Rage is quite possibly the best looking first person shooter to date. Excellent graphics and top-notch action aside, Rage feels nothing like id Software titles of the past. One could argue that it's their first truly new title since Doom. While Rage has many endearing qualities, the side quests are a major let down. After a few hours of adjustment, blam! I suddenly fell in love with RO2, regardless of the bugs and other issues. Its unique, realistic, ruthless portrayal of war is a refreshing antithesis for crowdpleasers like Call of Duty and Battlefield. RO2 will be a long lasting cult game, and personally I can't wait the game is fixed so I can get back to the ruins of Stalingrad! [Oct 2011]

The latest Angry Birds title is a welcome addition to a franchise, which hasn't seen much change since its inception back in 2009. This time you don't smack pigs with a slingshot. Instead, you get a taste of simplified turn-based RPG combat, which works like a charm. The major downside of Angry Birds Epic is its free-to-play format. In a true Japanese-style RPG, you'd never spend real money to buy stuff to make health potions. [Aug 2014]

Remedy’s newest action-adventure is ambitious, looks gorgeous and has great action, but the story doesn’t quite live up to its potential. [Apr 2016]

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is 80's dumb and great at it. Far Cry 3's stealth is still in place but gives space to straight action and power fantasy - and ballads. [June 2013]

Although I lost my Settlers virginity at a fairly old age, growing a functional colony is very, very addictive. The game brings back a load of childhood memories, which is definitely one of the game's strongest sides. There are some minor flaws though. The AI is passive and if you need to handle million things at once, sometimes the game gets quite confusing. [May 2010]

Professor Layton's first appearance on 3DS is one of the best entries in the series. The puzzles are grade A and the main storyline is compelling. The technological advances are somewhat minor and the game doesn't really benefit from the 3D effect. [Dec 2012]

Third installment to the Stalker-series is by far the best iteration of the saga. When compared to the radioactive role-playing world of Fallout, the only things that this game is missing are experience points and some decent dialogue. The game is much closer to a simulator than an fps-game. In this perspective, it's odd, that all the weapons resemble pea-shooters. [Feb 2010]

Another solid add-on for one of the best MMORPG's currently on the market. This time the content is clearly aimed at organisations, but newbies and lone wolves are not totally forgotten either. [Feb. 05]

Fallout 3: Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta are Fallout 3's last two expansions and surprisingly from the opposite ends of the quality spectrum. In the world of mobile games F2P is the king. Every once in a while you'll be positively surprised, when someone releases a real game, that you can buy with a single purchase. Lara Croft GO is a prime example of a mobile game done right, both in pricing and game design. It utilizes the platform's strong sides instead of being just a forced console port. [Oct 2015]
