Overall, Beyblade: Metal Fusion is a big disappointment for me. The extremely ridiculous storyline is just uninspired, and the battles get monotonous. Fans of the franchise may gain something out of it, but everyone else should stay away.

The Deer God is a tough sell, its visuals and music can’t help make this game any less frustrating. If you have a lot of time and more importantly a lot of patience maybe this game is good for you, but as it stands, I would stay clear.

Inkheart does offers two-player wireless play (mini-games only), assuming both players have a copy of the game, which is kind of insulting. I really can’t, in good conscience, recommend this DS game to any but my worst enemies.

A terrible game. It's in 3D, and the Burnout tracks are scaled down well, but nothing else about the game is worth sitting through. It's slow, boring, and poorly put together, three things that the Burnout series is definitely not known for.

Darts Up is straight up better on the Nintendo 3DS. While you can play Darts on the big screen, you will be mostly looking to the little screen anyway.

Ultimately, Dragon Blade Chronicles is a wasted opportunity.

Outbreak is sort of a fun mode, but it does get old quickly, and everything surrounding it is unexplained or prone to error messages, and I can see it becoming kind of gross in a free-to-play way. Blades of Time is bad, and you should not play it.

R.B.I. Baseball 2017 is the sacrifice bunt of the Switch. It has a purpose in theory and might have been acceptable in its current form several years ago, but more efficient ways are on the way to get a sports fix. And with Baseball Stars 2 hopefully coming from Hamster and the fingers-crossed dream of mine that Super Mega Baseball 2 will touch 'em all including the Switch, we won't be lacking for smart baseball options. In a simulation game, I'd at least like to bring Youppi back to a baseball stadium, but that'll have to wait 'til next year.

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle originally started out as a PlayStation Vita game, and would have released there a few months ago but for NIS America's desire to do a simultaneous multiplatform release. A game of this quality wouldn't have been acceptable on the Vita, and being on the Switch is only serving to expose its myriad flaws to more people. If you need to see girls beat the snot out of each other on the Switch, there's already plenty of better options.

What little merit PixARK has is thoroughly overshadowed by how blatantly unfinished it is. It’s astonishing that a Minecraft knock-off would be listed on the eShop at a higher price than Minecraft, but it’s truly mind-boggling that the actual game is in such a sorry state. Do not play PixARK.

I came for the appealing art style with the hopes of finding a competent 2D platformer, but ultimately that failed to happen. This already short game doesn’t offer up enough variety to keep it engaging for very long and some mechanical issues only further dampened the experience. Couple all that with very limited replayability and what you’re left with is a forgettable game.

The simplistic design and superficial gameplay are sure to turn off everyone, including the young girl target group, and especially horse owners.

As it stands, the only thing this game was running was out of ideas.

A hollow experience that can’t even deliver on its admittedly hokey premise with some mindless bug-bashing fun. The controls are awkward, methodical, and frustrating, while the visuals are a big step back, even by the standards of last generation’s hardware.

Game Party 3 can be fun with friends, but in the end, the lack of variety of the game selection and wonky controls hold it back from competing with the top dogs of mini-game genre.

Urban Champion is by no means a great game, but if you're willing to shell out $4.99, it can be a fun diversion when you just don't have a lot of time to sink into more robust titles.

This fast-paced samurai side-scroller can be hard at first, but after a few rounds it becomes a game worth coming back to.

Swords and Darkness is a functional game, and that’s the best thing that I can say about it.

Twisted Fusion is a good game with a solid structure that woefully lacks a lot of polish. A lot of fun can be had and a nice sense of adventure pervades the game, but sadly the whole thing is held back by the choppy camera, frame rate, and overall production quality.

Overall Monster Jam: Crush It is a hot mess of a game that is coming to eShop in a state that’s simply baffling. While on paper the license mixed with the various modes sounds like a lot of fun, the execution of not just the graphics but the overall gameplay makes it feel more like a game from a previous generation and I’m not only talking about the previous one. It’s really hard not to believe that this has been slapped together and is being sent out to market to simply ride on the assumption that Monster Truck fans, and more likely their parents, will buy it on sight. That’s a shame and especially when you throw the $40 asking price onto the package Crush It is a disappointment.

