A tough sell at $39.99. At that price, we expected more depth to the experience, plus additional modes. And yet, we can't help but smile as a large and horned monstrosity squashes several goblins flat, only to get decapitated moments later, its head sailing through the air, leaving a bloody trail in its wake.- Modojo

Complaints notwithstanding, Guitar Hero: On Tour is a successful first experiment that delivers a slice of the console experience on the go, and Activision and Vicarious Visions deserve props for making such a cool portable music game.- Modojo

Had developer Griptonite expanded the scope of the city and cleaned up the guard A.I., Bloodlines would've been on the same level as previous Assassin's Creed games. As it stands, it's merely a side chapter instead of a main attraction.- Modojo

The controls are spot on. We had no trouble navigating each 2D environment with the d-pad while dashing through tough areas and jumping up walls; we died more times than we care to admit.- Modojo

It's an enjoyable game that I'm glad that I own, but it didn't impress me enough that I felt the need to gush all over it. But kudos to Game Freak for coming up with something fresh in the platform genre, as simply conking bad guys on the head was getting tired.- Modojo

Namco definitely had some great ideas and managed to capitalize on several of them, but the lame story coupled with the troublesome burst move somewhat mars the overall experience.- Modojo

The biggest knock against this game, though, is longevity. With mini games lasting mere seconds, it doesn't take long to see everything Mario & Sonic has to offer. At the end of the day, you can only play Beach Volleyball for so long.- Modojo

Camp Pokemon is best suited to newcomers to the world of Pokemon or younger players, though the minigames themselves aren't bad for an hour or so of entertainment as they are.- Modojo

By all means take it for a spin if you enjoy the hypnotic tinkles of the jackpot experience, but we could never recommend giving real money to this or any other casino game.- Modojo

The hits feel weighty, the career mode is filling, and the other goodies mix up the formula well. I played it so much I actually developed a callus on my left thumb from the analogue nub, which says a lot about how fun and addictive the experience can be. The controls are very close to being a dealbreaker, however.- Modojo

Whether the exact implementation of Real Racing 3's show-stopping freemium model is a question of greed or inexperience, we can't know - but we want to believe the latter. We also want to believe that between now and the game's global release on February 28th, greater consideration will be given to the long-term supporters of the series, and that a timer-free premium edition of the game will be released alongside this current incarnation. If that happens, we'll revisit our opinion of Real Racing 3 - and give it the accolades it would otherwise unquestionably deserve.- Modojo

Rest assured that if you absolutely adore this series, Katamari Amore delivers more of the same. Whether or not that's good enough, though, is entirely up to you.- Modojo

Its new strategic elements and slightly cleaned up issues make it worth at least a look to the curious or the hack-n-slash fans. But those looking for a fully invested turn into the action scene may be a bit disappointed by the shortcomings at hand here, especially in the multiplayer.- Modojo

That said, two things mar the experience. First, there's a considerable lack of depth with so few areas to explore. Second, unless you feel charitable, it will take a lot of grinding to unlock everything, so expect to visit the U.S. and South America (and stare at the same scenery) quite a few times. Of course, Killer Snake is free, so what did you expect? Will you play it months from now? Probably not, but it's the sort of guilty pleasure that'll entertain you a few minutes each day.- Modojo

A solid portable shooter crippled by rapidly aging hardware. It's tough going from even an iPad shooter like Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation to this. Of course, if all you own is a DS, it's one of the better first person titles for the system, but that's not saying much.- Modojo

No, truth be told, this is far from the quintessential handheld MK experience. Mortal Kombat Unchained did more for the PSP and it's available at $20 less than this release over at EB Games.- Modojo

For its attention to detail, nostalgia and unashamedly daft story, Metal Gun delivers. It's a shame that it's let down in the final analysis by a rather frustrating joystick, but we still had fun with it.- Modojo

So it has it frustrations, the premium purchases are certainly optimistic, and it's a very simple game when all's said and done. But that's not to say the free version of Bike Racing Plus isn't without its charms and high notes - at least for those first twenty or so levels.- Modojo

A solid on-the-go effort, one that pays tribute to the TurboGrafx-16 games while delivering 40 plus missions of strategic touch-screen bliss. Still, this Madness needs the option to challenge a friend or see the entire map at once. That said, an update is in order.- Modojo

As a member of the farming-sim cash-grab genre, it's no more or less offensive than any other of its kind. It's also a pretty and well-executed game, with an equally likeable soundtrack and plenty of good humor.- Modojo

Unfortunately, there's only one mode, making Fruit Ninja a one-trick pony. But considering the price of the game and those advanced online features, we'll let it slide. Clearly, the best type of app is the one you can't resist playing and/or can easily play any time, and that being said, this game is worth every penny.- Modojo

The simple downfall of Meteos: Disney Magic is that it's no longer about puzzle solving. The action is fast-paced and entertaining, but lacks the addictive quality that makes the original something still worth owning.- Modojo

Essentially a collection of the same old stuff we've been playing on the PS2 for the last few years, Blazin' Trails fails to tantalize the senses but rather frays the nerves with a sloppy frame rate and awkward controls.- Modojo

We enjoy pulling it out for a quick match of survival, but there's simply not enough meat on this title's bones to warrant long-term appeal, and there doesn't appear to be a thriving community willing to hop online for two-person co-op, but as far as intense iPhone and iPad games go, it's right up there.- Modojo
