Kirby and the Forgotten Land manages to bring the charm of the series into the tridimensional world. While some of its mechanics and level design have trouble evolving in order to remain accessible to the less skilled players, the game holds ground as a remarkably fun and atmospheric adventure. An absolute recommendation to all the Kirby fans, but also to those that seek some lighthearted fun that one can never truly have enough of.

Skywalker Saga is one of the best, if not the best Lego games we experienced. It is content-filled, it evolved its combat and gameplay, and it is just gigantic in scale and atmosphere that it will be a delight for all Lego and Star Wars fans alike. It may not possess the most complex or satisfying combat or gameplay systems but it will easily pull you into the world of Star Wars.

Gears of War: Reloaded is not a remake, but it’s a good re-release for Steam and PS5. I guess they are preparing the public for E-day, which is a prequel to this game. Now, this is not a critique, since I’ve relived my old Xbox 360 days with this release and I could not be happier. The biggest improvement from my point of view was the audio, which was assaulting my ears in a good way throughout the campaign. The multiplayer revival was also fun, and it did bring back the old-school feel of this game. The only things this release is missing are the second and third game.

An overclocked, moustached package of nostalgic goodies and refreshing, innovative greatness. While 3D World aged amazingly, and with a bit of polish shines strong again, Bowser's Fury could be the greatest Super Mario game of all time... When a miserable number of technical imperfections and shorter length of a game are its only flaws, be sure that we are talking about an absolutely mind-blowing title that should be a direction the series takes from now on. An Odyssey we were promised long ago, has finally reached us.

The most powerful Super Mario level designer tool is back. Whether you want to create or test out the creations of others, there is no doubt you will have a blast with Super Mario Maker 2. Unless Cappy brainwashed you and... Oh who am I kidding, this is a great game, and a must buy for any lover of the classic Super Mario platformer adventures.

Farming Simulator 22 offers a full package when it comes to simulating farming. Many of the previous mechanics and gameplay is even better, but with the addition of seasons, the game is even more complete. Farm away!

Weird West was a surprise all in all. I expected a rudimentary Action RPG, and I got an immersive dark fantasy cowboy sim that I could not let go of. The story is very well written, and the choices do matter in this game. Besides some AI issues, the game runs very well and is a great debut from a studio with so many game developer veterans. The game is played the way you want to play it, either gun blazing or with a diplomatic/stealth approach. There is something for everyone, and we highly recommend it.

Even though the game is the same at its core, the newest edition of Football Manager is an amazing experience, and still remains the best football management simulation out there.

Dispatch is a wonderfully pleasant surprise—from its excellent voice cast and its fresh take on the overplayed superhero theme, to gameplay mechanics that blend Telltale-style storytelling with innovative systems. Most importantly, it delivers a beautiful, fun, emotional, and thoroughly entertaining story that’s hard to put down until the very end—and even then, it leaves you wanting more.

The Drifter is an amazing point-and-click adventure game that forces you to think fast in order to save the protagonist from a deadly fate. Aside from engaging puzzles, the game stands out thanks to its thrilling story, full of mystery and emotion.

True Colors came with a great change, a one time release instead of an episodic one. The story, characters and other elements are at their root. True Life is Strange experience with a focus on trauma, life and what we make of it.

This has got to be one of the best “nostalgic reboots” this franchise has to offer. Plenty of awesome and beloved mini-games, built within a well-optimized, snappy experience. When it comes to the number of playable characters or boards, content is still lacking. But all that the game offers truly is something special.

Book of Demons is a hidden gem, taking some of the best elements from action RPGs like Diablo and Path of Exile. It maintains its unique paper cut-out style, while providing a fun and intriguing equipment and advancement system.

One of the best entries in the series yet, deep enough for veterans and approachable for the new players.

A title worth the wait, Shin Megami Tensei V makes for one of the best JRPGs of the year. With an atmospheric world, well known and fun systems and a great story, the recognizable style now shines as bright as ever. Still, don’t expect this game to hold your hand. It requires dedication, patience and at least some knowledge about the series to truly enjoy it to the fullest.

After all these years, Yakuza Kiwami shows that it can work splendidly even on the PC platform. Still one of the best games in this series, with its rich story, intriguing characters, and fun gameplay mechanics.