Hollow, as a game, is an effective horror experience plagued by some poor goal communication with the player. It has clear issues but at its core, Hollow is a technically impressive game built on generally good gameplay. As a port to Switch, this game is unfortunately an abysmal mess.

Balan Wonderworld will leave you with a sense of wonder. A nagging sort of wonder. The kind of wonder that makes you wonder. Wonder how a game could so masterfully miss literally every opportunity to treat its players with a modicum of respect. Wonder how a very well known publisher could stomach having it in their library. Wonder what in the world happened with the Switch version. Wonder where your $60 went.

Due to the shoddy, strategically lacking gameplay and the absurd, nonsensical plot and concept, Beyblade on DS should be ignored by everyone except for die-hard fans, if they even exist.

Psyscrolr is a poorly-designed game that you should not play.

Red Colony very much feels like a first draft of a game, from graphics, to script, to programming, that was somehow released on the eShop as a finished product. This would be like buying a puzzle, finishing the border, and declaring it completed. Frankly, I’m not sure how anybody could look at this game and think it was ready for prime time. If the bugs weren’t there, it might get by on its “so bad it’s good” appeal, but in its current state, it’s a disaster. Homie Rollerz, you finally have some competition.

WWE 2K18 is just painful to play. Almost everything about the port is poorly implemented, causing me to just feel utter sadness.

The game tries to be a tamer Outlaw Golf, but its attempts at humor are utter failures. If a game is trying to sell itself as being crazy, wacky, or some other adjective in the vein of kooky, at the very least I should crack a smile at some point after playing it for ten plus hours.

No matter how low this game gets on the eShop or in stores, it's not worth the time or effort to play it.

The concept of JCB Pioneer: Mars, in isolation, is potentially interesting. The Switch version, however, presents so many obstacles to gameplay that I feel comfortable calling it unplayable. The release of games like this and ARK: Survival Evolved draw into question the existence of Nintendo’s quality control. Products like this are an embarrassment to Nintendo’s digital offerings.

Probably one of the worst DS games I have ever played. With mini-games that border on unplayable and little-to-no variation in gameplay, there is truly no fun in this game.

This is not a good game by any stretch, and I should probably mention again that it's a Transformers game that has undercut the core mechanic of the entire franchise: transforming.

Clash of Elementalists may look like an interesting title, but its high difficulty and learning curve make its relatively meager offerings even less appealing. This is not a game worth spending hours becoming proficient at.

Do yourself a favor and hunt down the GBA game if you have an Astro Boy craving. Just ignore this pile, which is 100 percent pure, uncut shovelware.

As with most JPRGs, a lot of progression options are present, related to special powers and weapon upgrades. Since they don’t make the combat any easier to digest, it doesn’t feel relevant to get too detailed about them. Not mentioning that you manually have to click through endless English dialogue while listening to Japanese voice acting doesn’t really change the fact that Fantasy Hero ~Unsigned Legacy~ is a title that can and should be ignored.

You are better off finding the Angry Birds Trilogy somewhere on the cheap!

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know is the worst kind of licensed game.

A complete bore of a videogame. It's one of the most repetitive games ever designed, not to mention it has a horrible concept.

This game may entertain your kid for about ten minutes, but the slow pace and lack of any real reward system means that Little Billy will put it down and be off chasing a butterfly before you know it.

This is one title that should be skipped regardless if you are a fan of the franchise or not.

This DS game is pretty good, but doesn't really hit as hard as it could have. With average graphics and music accompanied with the average gameplay, nothing about the game really stands out... except for Wolverine. He's a cool guy.

Overall, the Wii has much better multiplayer based mini-game collection titles, and you can find better gambling simulators online. Vegas Party fails at both, with gameplay that lacks coherence and proper explanations combined with simplified versions of the games that don't allow the player to play them with real rules.

