While it misses some of the best features from its predecessors, Just Cause 4 is a captivatingly fun experience, with enough new mechanics to be a staple for action fans.- The Digital Fix

Whilst this episodic story as a whole has seen a midway slump, it’s exciting to see the change in the game surrounding it as we move to the next generation and beyond.- The Digital Fix

Fun, nostalgic and easy to pick up, but its lack of variety make it feel rushed and unfinished. This game has the potential to be the Power Rangers, but for now, it has ended up being Bulk and Skull.- The Digital Fix

While it may have small performance issues and a stripped back graphical style some people may not enjoy, I adored Cloudpunk. I simply could not stop playing it, I was heavily immersed in Rania's story and was taken back by how invested I got in this dank, dark world. I am even thinking about playing it no and hopping back in to mop up the remaining trophies. Right that's it, I'm off to Nivalis.- The Digital Fix

Lego Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey doesn’t add a new dimension onto the how Lego games work and doesn’t immediately stand out amongst the heavy hitters such as Lego Batman or Lego Star Wars, but that doesn’t make it any less of an enjoyable platformer.- The Digital Fix

Ultimately though, Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters remains something of a niche oddity, a nicely presented and slick release which doesn't really offer strategy fans and visual novel enthusiasts anything of substance - much like the spirits you’re sent to exorcise, it seems mostly confused and doesn’t really do enough to justify its existence in this world.- The Digital Fix

While the game is a lot of fun, it is hard to shake the feeling that if it was a full MMO it would be better. The Co Op mode goes someway to fix this and thankfully there is plenty of content to keep fans of the genre and of the series occupied. Definitely worth playing if you want an anime inspired world to run around in for a long time.- The Digital Fix

Killer is Dead isn’t a game for everyone, much like any other Suda51 or Grasshopper title. The visual style, surreal story and odd sense of humour that runs through the entirety of the game make it more than worth playing through for fans of the Japanese developer, although those who have been left unimpressed with his previous output probably aren’t going to find this to their liking.- The Digital Fix

For all its flaws, Farming Simulator 2015 is the latest, best entry in an exceedingly niche genre, a reasonable improvement on the last entry, and perhaps a change of scenery if you’re sick of the sight of alien spaceships and chest-high walls.- The Digital Fix

Unpolished to the point of seeming unfinished in places, The Golf Club isn’t a rival to the EA Sports Tiger Woods franchise but is more of a throwback to the hardcore, simulation days of Links.- The Digital Fix

Little Town Hero is a refreshing take on the turn-based RPG genre, with gorgeous visuals, a perfect soundtrack, and endearing characters. If the tedium of combat was tuned a bit, this would be a 10 out of 10 hands down.- The Digital Fix

It’s certainly not a joke game, and the writing quality does elevate it for those who have an appreciation of the material that is being targeted, but the whole combat mechanic becomes so tiresome so quickly that you can’t help but wish the game could have been shorter, the story more focused, instead of the more positive elements of the game losing some of their sheen from hiding behind the rest of it.- The Digital Fix

While not a bad game by any means, Damsel seems to lack polish and direction. With a mediocre story and overly cluttered environments, it struggles to find its footing as either a story-rich game or speedrunning twitch fest. If one direction was chosen, the potential seen here could certainly be reached.- The Digital Fix

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a beautiful, ambitious game of evolution. Unfortunately, the sheer initial difficulty, repetitiveness, and discouragement associated with some of the mechanics and replayability will likely limit this title to only those most dedicated to seeing the game through to the end. For a lack of better words, it feels as if this game needs to go through a bit of evolution itself in order to smooth the roughness and make players want to journey through this odyssey.- The Digital Fix

Someone far more astute than I pointed out that the game feels like a Facebook game and it was at that moment that everything that is wrong with SimCity clicked into place. The always online requirement, the pleasantness, the restrictions, the simplicity, the overwhelming emphasis on community over the individual. SimCity is a game that seems ripe for the casual social networking infrastructure, but has instead found itself unfortunately released onto the mainstream market.- The Digital Fix

It is certainly not a complete success however. Even on the easier difficulty setting players will still be sitting through repeated animations, and the loss of huge swathes of time after each failure can drive one mad. Meanwhile the reliance on chance, while admittedly in fitting with the reality of such situations, feels cumbersome and can really ramp up frustration. In the end it all depends on how much suffering you are willing to devote to a game.- The Digital Fix

It’s great fun and easy to play, but hard to master. It is delightful on your own playing against the world’s high scores and those of your friends, but also wholesomely entertaining as a party game given each go takes seconds or minutes and you can try again very quickly. There is no right or wrong way to play and many sets of tactics which can be employed to garner great results. You might blast through the levels, or collect all the trophies, or spend ages just chasing the top of that leaderboard. You can play it in multiple ways, trying to achieve varied goals. I wholeheartedly suggest you take the highway to the Danger Zone. There, I said it.- The Digital Fix

Snooker 19 is a great snooker simulation that runs very well. It gets slightly let down by repetitive commentary and be prepared to be bombarded if you do not have a Nintendo Online subscription. Apart from that its a lot of fun and every snooker fan should give it a go.- The Digital Fix

Sniper Elite III continues to evolve the series and it’s evident that Rebellion have attempted to open up the franchise, offering more freedom. Unfortunately this comes at the cost of a pure sniping experience – something most will be looking for, given the title.- The Digital Fix

While I enjoyed the very short-lived remake of Panzer Dragoon, I had hoped that I would be given a few new bells and whistles to savor. However, what we have is the same classic game with improved graphics and controls. This will please purists massively but for me, the game is a bit too basic and short by today's standards. It is still fun though, and sometimes that is what matters most.- The Digital Fix

Vertical Drop Heroes is a remake of a browser-based game from the turn of the decade. It does procedural and roguelike in a quick and fun way but ultimately is only for fans of this genre. What it does it does well, but that is limited.- The Digital Fix

The Suicide of the Rachel Foster is a masterpiece in atmospheric storytelling. The slow-paced unveiling of the truth is crafted meticulously, and whilst the ultimate ending is a little disappointing, that doesn’t make the journey any less thrilling. The game knows exactly how to manipulate emotions and does so throughout. Equal parts intriguing, frightening, disturbing, and thrilling, The Suicide of Rachel Foster sets a new high-bar for the already strong first person exploration genre.- The Digital Fix
