If you want something with the style and quality of the Commandos tactical series, you've just come across the perfect candidate. A dedicated team is just waiting for your instructions.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is truly a “streamlined, unnecessary genres dropping and infinitely expanding“ evolution of its predecessor. This beautiful work of harmoniously coexisting design and mechanics reminds me of an enormous roguelike jug filled to the brim with horrifyingly hardcore gameplay, many difficult choices, huge 50+ hours long campaign and a whole bunch of Lovecraftian horror! Oh and there are cute pets riding on your stagecoach too.

Sifu made me regequit a handful of times and yet it quickly became one of my favorites, especially thanks to its bald and punishing learning curve, that pushes you into mastering all sorts of moves and combos. French studio Sloclap delivers a typical revenge story, that is wrapped in a clever level design and excellent gameplay mechanics.

Thankfully, this collection still shines with addictive gameplay and a wealth of content that will keep you hooked for hours. Visual upgrades breathe new life into these classics for a modern audience. However, it’s not without flaws: Pro Skater 4 strays a bit from its original design, some odd choices affect the overall experience, and the heavily altered soundtrack is a noticeable letdown.

Marathon is an interesting project from Bungie that has some merit, but so far it doesn’t feel like it’s living up to its full potential. It’s held back by limited content, a cluttered layout, poor navigation, and repetitive gameplay. That said, the game has a solid foundation in its shooting mechanics, movement, and the need for tactical decision-making during extractions.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is an excellent game in the style of RimWorld, but with a better chosen graphic style. It's a fun survival fight with different objectives based on each scenario. Thanks to the individual settings, it is suitable for players of any maturity and skill level. It's just strange that the survivors don't need water.

Younger and older players who grew up on classic platform 2D games will find their way to an atypical game from a well-known universe. The game itself is excellently presented, the action side is definitely entertaining, the sound and music fit perfectly into the animated graphics in the atmospheric city, where you definitely have something to discover.

Despite its initial problems with the PC release, Sackboy: A Big Adventure delivers today a high-quality experience. And while its current price is a bit overkill, it doesn't take away from its great foundation.

The Outer Worlds 2 builds on Obsidian's strengths: an authentic, smaller-scale RPG full of possibilities, with satire and moral decisions. Rather than competing with open-world giants in terms of scope, it emphasizes its system, humor, and detail. If you enjoyed the first game or New Vegas, you will get exactly what you would expect from Obsidian here, only in a slightly bigger and prettier package, with a little more depth. It's Obsidian's most extensive RPG in this style yet.

F1 25 represents a nice evolutionary step forward in the series, it's not a leap, but a step in the right direction - it expands the modes to include links to the upcoming film, adapts My Team to a management form, and most importantly improves the driving physics.

Desktop Dungeons: Rewind owes its success to its fast-paced, brief yet incredibly entertaining gameplay. The game may be small in size, but its depth and excitement are beyond measure. It's a gaming experience that you never knew you needed.

The World Before is about peaceful and slow self-search, revealing life stories and fighting adversity. The great atmosphere of the first two parts was managed by the developers to replay brilliantly.

A catchy extraction shooter from a post-apocalyptic environment successfully deceives with its appearance. Behind the cute pixel art is a decent game challenge and a ruthless world.

Company of Heroes 3 can confidently stand alongside its predecessors in the series. It's a fun real-time strategy game, although not as revolutionary or distinctive as its older siblings. The gameplay is almost the same as it was in the previous games.

Like a Dragon: Ishin fulfills the promise: better later than never. It would be pity to miss such different part of series drawing lot of freshness from 19th century and different drama. The familiar faces and combat system is put into the new perspective in attractive environment.

In the end, Stellar Blade is clearly a unique title that managed to sneak onto the scene, take the best of modern video games and glue it all together into one consistently breathtaking experience.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is, at its core, a short game, but an excellent one. But it's not for everyone. It's a bloody and often disgusting experience based on strong emotions and immersion in a character that just won't let you go. It's more of an artistic experience than a traditional game.

Swich gets another fine exclusive game interconnected with other games. This one represents Fire Emblem in each part of the core mechanism including social interactions, support points and even strong plot told in several storylines. And putting dozens of characters to Musou-style battles is more encouraging than ever.

MLB The Show 22 is another great offering in the series, but you can also feel stagnation in some areas of the game and its content. Gameplay is as fun as ever, however, co-op is underdeveloped and some glitches are annoying.

Nicely processed mix of golf, puzzle and unconventional story. The options with tricks and traps are nicely resolved, but the levels are too similar and some are unnecessarily hard.