An insult to gamers and anime fans alike. With its charismatic cast and open-ended, special-agent plot device, Yu Yu Hakusho is a prime franchise for videogames, but judging from this rush job, the developer and publisher don’t seem to recognize this.

I might even consider it the worst Sonic game I have ever played.

Superola and the Lost Burgers is disappointing. It has and initial appeal based on its inspiration but fails in the execution. I would run away from this game as fast as you can.

One or two interesting ideas show up in ESPN Sports Connection. Sadly, these ideas do not make up for the rest of the game's shortcomings. Between terrible controls, iffy graphics, and lack of any coherency, I cannot recommend this to anyone to play. This is one of the worst Wii U launch titles and should be avoided like a baseball to the face.

I feel compelled to put the game down and not play video games anymore. If this were the first game I had ever played, I would never play video games again.

The biggest problem with this is the controls.

Is a Switch game that can realistically only be played in docked mode actually playable? The entire point of this system is to be able to take your games with you, but ARK can’t really offer that. It draws into question the sanctity of the Nintendo seal of quality. The fact that it is not only available to the public, but costs money is an insult. Don’t buy ARK on Switch.

The game has sound ideas, but doesn't know how to back it up with a desirable journey.

Tiny Racer offers nothing that you haven’t seen before or does anything special that requires you to play it. It feels like a game that was created in about a week without any attention to details or a specific goal in mind aside from ‘let’s make the cars tiny’. Honestly, it even failed in that regard. It’s been said that Nintendo allows practically anything on the Switch eShop nowadays and Tiny Racer has strengthened that belief for me.

The game’s presentation is nothing less than excellent, and its graphics and sound are great too. On the other hand, the control and camera are awful, and the gameplay often fails to deliver on its lofty intentions.

Chatting with Ping Pals is completely functional, but manually typing text gets annoying quickly, and the more intuitive and fun drawing feature is simply inferior to "PictoChat."

I had initially hoped ThunderCats was going to be one of my last great outings on the DS. Instead I got a game which was far more aggravating than enjoyable. The semi-enjoyable strategy elements needed for boss battles could not make up for the unpolished gameplay and confusing plot. Even though ThunderCats seems to have been a long time coming, the final project wasn't quite worth it.

Mad Dog McCree on 3DS might be worth it for folks who want to play the famously awful FMV game and have no other way to do so. But the vast majority of players are better off either ignoring this silly game or tracking it down on a system where light gun games are more fun to play.

It takes a significant amount of re-tries to make it out of last place during any given race. And even then, some courses seemingly cannot be won.

It is appropriate for me to be blunt, and I am no less blunt than a mace strapped to an opening car door to the face when I say that Charlie’s Angels is the worst game I have ever played. Not just the worst game on the GameCube... the worst I have ever played. EVER.

Bounty Battle is a disappointment from start to finish. It completely squanders a sincerely impressive character roster with a mixture of convoluted gameplay and poor technical performance. If you're looking for indie Smash Bros., you're better off grabbing the Undertale and Cuphead costumes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and making the Shovel Knight Assist Trophy the only item.

It’s been awhile since I reviewed something so awful. Don’t play this or buy it for your kids. The only outcome will be sadness.

Vroom in the Night Sky is the epitome of a rushed launch title, a game that offers so little content that after just a few minutes you’ll have seen just about everything it has to offer. If you’re willing to take the time, you can dive into the game, but it comes at the cost of grinding the same few levels to unlock bikes with better stats that simply serve to make the boring stages end even quicker. If it isn’t abundantly clear yet, this is a game that every Switch owner should pass on.

It is a boring, unpolished piece of software that does nothing to thrill the player.

Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade is a mess. It makes a promise it can't keep, assaults your ears with annoying voice acting, and sucks all the fun out of owning a Wii U. It is the coal under the tree that is Wii U.

