I should also point out unpleasant visuals, crappy voice-over work, horrendous pathfinding and sloppy UI, but it all simply adds injury to the insult, since, first and foremost, JA: Flashback fails as a tactical strategy game.

As much as CI Games wants to re-brand itself as a triple-A development studio that produces only blockbuster games, the final result is all too familiar. Enemy Front looks better, sounds better, but it’s still boring as hell.

Jake Keane 2 is crude and clumsy, as if the developers did not want to make this game at all, but someone forced them to.

A sloppy sequel to a great game marred with decade-old problems.

Monopoly with monsters – what can be better than that? Well, turns out, pretty much everything else.

It seems the developers were hard pressed to release the game before the movie's premiere. This kind of rush never ends well.

Three hours in, and Generation Zero is running on fumes. It will take you 30 hours to get to the end of this story, but what's the point? This game is just as dead as everyone in the alt-dimensional Sweden.

It’s so sad that Daylight became the first commercial product based on Unreal Engine 4. You can’t find worse publicity for Epic’s new tech than this.

An ugly-looking, tedious, monotonous, incredibly empty game. I see no reason to shell out for it, when you can get Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires or Samurai Warriors 4: Empires.

This game is a curious artifact of a bygone era. It's not terrible, but the story behind its development is far more interesting than the gameplay.

For a game billed as “A Space Trading Adventure”, Cosmonautica is too darn easy. It took me just one hour to amass enough fortune to roll in the dough for the rest of the game. And it’s all thanks to a dumb, single-cell economic model.

Tryst shows no originality in both story and gameplay. All that it has to offer was made by Blizzard 14 years ago.

Everywhere you look, Light is a sloppy, unfinished game. Next time I’ll think twice before voting for games in Steam Greenlight – who knows, maybe that short stylish trailer is actually the entire game!

Ace of Spades has all the components of a decent multiplayer shooter: stylish graphics, gameplay inspired by Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty, destructible environments… But the sum of these parts feels like a bad parody of popular games.

Double Fine overestimated its abilities and failed to produce a proper management strategy game. Remember Spacebase DF-9 every time before buying anything in Steam Early Access. Even a big name is not a guarantee that a game will be actually finished.

There is no need to be creative when killing enemies in Lucius 2 — the game is inhabited by certified idiots.

Despite the lack of decent hockey sims on PC, there's little reason to buy Old Time Hockey right now as it's a bouquet of bad game design decisions and technical problems.

Impire got old even before it came out, and its dated visuals are not the only problem. As someone who played Dwarf Fortress a lot, I can get used to poor quality graphics, but drab gameplay, forced jokes, buggy multiplayer and complete lack of fresh ideas will be the downfall of Impire.

Just like Hotline Miami, LA Cops also requires planning, excellent reflexes and never forgives a mistake. But here, you also have to babysit a stupid AI partner, wage war against an unwieldy camera, trying to rotate it to see an enemy in time, and deal with hordes of dumb, but sturdy, speedy criminals. Scary, right?

Sometimes a Hollywood studio tries to make a blockbuster, but the end result is so dumb and pathetic that you can’t stop chuckling while watching it. Aliens: Colonial Marines is a game equivalent of that kind of failure. So do yourself a favor – wait until it hits $4,99 on Steam (oh, it will!), buy it, gather your friends, and get ready to laugh for four hours straight.
