantastic, the Switch port of Cities: Skylines is plagued with poor performance and finicky controls. If this is the only version available to you then it may well be worth a look, otherwise you'd be better off elsewhere.- The Digital Fix

Worms is unashamedly old school, from its steep learning curve and high skill requirements right through to the lack of handholding and gruelling punishment of any mistake.- The Digital Fix

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is sadly a bit of a let down. Gorgeous to look at, fiddly to control and a tad dull to experience, this is yet another AC iteration that falls flat. A bold idea, poorly executed.- The Digital Fix

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game is an enjoyable action-adventure romp, but ultimately it never quite reaches the standards set by some of the previous LEGO titles. The framerate issues are a constant nuisance, and other technical issues such as crashes and excessive loading screens make the game feel unfinished, as if rushed to launch alongside the film. Thankfully, fans of the LEGO Ninjago Movie will definitely enjoy playing through the story as their favourite ninjas, while LEGO enthusiasts will find enjoyment in the variety and depth of collectables on offer.- The Digital Fix

I cannot in good faith recommend people pay for Marvel’s Avengers. At it’s absolute best, the game is fine. More often that not, it does not reach those modest heights. The live-service approach to a franchise that does not suit it has rendered so much of it bland and lazy when that’s the last thing a game of this nature should be. This may be a game that we come back to in the future and find a completely reworked, satisfying experience that doesn’t put all its effort into blocking the player from enjoying themselves but not right now. At launch, Marvel’s Avengers is an imperfect and frustrating mess.- The Digital Fix

Sky Force Anniversary is an intense and well-designed shmup that’s a fitting addition to the Nintendo Switch. It’s great for long sessions as their are numerous medals and collectibles to grab in docked mode as well as short commute sessions in handheld mode. A few more story elements would have been ideal but the game’s addicting gameplay and upgrade system are enough to keep the player hooked. If it’s a high adrenaline bullet hell experience you’re looking to add to your Nintendo Switch collection, look no further than Sky Force Anniversary.- The Digital Fix

Good Goliath is short and fun but maybe a bit of a one trick pony. I did enjoy the combo system and the slight puzzle style to the oncoming enemy waves. Its graphics, environments and immersion are all top notch and as long as you do not mind just throwing stuff for a few hours and a few small issues, do not hesitate to give it a try, I enjoyed my short time with it.- The Digital Fix

While the gameplay is fun the whole experience is overly repetitive. Add in a confusing setting and a complete tonal shift from the anime and you get a game that does not live up to expectations.- The Digital Fix

I feel that the single player is a bit sparse and even though I could not test it, I think the multiplayer will be a hoot and where this game really shines. The social interaction between players and friends will be fun while playing matches, it's a shame the single player does not have the same impact but I do think this game was designed to be played between friends. It's a beautiful game and the VR side of things works well. It's a solid VR outing that's unlike anything other on the market at the moment.- The Digital Fix

Genesis Alpha One's genre mixing works very well indeed, though it isn't without rough edges here and there. It's unusual combination of first person shooter and roguelike/management game mechanics create a unique challenge set in an inhospitable, brutal sci-fi universe.- The Digital Fix

There are glimpses of wonder but this is the top layer of gold only. The bulk of the game is a frustrating, irritating, random mess. In itself this is frustrating, as what could have been great struggles to be merely average.- The Digital Fix
