While not as in-depth as the duo's platforming adventures, Ratchet and Clank: Before the Nexus is an enjoyable endless runner with fun visuals and plenty of stuff to collect. It only makes you wonder if Sony might consider doing the same for other franchises - Sly Cooper, perhaps?- Modojo

Angry Birds Stella is a good title with solid gameplay and quality cartoon visuals. The problem is that the game is one in a long line of similar entries, and people have come to expect a lot out from the franchise. On its own, Stella is definitely a great pick up, but if you are getting sick of Angry Birds it won't do much to get you back into the series.- Modojo

Dumb Ways to Die was clearly designed with casual players in mind, as it only takes a minute or so to croak (maybe less), depending how good you are. It's addictive, no question, but there's a considerable lack of games.- Modojo

It's a technically solid, enjoyable title and includes enough new features (just) to make it a worthy addition to your device. With that said, if you possess even a smudge of cynicism, then the immediate influence of Tiny Wings on Sugar High can only take a little of the shine off Biscuit's adventures.- Modojo

Expansion missions are ubiquitous to the genre and so it's no surprise to see them make an appearance here: grow so many berries, buy another farm, clear out some swampland for further territorial growth etc etc. As I say, these sorts of tasks aren't exactly unique to Monster Story, but it certainly enforces the sense of deja vu.- Modojo

Ridge Racer Slipstream is flat in a few areas, particularly with the strenuous earning system and the lack of online multiplayer. However, if you're a fan of the series or looking for an ideal racer for the holidays, this one will rev your engine.- Modojo

Thankfully, the game runs decently enough most of the time, and that being the case, Sushi Mushi is one of the surprise gems of the App Store, an attention-grabbing match-three puzzler that'll provide hours of enjoyment, while making users the slightest bit hungry in the process. Recommended.- Modojo

So is Unstoppable Fist worth a purchase? Yes, especially if you're a fan of those brawlers from back in the day. The game's enemies are a bit cheap (we would nix two-hit baddies altogether), but you'll make serious headway on Easy and Medium. On top of that, the outstanding presentation (the soundtrack is free, by the way) makes spending that $0.99 a smart decision.- Modojo

Monster Quest isn't a revolution in the genre, leaning as heavily as it does on elements of other successful games. What GREE has managed to achieve however is to blend those elements together in such a way that the end result is a deeper experience.- Modojo

Overall, we like Tiny Plane, as it provides that all-important "just one more try" element that helps make it addictive. Unfortunately, we struggled getting online multiplayer to work.- Modojo

It's all about traveling from one side of the stage to the other, slashing bad guys, avoiding hazards and gathering collectibles, which you then give to the blacksmith to create different swords that as far as we can tell are just for show.- Modojo

All that's required though is a little willingness to teach yourself, along with the patience to dig deeper into the game's surprising charms. Puzzle Restorer won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you're ready for a stiff challenge this is one puzzle game you won't want to miss out on.- Modojo

Personally, we think it's a good management sim that's worth pouring at least $6 into. That'll give you a solid foundation with a fast track to scoring resources at a fairly consistent clip; it also helps if you're a Jurassic Park and/or dinosaur fan. However, if the mere thought of in-app purchases makes you cringe, this simply isn't the game for you.- Modojo

As with most newly released games, there's room for improvement, and with more content on its way, we can only hope Scopely tweaks the experience. For now, Mini Gold MatchUp is an addictive effort you don't want to miss, especially if you love the sport, to which we have to ask, who hates miniature golf?- Modojo

Tap Sports Baseball is a fun game for casual and hardcore fans of the sport. The game is very simple to play and has great stat tracking. Unfortunately, the lack of pitching holds the game back from being great.- Modojo

NBA 2K13 may be a sloppy mess at times, but it's still one of the more enjoyable basketball games for smartphones and tablets, one that'll presumably get better well into the season as 2K Sports tinkers behind the scenes, as it should.- Modojo

Robocop is hardly the best representation of the cybernetic officer we've seen - the classic Data East arcade game still can't be beat - but Glu Games did better than expected with the movie adaptation, providing plenty of shooting frills and good-looking graphics. When it comes to shoot-em-up goodness, we'd buy that for a dollar.- Modojo

The fact that you'll often see the worm a section or two above the character adds to the adrenaline rush you'll experience, and the constant need to stuff your pockets with Grubies adds a welcome mini-game of sorts, but despite all of that, you'll probably curse the controls at some point. Heck, we'd even take an old-school NES controller. Instead, we'll just have to settle for Worm Run being flawed, but good.- Modojo

In other words, there's just enough that's good about Gold Diggers to overcome its occasional frustrations. It won't revolutionize the genre, but if you can overcome a few control niggles, there's a decent game to be enjoyed here that packs in all the gameplay staples we've come to expect from the genre.- Modojo

It's not often you see a serviceable third-person shooter for mobile, especially one suited for all ages. That said, DuckTales: Scrooge's Loot is worth diving into - even if you don't have your own custom money bin.- Modojo

Another solid retro homage, made even more appealing by the fact that it's free. That said, the high level of frustration makes it a bit too polarizing. You'll either relish the challenge, or delete the game out of anger.- Modojo

There's little about Virtua Tennis 4 that'll surprise longtime fans, making this entry feel like more of the same. Yes, it comes with Vita exclusive bonuses, but you'll quickly grow tired of them and fall back on intense volleys and furious cross court smashes. To that end, World Tour Edition falls short of an ace, but still manages to hold serve.- Modojo

Drift Mania Street Outlaws may not possess the same technical flair of the Real Racing series, or the polished arcade thrills of Asphalt 8, but it's a very welcome addition to the racing genre nevertheless. WWE Immortals is an intriguing concept that WWE fans will appreciate. The problem is that this free-to-play game quickly grows repetitive, and in-game currency prevents you from obtaining your favorite superstars without opening your wallet.- Modojo
