    A good evolution of the first game's mechanics, adding more depth in the character leveling system and shifting the gameplay more towards its action-RPG side. Worth a check by the genre's lovers.

    There are many elements that compose How to Survive 2. And that’s maybe its greatest virtue but its worst flaw. It’s a competent game in every aspect it proposes: action, role, survival, exploration… But it doesn’t achieve to be profound enough in anything to consider it a remarkable experience.

    How to Survive 2 is a game that performs well in all aspects and is a good choice if you want to begin to try the survival genre. Also, the multiplayer mode and the great amount of hours you can spend in the game are two aspects that will make you enjoy this title a lot, and it is perfect for the genre's lovers.

    How to Survive 2 is definitely a much improved sequel, the added player count is a neat addition giving you the option to enjoy the cool parts of the game with more people, including the interesting community building mechanics that you could literally get lost in, or the upgrade and survival-able systems. Nevertheless a culmination of small, but meaningful issues, leaves me with a sweet but bitter taste in my mouth.

    How to Survive 2 isn’t a bad game but it does feel uninspired. Following the same basic principles of the original as well as the majority of its gameplay structure, How to Survive 2 feels more like an expansion—or a large patch—than a new game.
