A game that tries to be every major street driving game you can imagine. At the end of the day, Driver: Parallel Lines feels a bit dated and jaded. Some fun car chases and over-the-roof-top racing, though. And yes, good music. [Apr 2006]

Ride 2 tries to be the Gran Turismo of motorbikes. The real world tracks are good, but the original tracks are dull and the too fast reset after falling rewards reckless driving in multiplayer. [Nov 2016]

Section 8 tries to combine with some success many of the best elements of popular multiplayer shooters and boosts the package with rocket-powered action. Unfortunately not many players have found the game. [Nov 2010]

Yet another collection of separate ideas, which do not work together. The simplistic and far-too-easy gameplay is insulting. Maybe someone with actual gaming experience could make Black & White finally work? [June 2006]

Magicka 2 is like its predecessor, in good and bad alike. Feels like Magicka 1.7, not 2.0. [Aug 2015]

Has maybe the most entertaining song list yet in any Guitar Hero game, but unfortunately they are all too easy to play even on the hardest difficulty setting. The price tag for only a 30 song upgrade is a bit hefty, too. Still, it is fun for a sudden bout of 80s nostalgia. [Sept 2007]

While bringing nothing new to the series and having some serious problems with the camera and clumsy battle controls, the game still comes out as highly atmospheric and enjoyable survival horror-experience. [June 2008]

Castle of Illusion feat Mickey Mouse HD. The new adaptation of Castle of Illusion is an extremely beautiful platformer, and nice to play, too, but Sega clearly tries to take advantage of Capcom's neo-DuckTales. Mickey Mouse isn't as memorable a main character as Scrooge McDuck, and this game is ultimately just reaching for the fruits of the neo-retro craze. [Oct 2013]

An outrageously corny and a massively extravagant shooter that delivers plenty of short-lived fun, but the severe repetition and absurd length of the game eat away at the spirit of the fast-paced shooter. [Jan 2008]

Party like it's 1999 – and not in a good way! Who cares about the controls if the content is a total wash. The little life Conduit has come’s from the decent multiplayer. [July 2009]

Dragon Age: Origins - Return to Ostagar is little more than a short sightseeing quest in the snow-covered ruins of Ostagar. A few hours' worth of fighting the same old enemies doesn't quite cut it as good DLC, but thankfully the pricing is in line with this. [Mar 2010]

Fixes some of the first Risen game's issues, the graphics look great and the pirate theme is refreshing, but combat is still pretty awkward and the quests include a lot of running back and forth. Still, it's not a bad game by any measure and for fans of Gothic and Risen it's a treat. [May 2012]

NBA Live 07 looks and sounds great. The pace on the court is just right, but the AI players are not quite up to their tasks at all times. Good fun, nonetheless. [Dec 2006, p.82]

Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is tactical space battle, with really good and innovative battle module. Unfortunately it also has possibly the worst campaign presentation ever in history of videogaming. Ugly heads talk and talk and talk. And talk some more. [Aug 2015]

This year's MotoGP is a nice mixture of arcade and simulation. The game has some minor flaws, but the big picture is in working order. The start may be a bit hard, but once the game opens up, you really learn to appreciate it's differences from the horde of four-tire racers. [Apr 2010]

Sometimes great, sometimes infuriating (on PC, Chris's run from Haos is a game killer) but always entertaining and dare I say challenging (at least compared to Call of Duty, Gears of Wars and other casual handhelders).

A decent hockey game, but there are not that many improvements compared to the last year’s edition. AI has been improved and some little details have been tweaked, but lack of significant innovations is too obvious. [Nov 2010]

Competent WW2 -version of World in Conflict, camera controls could use some extra freedom. But when gameplay is simplified, it must be compensated with gorgeous graphics and interesting story, as WiC did. And Order of War is truly lame name. [Nov 2010]