I imagine this is how an English teacher feels when he or she gets a paper that consists of one well-written sentence and nothing else. In conclusion, just watch the TV show.

The game won me over when I started picturing one of my 10-year old cousins playing Strawberry Shortcake on her DS. In my daydream she looked like she was having fun.

While some mini-games are shallow and repetitive, and it doesn't take very long to see all the game has to offer, the effort that went into the game's production is evident.

It's a light but undeniably cute virtual pet game, and it's also a little bit of an educational opportunity. Oh, and there are pandas.

Konami had a very strong franchise from which to derive good ideas, but they instead decided to stick too closely to the basics and release a game that very few fans of Winx Club or newcomers will find enjoyable.

Titles such as Sally’s Salon have been around for years now, and while many have migrated over to the DS, few have achieved this level of excellence. Great gameplay combined with seamless controls allows for a wonderfully fun experience.

If you are a huge fan of AC/DC, don't mind live versions of their songs (all performed by Brian Johnson), and are fine with swapping out your Rock Band 1 or 2 disc, AC/DC Live is a worthy addition to your game collection. Players with only a passing interest in the band will likely want to skip the track pack as due to the extremely simple note charts, limited song variety, and difficult vocals.

Jake Power: Fireman/Policeman isn't bad for young kids, as it certainly appeals to their tastes; however, the game's length makes it a rental at best.

Even when it borrows ideas from Wii Fit, it does enough on its own to make it a compelling package that complements Wii Fit very well. If you’ve played Wii Fit a lot and want to discover something different, Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout is definitely worth a look.

Go Play Circus Star does an admirable job of preserving the fun and excitement of the circus through fun mini-games, and solid Wii Remote and Balance Board controls. However, everything is ruined by the poor decision to force the player to earn the mini-games through forced replay, and an off-putting art style and glitches.

The biggest problem of Go Play Lumberjacks is its crippling lack of gameplay variety.

Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock is a no-brainer for fans looking to cheaply expand their song list and only have the first Rock Band at their disposal. Owners of Rock Band 2 are better off picking their favorite tracks from the pack and buying them individually through the online store.

Still, the title does what it does with efficient appeal and a light-hearted sensibility. Anyone looking for a game with some doll-like aspects, or a doll with some engaging mini-games, is sure to find those qualities in Lovely Lisa.

With Junior Classic Games, you are merely presented with icons that don't even describe what the game might be. How is anyone supposed to understand that the "count the dots" game is the giraffe icon? Its presentation flaws like this that make Junior Classic Games fall far short in a crowded genre.

Rock Band Country Track Pack is a no-brainer for owners of the first Rock Band who love country music, and are looking to cheaply expand their song list.

The game has virtually limitless replayability thanks to the free paint mode, which is accessible right from the start of the game. All in all, this is an excellent piece of software.

I've certainly played better shooters, and the mere addition of dinosaurs doesn't amount to much when the vast majority of your opponents are raptors.

If you look at Carnival King as a title that is meant to be a throwback to both classic carnival games and arcade titles, there is a lot to like about it. Just realize that it won't last you very long, unless you are the kind that needs to convince the world that you are the best at this kind of game.

Kamen Rider is an excellent solo fighter. While it lacks a multiplayer component, it's technically impressive and full of content. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is a serviceable Wii fighter that provides fun for those seeking a simpler fighting game. It is polished enough to please most Kamen Rider fans, even if it is only over the course of a rental.

Hubert the Teddy Bear: Winter Games is not a worthwhile investment. The game feels very rushed and repetitive, and it would’ve been nice to see Teyon spice up the game a little.

Overall, Grill-Off with Ultrahand is merely a novelty that should provide brief moments of fun. But at a mere 80 Club Nintendo coins, it is an enjoyable piece of Nintendo memorabilia that old school Nintendo fans should appreciate.

30 different variations on the activity will keep gamers occupied for quite some time and the addition of peg solitaire is just icing on the cake. In short, this is the definite handheld version of solitaire.
