Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is anything but a bad entry, with specially delightful gunplay, very streamlined integration with other modes and games and a great Zombies Mode. On the other hand, the game doesn’t really excel in anything, will definitely profit from the upcoming extra content and is mostly more of what we know and love.

Do yourself a favor and don't rush through Assassin's Creed Valhalla's storyline as quickly as possible. Just do as you please, expand your settlement, lose yourself in side-missions, go looting, spend hours doing enlongated stealth-mass-murders, if it was up to me, even go fishing like you're playing Zelda. Long story short: do yourself a favor and make use of all the elaborated variety this game has to offer. When you do, you'll focus less on those audio-handicaps and the somewhat slow paced gameplay which prevent Assassin's Creed Valhalla from scoring an eight or higher.

It is evident that Miles Morales was initially meant as DLC, because it has almost exactly the same structure as Marvel’s Spider-Man, The Heist, Turf Wars and Silver Lining. This means that you’ll be going through the familiar motions a bit more and the fun doesn’t last as long as that of the original main game, but it definitely isn’t less intense or spectacular. Maybe the average amount of emotions per minute is even equal to that of Marvel’s Spider-Man, which is a mean feat.

Extremely challenging in an artificial way, not perfectly polished and lacking the music of Mick Gordon: The Ancient Gods – Part One doesn’t fully continue the Doom Eternal glory. Simply put, Star Wars: Squadron is a fine Star Wars space shooting spectacle with a pleasant price tag. It feels a bit cheap and old fashioned to some degree, and there's nothing groundbreaking here, but those are about the only flaws the game has. This is, graphically speaking, as well as technically, one of the most impressive remakes of the past years. Especially the improved cinematics do the story of Mafia justice. Marvel’s Avengers is basically a high production value Marvel Ultimate Alliance style action RPG, built around the structure of a game like Destiny. This is a powerful combination, featuring spectacular action and endless possibilities, but developer Crystal Dynamics stumbles in their ambition. Jump Force looks amazing, but in the end it is just one huge, shallow, one-dimensional smörgåsbord of Japanese franchises that deserve much better. Hopefully, for the next Jump-game, the developer doesn't spend all it's money on graphics.

Crackdown 3 dishes up a very basic and outdated experience. Still, it gives us a brilliant feeling of progression and also the hunt for Orbs is pretty fun. At least, coming from a gamer with a huge lack of taste.

Metro has to deal with some serious growing pains in its exodus to a triple-A franchise, which means Metro Exodus is still a far cry from a high quality blockbuster. The game offers not much more than some cool moments, nice gameplay and a few pretty pictures of its new expansive, post-apocalyptic environments.

If you have warm feelings for Disney characters and worlds, this is perhaps the best game ever, but even if you don't have a real connection with The Mouse House, Kingdom Hearts 3 still offers a fantastic action adventure. Took Square 13 years to make this, but it shows.

Gamers who have played the Wii U-version will not find shockingly-new content in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. On the other hand this Mario-title is a must-have for newcomers and 2D-platformer enthusiasts.

Don't ask me how Nintendo managed to put more than 35 years of experience and love into one product, but they succeeded. Smash Ultimate is not only the ultimate Smash game, the ultimate fighting game, the ultimate party game, and the ultimate collection of videogame nostalgia: it's the ultimate video game. I will continue to play this forever. At least, until Nintendo delivers another sequel.

Darksiders III is a bit rough, especially in the technical field, but in terms of content it is a surprisingly cool action-adventure that perfectly combines tasty hack & slash-combat with an interesting, semi-open world.
