NieR Replicant ver. 122474487139... is a true masterpiece. Toylogic has managed to polish all the areas in which the original title failed, offering this time a practically rounded product, putting the cherry on top of a splendid story and a soundtrack that, for sure, we will listen to outside of the game.- SomosXbox

Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy gives us a great oportunity to enjoy the last three chronological entries of Phoenix Wright franchise the best way possible. The original titles were already prominent videogames, but recent graphical upgrades, quality of life improvements and a great deal of extras and achievements to unlock, we think the game deserves a great mark.- SomosXbox

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is the best Dragon Ball simulator ever. Spike Chunsoft's game presents an arcade gameplay much deeper than it seems, with a spectacular graphics and an almost infinite amount of content.- SomosXbox

The Chinese Room returns with its most ambitious game in nearly a decade: a terrifying, lovecraftian experience that shines at the tension moments and setting, but not always delivering in the narrative side.- SomosXbox

FIFA 18 does everything FIFA 17 did, but better. The Return of Alex Hunter is a much-improved version of last year mode and turns out to be a must play for everyone who owns this game. Visuals are stunning but gameplay is still the king on the best game of the most played sport of the world.- SomosXbox

Life is Strange 2 closes its plot with a remarkable last episode that along with the third is the best that this title offers. After a somewhat unsettling start and a disappointing fourth episode, Dontnod has closed the Diaz brothers' adventure with a very good ending.- SomosXbox

Artistically superb, beautifully designed and overall well adapted to controller pads, Crusader Kings III delivers the PC experience to consoles in a very unique way. These kind of games on PC are relatively common from time to time, but on consoles this exotic genre is like a gem you can enjoy one time every decade -or even more-. These kind of games are not for everyone. Despite its magnificent possibilities and eternal endgame, it's very complex to learn how to play from start and you will spend several hours reading and playing tutorials or getting unlimited hints in order to actually get some small improvements on your walkthrough. Surprisingly no option for keyboard and mouse, despite the fact that many games are already including this compatibility option without any issues.- SomosXbox

Sonic Mania is one of the best Sonic games ever made. The hedgehog is as fast as always and the level design is, in a few words, awesome. Classic taste for one of the best games of the year.- SomosXbox

Resident Evil Village is a game that takes a risk and a new evolution of the concept of the series that Capcom started out with Resident Evil VII. Despite its flaws, Village is a great Resident Evil experience that will scare you and make you experience typical Resident Evil moments.- SomosXbox

Long awaited masterpiece Chrono Cross is back, and the HD remaster done by Square-Enix fit perfectly as an ode to the series started in 1995 with Chrono Trigger. Now with the sequel-spin-off Radical Dreamers for the first time released across the world and finally translated, The Radical Dreamers Edition does and outstanding job reminding us how epic was Chrono Cross back in 1999 and how it's still up to date in 2022 in terms of quality and gameplay. One of the best JRPG ever made with new 3D models, 2D redrawn work on HD and power-up buttons. Probably the best HD remaster from Square-Enix made to date. Not a single technical issue despite controversy across social media, we played 50+ hours on four different Xbox consoles, and even PS4, just to find out Switch and Steam ports are the ones having real trouble on framerate and delay, not on Xbox nor PS4.- SomosXbox

Fantasian Neo Dimension is the Mistwalker's return to consoles with an enhanced version of a special work, meticulously crafted in its visuals. Don't expect the best story in Japanese role-playing games, but it is a very fun video game with a combat system that evolves as the adventure progresses. A must-play if you're a fan of Enix and Squaresoft video games from the late decade.- SomosXbox

Throughout this year we have seen so many racing games, but all of them try to be realistic driving games in circuits. Codemasters and DIRT 5 has taken advantage of this lack of arcade racing games to bring one of the most impressive velocity experiences of this year. The action becomes part of races in an extensive experience with so many race modes, circuits, vehicles and a complete tool for creating and personalizing as you want. Really, DIRT 5 seems to be a breath of fresh air to the racing games space this year.- SomosXbox

Starfield is one of the best games of the year (which is no small feat in this fantastic 2023) and one of the best games in Xbox history. Bethesda has created an era-defining game that will set an example for other studios to follow as they embark on their own journey into space.- SomosXbox

If you are drawn to the ocean and what it is (hidden?) beneath it, or to the most contemplative journeys, Abzû will grab you without escape during the two or three hours it takes to complete. Even it is not replayable, due to its magical beauty, you will take a second ride soon or later. It is a remarkable experience, even if it is only for the incredible good looks its journey offers. If you are seeking some action, do not plunge into these waters.- SomosXbox

WRC 9 is a logical evolution. It offers the same rally experience with the official license of WRC, giving a simulation experience, and it is not a game for novice racers. Improved physics, dynamic weather, and the career mode offers more to fans, but without important changes.- SomosXbox

Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 could be the most spectacular action game of this generation so far. A game that combines visceral and frenetic action with superb technical aspects. The setting suits it wonderfully, with well-dubbed dialogues and an exquisite soundtrack, which is expanded with multiplayer game modes to add endless hours of gameplay. Although we cannot deny that the campaign duration or the number of operations may seem poor.- SomosXbox

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a refreshing take on stealth, riddles and RPG elements. Amicia and Hugo's story is well written and, as characters, they show one of finest and strongest relationships in videogames. A Plague Tale: Innocence mixes perfectly fairy tales, death, Plague and 14th century hardness. Just enjoy one of the best AA games of the year.- SomosXbox

I feel that Grounded was able to take advantage of its long trial period to provide the content that was missing in its initial version. The changes in the quality of life, the fact that the swimming mechanics have been added, having a whole new biome with new enemies, improvements in construction, among other things, contributed to enrich the survival side of Grounded to make it one of the first options for fans of the genre. In addition, the narrative content of the game has enriched it in such a way that now you have an interesting story that you discover the more you explore and a real mission: to return to your natural state, escaping the limitations of measuring an inch. Visually the game stands out for its art, graphics and lighting. Sonically it doesn't disappoint either.- SomosXbox

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a fantastic job of remastering, which is closer to a remake than a remaster. The facelift and minor tweaks to the combat make it the best possible way to enjoy Zack's story. However, its limited design and some other elements make it not an outstanding game.- SomosXbox

Owlboy is one of those games that draw a smile on the face of the player. The art is great and soundtrack is beautiful (and remind us to another classic videogames like Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda). Mechanics are so simple, but it's funny. It's a little piece of art.- SomosXbox
