After the disappointing Resistance: Burning Skies and the truly abysmal Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified, the Vita finally has a top shooter, which listens to the name of Killzone: Mercenary. Guerrilla Cambridge hit it out of the park with this fantastic handheld experience. It looks and plays great, its levels are varied and challenging, and the online multiplayer is hugely entertaining. If you own a Vita, you should own this game.

Grand Theft Auto V shows how to bring a PS3 title to the PS4 the right way. With a vastly improved open-world containing more traffic density, pedestrians and better graphics. GTA V is among the most beautiful games available on the PS4. Innovation is key with GTA V, with not only the three protagonists, but now also the addition of a very well done first-person mode.

Monster Hunter Rise is along with the Sunbreak expansion the pinnacle of a Monster Hunter experience. There is an awful lot of gameplay in this game and the expansion, which will keep you playing for an incredibly long time. If you do that in co-op, you will have even more fun. That the performance occasionally slows down should be taken for granted, because the rest of this game is truly phenomenal. The music, gameplay, the experience ... you will enjoy it to the fullest.

After the formidable Origins, Ubisoft continues the rebooted Rayman franchise with Legends. Once again, the developer hits it out of the park. It Takes Two is one of the best co-op games we've ever played. The creativity is splashing and the adventure is incredibly entertaining thanks to the mix of all kinds of elements, locations and situations. Donkey Kong is getting his own 3D action-adventure, and it turns out great. The level destruction feels satisfying, the stages are varied, the presentation is vibrant and colorful, and there’s an incredible amount to do. The fact that the game might be a bit on the easy side is a shame in terms of challenge, but that’s literally the only point of criticism. Looking for an excellent game for the Nintendo Switch 2? Then Donkey Kong Bananza is an absolute must-play.

Doom Eternal is everything its predecessor was, times two. A surprisingly engaging story grounds the insane action, that takes run-and-gun gameplay to a whole new level of awesomeness.

Pretty much the best soccer game up to date. There's still room for improvement though... then again, there always will be.

Hazelight redefines coop with this game, a unique and creative title in many different ways. The split camera is something we haven't seen before and in terms of gameplay there is plenty of variety to be found here. Both characters are very colorful and interesting and as a consequence the story is great. And although the main story seems to cave in little by little as you progress, the game concludes with a bonafide bang. A Way Out is unique, original and very special. We only wish that there were more games like it.
