Partisans 1941 appearance in the genre of real time tactics games tries to bring us memories from the past of the genre. Even though it is composed of some fresh ideas, these are left half-finished and the result can be frustrating. But where it fails miserably is when its developers try to tear apart the connection of Nazism to the dark events of WW II.

Ultimately LEGO 2K Drive is an arcade kart racing game with a solid core, but it trips itself up with design choices that try to increase the so-called engagement time, in the hope that the player will always nab something from the emporium. It's not bad, but it's certainly not as fun as the games it draws inspiration from.

Oriental Empires is an impressive debut from Shining Pixel Studios. It is apparent that a great deal of work was put into it, especially on aspects like the trade system. It manages to convey a immersive portrayal of centuries long Chinese conflict. The combat system though feels somewhat raw and counter-intuitive for a hex-based TBS, making combat more troublesome than fun on the long run.

Nebuchadnezzar tries to capture the feel of the iconic city builders of the 90's like Pharaoh. Whilst the need for constant grinding may prove too much for players looking for a carefree 80's-90's thrill, the sheer amount of love, soul and polish that has gone into every one of Punch Club's pixels, more than makes up for it. After the very intense Ep. 3: “New World Order”, Guardian of Gotham feels lackluster in narrative, along with uninteresting dialogue. Lacking tutorials or guidance of any sort, Hack 'N' Slash will delight hacking enthusiasts and students of computer science to no end, whilst at the same time utterly terrifying and mystifying anyone looking for the trademark easy good times associated with the Double Fine logo. We really hope and wish that Demetrios will bring COWCAT and Fabrice Breton the money needed to proceed with the creation of the next game, mostly in order to see if the talented French has something better and more imaginative to offer us in terms of script and overall story. All the other elements of Demetrios leave no doubt that through it a highly capable and ambitious developer was successfully introduced to all of us.

Sublime surrealist humor, this one speaks directly to the heart of every 30-something that's seen one more Monday than they could possibly take, at the office. Refreshingly clever and difficult puzzles are an additional bonus and we'd absolutely love to see more games in a similar mold by 11sheep.

An overly ambitious effort that has it's moments, but ultimately falls short of it's advertised potential.

Pumpkin Jack is not the game that will change your life, but what it is trying to achieve, that is, to offer a slightly old-school platform experience accompanied by various "spices" to provide more taste to the dish, it does it with dignity. As a work of a single person, the result is impressive, as a product it is just a decent title to spend your time.

Unfortunately, this contemporary Ninja Gaiden trilogy has been surpassed by other games of the genre. Awful camera, lack of target lock-on and, at times, unfair difficulty makes this whole experience a chore. If you do not have strong nostalgia for them or are not a die-hard fan of action games, you will not miss a lot by skipping it. You would be better off playing Nioh 1 & 2, which distilled some good elements of NG resulting in a couple of vastly superior games.

Somerville provides an interesting attempt to create a "new", sci-fi, Inside, but it fails in its implementation and in the abstract idea of its story.
