Fans of the cartoons will be happy to know that the game contains everything from the originals, including voices and bad jokes.
-
This title could have gotten my complete blessing with a few minor tweaks, with the most important being a co-op mode. Single player mode only notwithstanding, Mystery Mayhem is easily worth its weight in Scooby Snacks.
-
I had a lot of fun playing with my 3-year-old son, but became bored pretty quickly and he became frustrated every time he tried to go it alone.
-
It has the potential to be a really great game franchise for the developer, the building blocks have all been laid, but the gameplay and execution this time around, keep it from succeeding.
-
Nostalgic adults might be able to get some campy fun out of the cheesy plot elements and canned laugh track, though if they do, it's purely coincidental. Mystery Mayhem is aimed squarely at the kids.
-
The authenticity lends a certain charm to the title that almost makes you want to play it, but then you realize how unexciting the actual game is. Fetch quests have never been a successful way to captivate audiences, although some games can pull it off because of story or some redeeming gameplay elements.
-
But unless your mommy tucks you into your Scooby-Doo bed sheets at night, you probably wont be entirely satisfied.
