Advance Wars for PSP. Luckily there are also new ideas, like stackable units, mines and destructible forest. Too bad it is only for two players. [Sept 2006]

More of a shooter than a platformer, which is a little surprising. The new weapons are not as hilarious as before, but everything rolls on smoothly. A great game with good variety in multiplayer options. [Dec 2005]

A couple of small tweaks makes the game even better: stronger horse units and better character customisation. The only disappointment are the bland graphics, GameCube could do much better. [Dec 2005]

A Diablo style dungeon crawler where the main idea is to slay hundreds or even thousands of monsters and collect all kinds of magical loot. The game does have a couple of fresh ideas such as the pet companion that assists you in battle and can also storage items or sell them in the village. The main problems with the game are the lack of multiplayer and originality but overall Torchlight is a good little game that’s very addictive and fun. [Dec 2009]

An awesome shooter that looks gorgeous and feels great. Although shooting is fun, the gameplay tends to be a bit frustrating because of the long levels, too few checkpoints and no saving option during the missions. [Mar 2006]

Black Plague ends the story that began in Overture, and it does the job pretty nicely. Black Plague is more than just a polished version of Overture. Leaving out all the combat was a smart move and makes the game much more scarier. The puzzles are decent and even though there are clichees in the story, it has enough twists to make the story feel not worn-out. In my opinion, Penumbra duology is one of the best horror-adventures available for PC at the moment. [Mar 2008]

An outrageous orgy of twisted metal and flying debris. The races are fast and furious. Too bad the AI drivers cheat to keep the races exciting. [Aug 2006, p.28]

Fun and action-packed. Las Vegas is the perfect setup for action. It does get a bit repetitive towards the end, though. [Sept 2007]

A very good classic FPS. The warfare-mode is great fun with large amount of players. Too bad the maximum is only 16 players. [Sept 2008]

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has similar strenghts and weaknesses as the first game. While the action is great and the horror-elements work well enough, F.E.A.R. 2 suffers from rather un-inspirational enviroments. I love secret underground complexes as much as the next guy, but three of them in one game is a bit too much! [Feb 2009]

You can't judge the whole series by the first episode, but if you could, Grand Adventures would be top quality already. The game adaptation hasn't lost the spirit of the wax-animation series, on the contrary, the game feels like a natural companion to them. The plot's nice, voice-acting's good and the puzzles are enjoyable, although a little too easy. Few rough edges still remain, but the future's looking good. Cracking job, Telltale! [May 2009]

Pikmin 3 combines RTS elements, direct action and light puzzles. The result is a quite endearing scifi-adventure despite some control issues and bland splitscreen multiplayer. There's also no real need to develop special tactics for bosses. [Aug 2013]

Flatout Ultimate Carnage shows how to do the best possible gaming entertainment. PC-version is a straight conversion from Xbox 360, so everything looks the same and feels the same. Although, Bugbear should have made the real PC-like menus and better steering wheel support for PC. Even so, UC is filled with pure gasoline and testosteroine and is absolutely fun to play. You should buy this, if you already haven't. [Sept 2008]

Loyal to the game of basketball in every possible way. There are more offensive options than one can even imagine to use and new defensive controls are a great addition. My Player mode is the best career mode in sports games so far. However, there are some issues with camera angles and a couple of awkward glitches that need to be fixed. [Nov 2010]

Shows that the Monkey Island still got what it takes. The new art and musical score are beautiful and voice acting is of good quality. Story and writing are still superb, puzzles are inventive and the game is witty. On the minus side the interface is a little obsolete and there's also a little bit too much running to and fro. Also the imitators of Monkey Island series have eaten away a little bit of the original's magic. Nevertheless the game's still well worth it’s price. [Aug 2009]

Grim Dawn scratches the right action RPG itch with a plenty of loot to hoard and a decent skill system that offers plenty of options to build the perfect demon-blasting hero. The only problem is the lack of a proper endgame, as the non-randomized maps and locations becoming too familiar too fast. [May 2016]
