    There aren’t a ton of other reasons to endorse Encleverment Experiment. The graphics look like mid-’90s educational software, and while there is avatar support, your guy mostly just sits there. Encleverment Experiment is a brain teaser game of only average intelligence.

    If I was limited to one word that described Samurai Shodown V, it would have to be unique. From the character designs, to amazingly thematic music, and unique twist on combat, this is a 2D fighting series that may not have gotten the crappy Hollywood movie like some other games in this genre, but it deserved a look then and warrants one now.

A completely redesigned Vigilante 8 game with next-gen graphics and physics would be super awesome, if you ask me. But probably not appropriate for Xbox Live.     Prizefighter’s biggest mistake was trying to be a serious boxing sim. It’s not. It couldn’t be anything further from it unless its name was Facebreaker (zing!). Maybe if the game makers tried to make it a more splendiferous experience, then we’d think it lived up to Don King’s moniker. Instead, it’s a bad boxing game with some really nice extras added on.

    Though Xevious was a ground-breaking title when it was released 25 years ago, it’s a great example of how game designers of that era were trying out new things and new ways of challenging players. As such, spending a few Microsoft Points to pick up the XBLA version will give you a good look at what served as a revolutionary game in 1982—and to test your piloting mettle.

    One of my major gripes is when you, Sun Soo, die the game just freezes then reloads to the options screen. If you die in mid-fall the game will pause and start to reload with the main character in mid-fall, no cool death scene, nothing.

    Just completing a single string of pots (the cages the crabs crawl into on the ocean floor, trapping them) in Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm is a long and drawn out experience, with a difficult to master control scheme and layers of strategy and management to contend with. On top of that, it will literally make you seasick. In other words, a total PC game.

    If you or your kid just can't get enough of the Eds, then by all means add this one to your shopping cart. All others should tread with caution, as some technical issues and a basic lack of gameplay depth causes Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures to be a bit cumbersome and to wear out its welcome quickly.
