Those who remember NBA Jam will appreciate NBA Playgrounds 2 as the fun game that it is. It has new game modes that gives a better and more complete experience. With the same looting system to obtain all the roster of players that it gives, it’s a pleasure to expend hours of fun on this arcade basketball.

Electronic Arts has presented this year Madden NFL 24 with great additions at the level of physics with FieldSense and SAPIENS technology that makes the game and players feel more realistic than ever. But it is not the game expected by the community for its large number of failures in physics and performance. Besides, the Training Camp improvements become repetitive and most of them are not much fun. If you add that the Franchise and Superstars mode bring hardly any innovations, the game does not have the desired expectation.

Hood Outlaws & Legends is an extraction PvP similar to Hunt: Showdown in which the Sherwood Forest. You have at your disposal 4 eligible characters, each with their own abilities, 4 scenarios and a limited variety of cosmetics that you can earn. Although it has power, this game offers a much less solid experience than similar games, due to its shortcomings. Among those, the biggest complaint is the imbalance in matchmaking, among other problems with servers, and gameplay in general.

It’s curious to see how Romancing SaGa 2 feels so old but innovative at the same time. If we forgive certain clichés of the genre, it has some admirable mechanics. As a remaster it is very worthy.

Dontnod peaked with Life is Strange and has not managed to live up to the hurdle that they set themselves. Twin Mirror is a new failed attempt. Its story is uninteresting, its characters are forgettable, and it has serious pacing problems.

Sonic Forces is a short and easy videogame, which also has a rude and imprecise control. In my opinion, nowadays there are many better alternatives than Sonic Forces on the market but it is enjoyable for kids and for all sonic fans.

Toby: The Secret Mine is a challenging but beautiful game that borrows many things from games such as LIMBO or Badlands, but it achieves to craft its own style. We will die so many times until we realize the suitable path, but the result is worth it.

Despite its interesting idea, Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection feels short. Konami would have made a more interesting collection with more, more varied and better games. However, if you are fans of the genre or want to know more about it, it's a recommended purchase.

If you like arcade aerial combat games, maybe Red Wings: Aces of the Sky could interest you. It’s a simple game based in WWI-era aerial combats, and gives the opportunity to become the Red Baron. Easy to play with direct action and some quest to achieve, the intensity of the gameplay could reach the player. With several hours through the campaign and an unexpected coach multiplayer modes, the only limit is the sky.

Homestead Arcana is a game that, although it feels like it lacks work, it is clear that it knows how to bring new things to the genre, so it can be excellent for someone saturated with conventional farm games. For Serenity Forge, if they want to continue down this path, this title can be a very solid foundation for a promising future.

There´s nothing left about classic Ghost Recon here. Just mixed concepts inherited from The Division and Assassin's Creed that Jon Bernthal can't carry by himself. A place full of bugs and bad decisions that can at least be enjoyed in coop mode and multiplayer.

At the end of the day, when you have learned to cope with all the objections of the game, you are fascinated by the huge world of Elex, its contrasts and designs, but you realize that the problem goes beyond its aesthetics. It is all these mismatches and imbalances in combat and the general experience that end up leaving a bittersweet flavor in a game that has everything to offer a deep experience in the field of RPG.

Despite not giving us the ending we would have expected, Chekmate allows us to know every consequence of our action. Big Bad Wolf does an excellent job encouraging us to play the game again to change everyone's fate. The Council is the next step in the genre and a game that should definitely be played.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections arrived with the promise of being the definitive Naruto game. However, Cyberconnect2's work is not only too continuist, but also cuts inexplicable content that was present in previous installments of the series. It is true that its gameplay is still fun, and that in terms of content it is really impressive, but it does not mean that we expected much more from a game of this type.

Jump Force is a game with some good and bad aspects. On the one hand, it comes with a great cast of characters that bring together the best Shōnen Jump manga combined with a spectacular combat system that will delight fans. On the other, the story is unoriginal with too many loading screens and weak scenes. So, it will certainly not be the best fighting game of the year, but we can always have fun with the spectacular attacks and customization of our avatar to create the ultimate Jump Force hero and beat the Venom.

Need for Speed Payback is a good arcade game that moves the action and speed of Hollywood movies to the videogame, adding to challenge of urban bands and five clearly differentiated driving styles with totally customizable cars and a small open world. Enjoys very good ideas and gives us a well-rounded game, but it lacks a bit of genius to make it essential.

The remastered version of Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water offers improved visual effects, additional costumes and a new photo mode that is quite deep. The problem is that in everything else the game fails. Although its initial premise is very intriguing, the game fails to develop its plot at a good pace. There is too much repetition in many of its main mechanics. All in all, the fact that the franchise has returned to Xbox after fifteen years is a merit.

Crackdown 3 is a great sequel. Basically is the same as the original 2007 Crackdown, with more enemies, a bigger city and 4K resolution, but the core is still the same, with mechanics problems and a multiplayer which is only a means to justify the ''cloud computing power'' that we saw on the game reveal. Great if you have Game Pass.