Yet what can’t be denied is the fact it’s not an „everyday title“, and as such is not for everyone.

Even though it’s not a perfect game, Total War: Warhammer 3 is indeed very close to the ultimate Total War experience. The diverse factions, the epic campaign and the vast, beautiful world are guaranteed to draw you in and keep you in for at least a few hundred hours.

Subset Studio has once again proved that they are masters of gameplay, UI and style design. In moments when FTL was hectic and chaotic, Into the Breach is precise and tactical while preserving the same feel of tension, danger and adrenaline rush. Simply brilliant.

If you've wanted to try out a Monster Hunter game but were always discouraged by its complexity and systems, here's a title that might change your mind. A few minor flaws can't touch the grand pattern, made up of a great story, beautiful visuals, fun mechanics and memorable characters. Ni No Kuni II is still just that - amazing. Do not miss it.

Meet the Prince of Metroidvania. The recipe for this genre is so well perfected that a studio like Ubisoft can't possibly make something bad out of it. All jokes aside, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is extremely fun and visually flawless, with its beautiful environments, action-packed battles and challenging platforming puzzles. All in all, a perfect example of an amazing Metroidvania title.

Perfect remake for a perfect game. Bluepoint outdid themselves with the remake for a game that will always be remembered as one of the greatest pieces of art ever created.

Putting nostalgia aside, this might be the greatest sequel the Tekken franchise has ever received. Quite aggressive and visually attractive, everyone can find something to enjoy in this latest instalment. Add the simplified controls for the newcomers, and it is almost guaranteed everyone will have a good time with this game if they ever decide to give it a go.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the best way of experiencing this gorgeous video game. It is maybe not a reason enough for some people who have already completed the game due to its expansion being relatively short and PS5 upgrades not bringing anything “game-changing”, but it is a great piece of content and an upgrade that truly boosts the overall experience that many new players and existing ones will feel and appreciate.

A definitive revival that finally fixes the original's clunky camera, transforming a gothic cult classic into a fluid modern experience. While the linear level design shows its age, the haunting atmosphere, legendary voice acting, and inclusion of the lost Dark Prophecy demo make this an essential masterpiece for fans of LoK series.

Despite some story pacing issues and a bit loosened, “easier” roguelite systems, It is a remarkable game - its gameplay, level design and overall feel are one of the best and it is sure to provide many fun hours of sci-fi chaos and horror.

If you never loved the Monster Hunter series, yet you found yourself intrigued by it, this could be your moment to fall in love with its world. The original Stories was an easily overlooked game since it was exclusive to the 3DS. However, this sequel is not just more available, but also an amazing and charming title on its own. You need to manage your GPU farm and maximize profits, but don't be tempted to sell everything right away. Prices are historically based and you can influence them in later stages.

Aeterna Noctis is one of the most beautifully created 2D games to date. Its Metroidvania nature doesn’t provide anything new to the genre, but it poses the player with enormous amounts of content, challenge and fun, even with its sometimes clunky gameplay and irritating gameplay design choices. A must-play, and the best metroidvania of 2021.

Sparks of Hope improves on the original in almost every aspect. Great characters, a well-designed mysterious world, enjoyable combat and loads of puzzles to solve make this one of the best collab games we’ve seen in a long time.

Expeditions: Rome is sure a masterclass in writing and player choice. It is a true RPG, with a great historical period, political intrigues and vast combat situations to navigate. Even though it possesses some lacklustre moments like its legion sieges and skirmishes, it is a completely polished, fun, well written and content-rich experience.

The Alters is a very successful blend of base management, survival crafting, and narrative-driven exploration. It delivers a compelling story, intense gameplay, and a unique approach to the genre, offering strategic depth without being overwhelming, and allowing players to stay focused on the story.

Legendary RTS and the original Esport enjoys fresh new life with beautiful HD textures and new matchmaking system.

The PC version brings all that was great about the original, plus some additional technical problems we did not expect to see after an excellent Final Fantasy XV PC port. Even though many of these problems can be easily fixed if you know how to google and are not afraid of mods, the lack of graphical upgrades and options still disappoints those who expected something more. But all of this still can’t be enough to diminish the final verdict, and this game remains to be an amazing title no one should miss, no matter which platform you choose to play it on.