The timing after Three Houses is challenging and expectations are high, but FE Engage serves as the best of series in 30 years. Solid, although uneven plot, still interesting social interactions and non-combat parts are merged with excellent tactical strategy gameplay. Mixing new Engage tricks with established weapon-triangle and great maps layout will please fans for tens of hours.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is different from all previous Bayonetta games and exceeds expectations. It takes the form of a fairy tale book for children and has a similar story. While there is still action, it is more focused on the story and the friendship that forms between the two central characters. Additionally, the game surpasses expectations by offering a surprisingly long story campaign with an expansive world.

Tempest Rising is finally an RTS that will appeal to both veterans and younger players. It offers a very pleasant compromise between classic gameplay and modern processing. Don't expect a lot of originality, but there's no shortage of fun.

Football Manager still offers an unrivaled depth of experience, but this edition is more about a minor evolution and doesn't bring any really big new features. So, if you still have the previous edition on your drive and you are not a hardcore fan of the series, you will be fine with it.

Vertigo 2 is a beautifully quirky and genuinely fun action-adventure game that you'll enjoy on your first playthrough, and can return to again and again for slightly different experiences. It's a shame, of course, that there are a few minor niggles, and that the game might run out of steam towards the end.

Another point and click adventure game from Wadjet Eye Games brings another great story. You will enjoy captivating time travel. This is an excellently written point & click adventure game with an engaging theme, excellent dialogues and characters, logical problems and puzzles.

Even though the infamous Nioh title is absent in the Team Ninja’s newest soulslike experience, there is no doubt that it possesses the very same qualities as its predecessors. Visceral and hardcore combat mechanics are used against the most horrific of demons. Our nameless hero will explore the chunks of a wonderful world inspired by the Romance of Three Kingdoms whilst trying to bring peace to a war-torn feudal China. This cryptically epic horse ride will surely confuse you, make you cry with rage and mostly teach you the art of parry timings.

If you like games in Portal puzzle style, definitely do not miss The Entropy Centre. You get a time weapon and start solving rooms in the research center. The plot could have been more fleshed out, but otherwise it's a very pleasant experience.

However, the content of the game is another matter and the quality is not as clear. It's not that the content is bad, it's just that the developers play it too safe in terms of modes. So even if this is your first time with the series, you'll be very familiar with how these modes work and what to expect from them from the other games.

Avowed doesn’t aim to make you a superhero in an epic story on great battlefields. Instead, it wants you to listen, uncover the narrative page by page, find characters who reveal something important, and perhaps keep you uncertain about your final decision until the very end. A vast array of dialogue and combat choices is somewhat hindered by a lack of enemy variety. Minor visual and technical shortcomings slightly impact the otherwise unique aesthetic of a game that challenges you to reflect on your core principles and values.

Czech developers have brought a unique combination of genres that works great. The management train ride combined with military strategic missions, RPG development and survival elements is unique and extremely complex. In addition, the authors have captured well an unseen period and a little-known stage of Czechoslovak history.

A relaxing adventure golf game with a lot of content, but a lack of variety.

It's one of those games that requires a fair amount of patience and tenacity. With elements of roguelike and Metroidvania, the gameplay is great, but relentless and depressing at times. But for stubborn and persistent players, the game will reward their persistence and dying with great fun.

The green hell of the Amazonian rain forest will draw you even more into its bowels in virtual reality and brings you a much more intense experience.

Edge of Sanity can especially initially appeal to fans of survival games with an admixture of horror. But gradually it falls into a stereotype. The result is not bad at all, it's just a shame that the game can't maintain the momentum it has in the first hours until the end.

Building brighter tomorrows in a ruined world is back, and while it doesn't bring anything new or surprising, it's still fun.

Life is Strange: Reunion delivers an emotional return to beloved characters, blending a solid detective story with impactful choices and strong atmosphere. While the narrative and music shine, the experience is held back by minimal gameplay, technical issues, and a short runtime. It’s not the grand finale the series might deserve, but it still offers a meaningful and heartfelt conclusion for fans.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is among the best fighting games this year so far. It can attract you by its deep story, approachable and satisfying combat, and a lot of content.

The brave 2000s were a completely different period in videogame history. Franchising started to reach enormous heights and unknown players such as Beyond Good and Evil had unfortunately gone unnoticed. However, this inventive title slowly gained a cult following, and now after 20 years, its Anniversary Edition is hand-delivering a truly passionate love letter to all fans! This game was ahead of its time and once again shines thanks to updated visuals, better performance, and wholesome bonus content.

Despite the minor flaws, I'm having more fun with The Finals than I have had with any multiplayer game in perhaps the last 5 years. It's dynamic, explosive, exciting, mechanically perfect and technically polished. Gone are the pre-release flaws, and what's left is fun action gameplay for anyone hungry for action and destruction. Playing in small teams motivates a different play style to Call of Duty, Battlefield and others, and offers an experience that is virtually unmatched on the market.

