Madden NFL 20 is not a promised breakthrough, just a good enough game with some novel ideas, dumb defensive AI and the abysmally awful Face of the Franchise.

This ambitious attempt to create an MMO racing game pretty much failed thanks to horrible bugs and poor gameplay balance. And if you prefer playing alone, The Crew is not good enough for that, either.

A couple of evenings of wild, but fleeting fun – you will hardly get anything more from Screencheat.

Lords of Xulima is really an old-school RPG experience. Don’t skimp on reading the manual, or your adventure will end quickly and painfully.

Master Collection opens one of the greatest slasher series of all time to a new audience. Unfortunately, the chosen versions of these games and weak efforts to spruce them up will leave you disappointed.

A nice adventure for one playthrough with zero replayability and a host of technical problems, which is quite baffling for a linear 4-hour game.

Conarium fails at horror even when the protagonist completely loses his grip on reality — you just don’t feel anything. You are supposed to care about the ill-fated explorers, but character development pretty much doesn't exist in this story.

A bit absurd and outlandish, but still enjoyable space expedition that thankfully runs out of gas after you get your share of co-op fun.

Misfortune follows Styx everywhere in his travels around Akenash. If you somehow managed to complete the campaign without using F5/F9 even once, congratulations – you have an iron will. Most of you, though, will be loading the last quicksave every couple of minutes, because Styx can be so clumsy, especially when it comes to jumping.

One somewhat interesting specialization, +10 levels to upgrade your character, awful redesign of the main menu and crappy Act V — no one expected this expansion, but it fails to deliver anyway. Still, the new character class is a worthy addition.

March of the Eagles is very light on remarkable features – at least, in the single-player campaign. Multiplayer is more fun, provided you manage to find someone to play it with.

Commandos: Origins does not have an exciting storyline, does not offer any interesting situations, and does not haunt the imagination with unprecedented tactical possibilities. The game simply wasn't ready for release — you can see this at every turn.

Shadow Warrior 3 is fun at first, but combat situations quickly become repetitive, and there’s little variety in the gameplay itself.

I look at Ace Patrol, and it looks just like a board game, but, why, oh why is it so shallow?

Days Gone could have been much better if the developers cut it by at least a third, and added more varied missions into the mix.

By removing all the appealing elements of prison stories (colorful characters, daring escape plans as well as dangers and hardships of incarceration), the developers turned this virtual prison into its real-life equivalent — a punishment.

Whereas Minecraft is simple enough to be understood by a kid, LEGO Worlds drowns you in a plethora of almost useless features. Even something as mundane as building and painting is clumsy and eats a lot of your time.

Song of the Deep's first two hours can lull you into thinking that this is an awesome game: nice relaxing soundtrack, sensitive gameplay rules, a seemingly wide selection of abilities and their combinations. In reality, you'll get annoying encounters, boring boss fights, and repetitive puzzles.

It’s not so much a resurrection of a cult series, as just a pale imitation, complete with familiar names and sound effects, but devoid of depth and charm. Not much of a legacy, I’m afraid.

Mediocre graphics is a big letdown of Fairy Tail (a common flaw of many Japanese video games based on anime/manga), but it plays much better than you might assume by looking at screenshots and watching trailers.

Simple, but fun gameplay mechanics, appealing graphics, realistic physics make Snake Pass an enjoyable experimental 3D platformer. It needs a little bit more work to become a game, though.

There are some bright spots in Battlefield: Hardline’s design, but they do not change the overall pointless of this game. If you’re thinking about playing it online, better splurge on the well-patched Battlefield 4 with all its expansions.

Even though the developers use the word ‘communication’ three times when describing their game, it doesn’t require you to communicate much. If you want to really test your teamwork skills, try a board game called Hanabi or Left 4 Dead on maximum difficulty.

Abundance of bugs is the biggest problem plaguing 9 Monkeys of Shaolin. Other than that, it’s a fun beat ’em up which requires a bit more finesse than mindless button-mashing.

Destroy All Humans! is just too shallow in both shooter and stealth action departments. Enemies are barely a threat, saucer-only missions are scarce, and there’s nothing to do in the “sandbox”. Thankfully, drowning farmers and flinging cows for hours is not the only source of entertainment this summer.

Boring puzzles and at times jarring low-budget visuals stir a lot of negative emotions, but all this anger and frustration will be wiped away by the narrative tide of sincere emotions and soothing nostalgia. Ragnar Tornquist creates colorful character, and writes witty dialogue; he knows how to carry on the intrigue, make you laugh and, when the gods of drama demand it, sucker-punch you with full force.

It’s not the worst RTS game I’ve seen in my life. It’s just bland and pointless.
