By deciding when to attack, when to resist invasion, or when to initiate policies, a lord can expand their power and influence. An easy-to-learn card collecting system lets players enact policies that will increase their empire’s strength, improve the abilities of their forces, and more. The cards that a player receives will depend on the attributes of the officers and their army. Players can also pledge their allegiance to a kingdom to become an officer. As an officer, players can suggest policies in the kingdom’s war council, complete missions for rewards, or even turn against their ruler should relations sour. Most eagerly awaited by fans is a game mode that allows players to create their own warrior. DYNASTY WARRIORS 6: Empires features an extensive character editing system with options to customize a warrior’s gender, build, skin tone, facial features, voice, clothing, weapon and more.     For fans of the Warriors series, DW6:E falls right in line with giving the hardcore followers of Omega Force exactly what they want. For general action/strategy fans, DW6:E marks a solid step forward in creating a more consumable form of the Warriors universe.

    DW6:E is a fun, and addictive game. Especially for fans of the series like me. There are only a couple mistakes in the game that i have seen. DW6:E is a fun, and addictive game. With the new strategies and features of the game like the new weapons, custom characters, ect.. its rating leads up to an 8.5 for me.… Expand

    Despite this game being similar to other games in the series, I really enjoyed it. I really don't have a problem with the graphics issues and I liked the models and edit outfits more than previous dynasty warrior games. I played the game exclusively co-op with my bro and we would plan out strategies together so that probably made it more enjoyable for me. I don't even think the combat system is stale either with all the extra abilities it made it more in depth than I've ever seen it. I gotten a lot of enjoyment from this game despite the mediocre reviews it has been getting. Its a hack and slash at heart but delivers well on the strategy elements as a good strategy can win you a battle that you would otherwise lose by far.… Expand

While the game is mostly solid, the ways it improves on DW5:Empires are offset by the ways it gets things wrong. For example, the upgrade system is unintuitive, the difficulty is much higher, the lack of combos is jarring (you can basically just hit X forever), and some elements that were polished in earlier games are now broken (like selecting from a list of 200 music tracks but without an audio preview). Still, the graphics, sound, customization, and presentation are overall more improved, and the game is worth checking out for fans of the series. If you dislike the Warriors games, it probably won't change your opinion.… Expand

I see critics who heavily penalize this game for repetitive gameplay, which is fair enough, but then I see the critics bashing this game for being too similar to past iterations--that is where I draw the line. Why? Well, I look up these same critics' reviews of Halo 3, Madden, and other mainstream franchises, and there are glowing reviews with no mention of being too similar to earlier games. I owned all 3 Halos at one point and each one is just a shinier version o the last...actually I believe that the gameplay regressed towards Halo 3 in favor of gilding. Don't get me started on Madden. I guess what I'm trying to say is that most critics, including myself, are hypocrites and one should not base their decision on an arbitrary number. Use critic reviews as a description of the game, not a judgment. Oh, and about DW6. I plays a lot like a combination of 5: Xtreme legends and Empires. It's fun and the English dubs are hilarious at times. Also, it gets FREE DLC, even on the XBL Marketplace, and it's budget priced at $40 ($35 or less used).… Expand

But other than that i am very much addicted to it.… Expand
