Rough and ready, silly and ugly, this survival sim is charming, but hugely uneven. [May 2017, p.78]

So this isn't Dance Central and it certainly isn't Lips, but if you're firing it up for a party, Michael Jackson: The Experience is definitely enough to keep a gang of, preferably drunk, mates entertained - even if it is absolutely propped up by the undeniably stellar music and iconic dance routines.

There's no multiplayer, and even on the Hard setting this game is a piece of cake. It's fun while it lasts, but it ends so quickly you're bound to be disappointed.

Child friendly but not alienating to adults - this is an enjoyable adventure for one or two.

Superstars V8 Racing is a decent and, at times, surprisingly pretty racer, and while it's never going to blow GRID's graphics or Race Pro's handling out of the water, it does conjure up happy memories of classic Codies TOCA games. Here's hoping by next year, Milestone has mastered the art of a more immersive career mode.

Not quite forgettable, thanks to sturdy core concepts, a diverse line-up of cards and some infuriating micro-transactions.

A bit broken, quite derivative and short on narrative appeal - but rich with customisation possibilities and enjoyable at the level of the firefight.

On a hand-held, you'd think "well done chaps, this is a good boiled-down version which keeps the core of the game intact". But on a console, and so soon after Black Flag, it feels like an over-long chunk of watery DLC.

It's simple and quite fun - especially if you're a depraved and drooling pervert - but the extremely basic, traditional wrestling action and lack of any lasting challenge sinks Rumble Roses down to a disappointing A-cup of a game.

But Despite the artful simplicity of the game we just can't justify paying money for this. Throwback kudos and nostalgia value aside, the game involves too little skill in comparison to the likes of Joust or the aforementioned "Geometry Wars."

Commandos Strike Force achieves the impossible - it's a wargame that's innovative and interesting to play. Switching characters in the middle of a battle keeps the pace high, while the solo chapters use each fighter and their skills to their fullest.

Without wishing to be Volga, this is a real kick in the Urals. Punitive old-school design meets needless contemporary complexities, with rehashed set-pieces Putin the final nail in the coffin.