If you're looking for an unusual platform game, you've come to the right place. Planet of Lana is a successful harmony of unique gameplay, emotions, graphics and melody. The only shame is that it is so short.

Blacktail has a solid foundation, and incredible open world, but lack of weapons, spells, and enemies. Therefore, it will soon become stereotyped and less attractive.

And even though the game managed to be sometimes too difficult or a little bit too frustrating at times, it never stopped being fun.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a unique blend of 3D platforming action-adventure for the whole family with Warren Spector's intelligent design that can easily last 15-20 hours. Or even more. It's a very good game, but some aspects of it haven't aged the best.

Its story of outsiders finding their place in the world is charming and emotionally engaging, enhanced by Tim Burton–inspired design and music. Its ever-changing puzzles, intuitive design, and heartfelt tone create a unique experience that’s as touching as it is imaginative. Minor camera quirks aside, it stands out as one of the year’s most distinctive games.

Lana and her companion Mui are back. They are an effective team once again and must work together to solve the problems facing a beautiful world under threat from machines and slavers. Although the story is longer this time, it ultimately shows that Lana still has room for improvement.

We often regard remakes and remasters as a corporate form of quick profit, but every now and then a unique title like Brothers Remake appears unexpectedly and you finally recognize what a true videogame labor of love is. It’s a project created with passion and true dedication of the authors to recreate something resembling the original as closely as possible and yet sprinkle here and there a little bit of originality and tiny improvements. Even though this tale of two sons is more than ten years old, this remake shows that it is still worth telling!

A very pleasant surprise in the current summer indie offer. The game brings relaxation, logical challenges and adds tension in one package. If you like puzzle games or escape room games, you should not miss it.

The management and simulation of trains is still fun, and in this game it is also enriched by the development of cities and the addition and improvement of buildings. The complex extensive campaign will be appreciated mainly by creative and at the same time patient players.

If you want pure action with spectacular shootouts, then Trepang2 is here for you. Although don't expect too much. You get adrenaline and intense action with decent numbers of enemies and poor story.

Terra Nil completely turned the concept of city bulider strategy on its head. Instead of building cities in it, you restore the ecosystem and you can relax incredibly.

The Touryst won't let you relax. Instead, the developers have prepared for you a 5-hour story full of puzzles, challenges and even mini-games across 8 colorful environments.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a very successful remake that adds a lot of new content in addition to the usual changes and improvements. However, the problem is that it doesn't improve anything at its core compared to its predecessors, and it's a step backwards compared to the more recent game, Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! offers something for both young and adult players. The basic concept is simple and easy for everyone to grasp. However, over time, it presents a decent challenge, allowing you to choose more difficult levels that truly test your intellect, speed, and reflexes. It is a pleasant puzzle game that fills your leisure time well, with few shortcomings - occasional imbalance in difficulty, a lack of significant new features, annoying character voices, and some subpar sound effects.

Pathologic 3 is like a roller coaster ride that first tires you out, then disgusts you, but ultimately fills you with pure wonder. It's not a game for everyone. The main protagonist may not be a likable companion, but his fight against death is one of the solid stories you'll remember for a while.

Well exactly that is an experiment codenamed Karmazoo, conducted by the developer Pastagames. Their newest game is not only adorable, artsy, and full of fun 2D platforming, but also offers a unique twist for the online cooperation gaming space. This hilarious adventure will offer huge amounts of fun to any online or offline enthusiasts, however, in the end, this concept is totally at its players base’s mercy!

The new Amerzone does this brilliantly, taking the original as a story base and improving on it with each part. You may have played the original adventure many times, and the gameplay will be completely different for you, but the atmosphere will be very familiar. Just take it.

As the last cube, you have to save an angular world full of puzzles. The game will catch you with its interesting concept and gameplay.

Overall, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is a decent follow-up to the first game and especially a comeback after the weaker Black Ops and Vanguard games. Especially in the multiplayer, which has good and now even improved gameplay, even smaller maps for intense battles, but also large maps for massive Ground War battles, all with new elements to the characters' abilities.

A great return to classic pixel FPS. Although graphically it may not suit everyone and it does not bring anything new, the gameplay and the atmosphere are definitely excellent.

A true old-school RPG that combines elements of Baldur's Gate and Dark Souls has finally delivered a finished adventure. And it won't let you down.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes players to historical Japan, featuring two distinct protagonists – the shinobi Naoe and the samurai Yasuke – each with unique gameplay styles and compelling stories. The game builds on the RPG elements of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla while streamlining mechanics and introducing a new main menu that connects multiple Assassin’s Creed titles. With no limitations from last-gen consoles, it delivers a richly detailed world, dynamic weather, and brutal combat, though it doesn’t bring major innovations to the series.