Persona 5 Royal is the ultimate way to experience the renowned game. It may be worth a lower price upgrade if you already have it on the PlayStation 4, but for newcomers, it is hands down the best edition to get. And you should.

With some bold innovations, the game pulls all the best from previous iterations and makes it into one of the best FPS games in recent history.

Yakuza Zero is a fantastic game. Spectacular main story combined with great diversity of sub-stories and solid gameplay create a rather unique game.

In an age of small DLCs to see a full old school expansion is a really refreshing sight. War of the Chosen enriches the original experience on a whole new level and it's a must for fans of the XCOM series.

Legacy of Thieves is a minor, yet noticeable visual upgrade, that mostly ravishes itself in its unlocked 60 FPS and 120 FPS modes. These are the best ways to experience Drake's final journey, especially in 60 FPS, with its clarity, reflections and shadow resolution still being a notch above the previous version with the smoothest experience so far. It still isn’t enough for new fans to put out full price, as previous owners of only one of the two titles will profit the most, getting the two games for the price of one.

If Final Fantasy XV was meant to take the stray path, the 16th instalment made that path reach a worthy goal. Switching the old formula from a turn-based RPG to an all-out action-packed game may sadden some long-time fans. But the simple yet emotion-filled plot makes up for it, despite the sometimes awkward adult themes. Final Fantasy XVI somehow manages to stand on its own as one of the flashiest games ever and be a truly EIKONIK experience in every other aspect. Though wishing for the next one to rely a bit more on some of the traditional strengths of the series surely is a justified desire.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about the final appearance of Nathan Drake, this time finally on PC. It plays remarkably, it looks even better, and now with a keyboard and mouse, you can have the most enjoyable shooting experience. An immaculate must-play for action-adventure fans and anyone who owns a PC.

Aliens: Dark Descent adds a hefty amount of ''Alien flavour'' to the well-established XCOM formula, making it a novel, fun, exciting and challenging experience. Even if you aren't an Alien fan, it is worth checking out if you're into team-based strategy games.

Diablo IV does not alter or revolutionize the two-decades-old formula but polishes it instead. While Blizzard admittedly ‘’played it safe’’, we can't deny it's a fantastic product that's easy to recommend. In its current state, it's one of the greatest entries in the series and by far the one with the best story. If microtransactions aren’t introduced later, Diablo IV will remain an amazing title to play for years to come.

Chivalry 2 is pure fun with limbs and heads flying on medieval battlefields. It is refreshing, easy to learn but hard to master, combat makes it one of the best multiplayer experiences of 2021.

In order to stay entertaining, Disgaea 6 had to drop some of its prior mechanics and go for easier grind but more over the top moments. While this can disappoint some of the fans of the long-running series, it is at the same time essential as it makes this title as great as any other game in the franchise. An absolute must-have for anyone who enjoys a funny story, crazy mechanics and absolute madness when it comes to levelling up your characters.

If you want an ultimate Final Fantasy VII Remake experience, it is not easy to deny this is it. Snappy loading times, many improved textures, 4K resolution and a bonus story, surely may seal the deal. Yet some of the improvements actually make the game lose details, making the fact that it runs on a PlayStation 5 hardware less impressive than it was a year ago on the PS4. Still, this is an extremely easy recommendation to all the JRPG lovers out there.

Grindstone is an awesome arcade puzzler in match-3 style. Its cartoonish visuals with refreshing gameplay are more than enough to make it a must play for every fan of arcade games.

Guilty Gear -Strive- is an astonishing example of masterful visual fidelity, quality fighting gameplay and weird multiplayer design decisions. It comes with a not that great array of characters and some seriously slow server connection, but being the complete visual masterpiece and possessing one of the best gameplay the series has to offer, it is hard not to recommend it to any fighter or anime fan.

A nearly perfect RTS in a Warhammer 40k universe, universe that the developers absolutely understand. If you’re an RTS fan, you must try this game.

A grand finale that summarizes one of the most legendary waits for a video game sequel - ever, and really does a fine job! Kingdom Hearts III is a complex yet perfectly lite experience story-wise, packed with amazing combat and adorable worlds and characters. It is a game that lives up to the Kingdom Hearts name and is something you should not miss, whether you are a long term fan or new to the franchise.

Rocket League has the most addicting gameplay we experienced in a while now. Playing this game reminded us why we fell in love with gaming in the first place.

