Although it's a bit repetitive when it comes to unlocking new stuff, Strike Wing: Raptor Rising is a fun ride for fans of space-shooters - particularly those who are looking to save a buck or too.

Despite the cartoon styling of both the game's environment and objects, not to mention the target of your sadistic aspirations himself, this certainly won't be a game to everyone's taste - and it's also one that parents will want to think twice about before handing over to their children. For fans of the series though, it's very much more of what they love about the games, and for those players that will probably be more than enough.

In the end, Hot Brain doesn't do enough to change your life, but it's a quirky little addition to the brain-training scene that deserves a look out of sheer boredom.

ModNation Racers on the PSP doesn't compare to the PS3 version, but it's a capable kart racer with hours' worth of content to wade through and online options.

This is pretty primitive gaming at heart, and it'll be the lure of unlocking familiar characters that keeps you coming back for more, rather than the thrill of the actual fight. It's a fun diversion for the kids though, and packs in more fun than the franchise has typically managed in previous game releases.

Sigma Star Saga won't be a winner with everyone because of its flaws and the lackluster RPG/shooting elements. However, if you stick with it you'll find a moving adventure with more spark than you might expect.

Had XMG made the first level a bit easier, Inspector Gadget's MAD Dash could've been one of the iPhone's best games, but it's much too difficult. Then again, we downloaded it free of charge, so if you grew up watching the carton, there's still a lot to love at that price.

Hot Pixel does what it set out to do, clone Wario Ware without actually becoming Wario Ware, and it surprisingly succeeds, even if it's just a modest victory.

A casual App with a lot of depth, depending on how serious you get into it. It's also the type of game that could entertain you for several weeks. Both user friendly and cool, we strongly recommend that you download it, especially because it's free.

If you have fond memories of it or you are an RPG fanatic, definitely check out this game.

For Call of Mini: Zombies 2, the more things change, the more they stay the same. There's some good action here for those who enjoyed the original, but hardly enough changes to signify forward progress.

There's definitely a good amount of variety here, from time trials to drift runs, but we've seen it all before. EA took the previous Shift, copied most of the content and produced a cookie cutter sequel. Solid overall, but you'd be wise to look elsewhere for your racing fix.

Fans of either genre will certainly enjoy their time with this new hybrid title, but neither camp is likely to be entirely satisfied.

If you loved the first Monster Hunter Freedom game or its PS2 counterpart, you're going to love this.

Had Striker Soccer 2 charged a flat fee instead of going down the freemium route - and done away with a handful of problems at the same time - it would've been an unbeatable champion. As it stands, it's still worth a look, but don't be surprised if you return to FIFA pretty quickly afterwards.

After all of the hype about the story, the Death Jr. comic book, and the upcoming film, one would think that the actual game would include a kick @$$ story, but that's just not the case.

If the only system you own is the Sony PSP and you need an X-Men fix, you could do a lot worse than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Rent it first, bub.

Although Monster Mouth DDS could use more content, it's still a well-designed title and a fun way to pass the time, especially for kids.

Marvel Run Jump Smash! is a pretty good running action game, and has plenty to offer to comic book fans. Unfortunately, it can't overcome the villainy of a rather unfair freemium model. It's worth a try, at the very least.

The real kicker, though, is the lack of wireless multiplayer. You Don't Know Jack, at least for now, is a solo affair, while the recently released console versions support up to four players simultaneously.

Sega really stumbled into a brick wall with this game and it'll always be one of those titles that, when I look back on it, will be remembered as a missed opportunity to create something truly special.

It certainly has its faults, but if you crave some monkey action on the go, it more than satisfies your primal hunger.

I cannot fault this collection for having some games I could find boring. But I don't mind giving an average score to a collection which aimed only for the bare-bones of success.

Silent Ops is a good, though unremarkable third person shooter that lacks the extra level of polish to put it over the top.