The King of Fighters XV is among the best entries in the series, but it somehow feels stuck in the 90s. There are great multiplayer possibilities on one hand, and bare-boned single-player content with lack of motivation on the other.

The Sun has disappeared, waters dried out, and darkness slowly creeped upon the inhabitants of this hand-moulded land of clay. Heads have forsaken bodies, houses started walking and creators felt unfulfilled. Horrors of beyond, terror and somber spread. Bizarrely scary, yet wonderful world, that resonates with lovely tunes and immaculate voices. And now as a last hope, the Burnt One and his Potboy friend have embarked on their Midnight Walk to journey to the Moon Mountain, in hopes of spreading the fire where others before them have failed to do so.

It's a sequel that doesn't deviate too much from the comfort zone of its predecessor, but brings at least a few novelties and improvements. It does suffer from the fact that the unit is quite fragmented in terms of content after all the additions, but it all just takes time.

Dying Light: The Beast is a smaller but enjoyable addition to the series, with the return of Kyle Crane and the new mountain setting of Castor Woods. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's a very good amalgamation of everything we've seen in previous Dying Light games.

South of the Circle is an emotionally driven interactive drama about love, passion, ambitions and survival. All of that very well executed with the backdrop of Cold War getting hot on frozen Antarctica.

The Quarry brings you the best story yet from Supermassive Games. In terms of gameplay, however, it lags behind its predecessors. In addition, you will encounter unpleasant technical bugs and glitches while playing.

FIFA 23 is good old FIFA with a lot of little tweaks that will surely appeal to a one part of the fans. If you've skipped a year or two or have a new console, the differences are very noticeable. For others, there are some good improvements and features.

Overall, Sniper Elite 5 is a very high quality and very playable addition to the Sniper Elite series. It offers an interesting environment, great replayability, but also plenty of cooperation and multiplayer options. Really good choice.

A new generation of From Software directors is maturing and Elden Ring Nightreign is among the first of their fresh crops. Even as a roguelike co-op spinoff it shines like one of the brightest stars held back by the mighty Starscourge Radahn. However, if you unfavour the RNG gods or Miyazaki himself, not only bad luck but horrible connection and inconsistent designs shall rain upon you and your teammates. Therefore, be brave Nightfarers and join forces against the powerful Nightlords!

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is one of the most mechanically complex fighters in years, offering a deep combat system you can master over dozens of hours—especially in multiplayer, where the game truly shines. However, the single-player content is repetitive, the story lacks impact, and the game struggles to present its complex mechanics in an intuitive way.

Rockstar releases GTA V for another generation of consoles. Now with small graphic upgrades and with 60 fps mode. But it's not enough for a paid upgrade.

Persona 5 Tactica fulfills many expectations like strong plot, sharp writing, interesting new characters and satisfying tactical combat with Personas at hand. Very solid entry into the series with more gameplay mechanics as you initially expected.

An enhanced adrenaline ride on the elevators to the stars with a pumping soundtrack. To be honest, there aren't that many improvements and you might be disappointed.

Kirby Air Riders is surprisingly catchy racing title with different modes, vast gameplay and nice selection of tracks & riders. Several main modes are bringing lot of quality content a different way of playing. But the fun is always here, content amount is very solid and Kirby with his crew are welcome especially in the multiplayer selection.

Horizon: Call of The Mountain is a showcase of the technologies of the new VR headset PSVR 2. And while technologically and audiovisually the game is captivating, the gameplay is relatively ordinary. Climbing itself will even soon become a stereotype.

Olympic Peninsula and its Exclusion Zone have hidden many secrets for more then three decades and now, after I got pulled in by a mysterious anomaly, it is finally time to reveal them all! But this is no happy tale of a handsome protagonist, but a mere mortal driver’s storyline, which wiggles and twists around a postapocalyptic wasteland. And what better tool to navigate it than a sturdy vehicle, armored with the knowledge of brilliant scientists and quirky tech, that will surely protect me from the horrors of this dystopian world…

Age of Imprisonment is the third entry in Hyrule Warriors series and finally manages to cope with the hardware right. Fast-pace combat, great tactic elements, vast maps and interesting ways to discover the past of the world are taking all players beyond. There is some repetition as usual in the Musou genre, but overall package is satisfying and worth a play. For newbies maybe even more as for the series’ veterans.

Lunar Lander Beyond shows that you can take the simplex gameplay of the '70s, give it a modern look, mechanics and story, and the result is an addictive game that will keep you entertained for those few hours.

Brave warriors raised by Slovak developers and with the support of the Norse gods set out among monsters and gigantic Jotuns. If you are a fan of auto battler games, Jotunnslayer might entertain you. Although somewhere above it stands Achilles: Survivor, which has somewhat richer content, extra gameplay elements and half the price tag.