WRC 9 is one of the best rally games to date. It still is a simcade, but remains true to its formula, giving players a lot of new content with upgrades around every corner and on each course.

A very few games can compare to Kakarot in terms of sheer love towards the original series and storytelling qualities. Not without its set of flaws that leave only regret not being even greater, Kakarot still manages to be a great game for fans. No, scratch that. It manages to be an amazing game! May they not stop here, and deliver more and more of love-letters like this. If it goes in the right direction, the next one could definitely be legendary.

Dorfromantik is a gorgeous indie gem that presents its player with the tranquility of building a romantic German village. It is a truly relaxing experience, where its simplicity truly shines. Chasing that high score with its tile placement gameplay can be utter fun, even though it may not be for everyone, it is truly a masterful experience that presents much needed respite in these times.

Much more than just an amazing level editor, Mario Maker is the essential title for every 2D Mario fan.

A collection of 3 marvelous, timeless titles, that could be improved upon a bit further, but still stand strong, defying the test of time. While the price should ironically be more like 35 instead of 60 and the availability should not suffer a six months long deadline, these are still one of the best Super Mario games of all time and nothing can change that. If you can get it - get it.

If you compare it to the previous installments you might feel disappointed. If you compare it to the rest of the gaming industry, then you’ll experience the ingenious excellence. The mixed feelings between an unfinished story and premium gameplay fail to ruin the greatness of what The Phantom Pain really is. But you won’t be able to shake off the regret of great not being even greater.

After 9 years, To the Moon still brings tears to our eyes.

Warhammer 40K Boltgun is a fantastic boomer shooter that combines modern visuals and gameplay with a retro look and feel. The story is lacking, but at the end of the day, nothing matters when you’re ripping and tearing in the Emperor’s name. Boltgun, for all intents and purposes, serves as a bridge between Space Marine and its imminent sequel but can easily hold its own as a fantastic video game.

Ghostrunner 2 adds some new ideas and improves on the old ones, making this already high paced, high adrenaline, one-hit-kill action packed FPS even more challenging and fun. The new bike sections are great and bring something new to the game, but the open world is lackluster and empty. I hope that Ghostrunner 3, if it ever sees the light of day, will be able to improve on the open world aspect but keep the overall feel of the game.

Once again, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio gives us a Gaiden game that’s almost as good as the main series titles. The gameplay is spiced up with a few fun gadgets that turn Kazuma Kiryu into a proper secret agent of the 007 caliber. Even though it’s not a main title, The Man Who Erased His Name still has one of the smallest maps in the series and the game itself is a little too short, but is insanely fun nonetheless.

Slay the Princess is a brilliant psychological horror that puts a creative twist on the 'damsel in distress' trope. It delivers an intense narrative where every choice shapes the story, filled with unexpected twists and unforgettable outcomes.

This might be the best interpretation and adaptation of the RoboCop IP, as well as the greatest RoboCop game to date. Even though the gameplay can feel janky at times, Rogue City still offers a unique experience that you shouldn’t miss, especially if you’re a fan of the franchise.

A logical evolution of the formula, Titanfall 2 is everything we wanted from the original game and more, a solid foundation that will be built upon for months to come.

Designed by passionate horror fans, Until Dawn is a love letter to the era of slasher movies, a game fully aware of its ridiculousness that asks players to join it for one heck of a ride. Whether you play it by yourself or with a friend or two, this is an adventure worth partaking in.

Such a simple, and yet such an amazing game. Among Us puts the crew of astronauts against an Impostor who looks the same as other players, but is on a task to sabotage and murder everyone. Gameplay works perfectly and can easily break a few friendships.

Phantom Liberty is a true redemption arc, more reflected in its free of charge changes depicted in the vanilla game, while still providing a very nice amount of content and espionage action to do with V in the new Dogtown district. Even though it is not as well written as the original, it has some great moments and stellar performances from its high profile cast, while diving more into the atmosphere that is Cyberpunk.

If you loved the original, Director's Cut won't really offer anything mind blowing when it comes to the gameplay. A couple of innovations might please those that found the original too sluggish or repetitive, but what really makes the game shine this time around, is a flawless presentation. Graphics, audio and controls, make this as immersive and memorable experience as possible. Still not a title anyone could enjoy, but those who will - won't ever forget it.
