MapleStory Live isn't shy about presenting its pay-wall to you, and from the moment you start the free version the game is all about what you CAN'T enjoy.

Run Fatty Run is a fun distraction and a somewhat decent motivator for people with a few pounds to lose, but it does little to advance the running sub genre, or hang with the best players in the game, for that matter. Still, it's a huge guy running from a tiger. Make of that what you will.

Adrenaline Rush: Miami Drive gets off to a decent start, but after a while you are just spinning the tires. Quite frankly, there are better endless runner games available.

Final Fight One's AI is cheaper than a bottle of discount wine.

Call of Duty: Roads to Victory isn't quite perfect --not even close, in fact. However, considering that the last entry of the series in a handheld form couldn't even hold someone's sweaty jockstrap in a locker room, it's progress.

Shooting Showdown 2 has a very solid system in place. The gyroscope controls work well, but it can be very repetitive at times. It helps if you play with friends, but the game still becomes dull after a few play throughs.

Naruto: Path of the Ninja doesn't go out of its way to offend anybody. It's thoroughly playable from beginning to end without any major problems, but the little things along the way tend to stick in your craw.

To be fair, Monsters University: Catch Archie is more of a demo than full game. Considering Disney's impressive track record with iOS and Android, though, it falls a bit short.

So while we expect the Presidential race to get especially nasty in the months ahead, some lighthearted fun is just what both sides need.

It's a sharp looking 2D brawler with loose ties to the upcoming film, but repetitive combat and a lack of depth keep it from greatness.

In the end, this serving of Diner Dash is decent, but not nearly as good as the others. Sped-up gameplay and Happy Hour are welcome, but neither prevent the game from growing repetitive. The lack of customization and crashes don't help either. That said, the fact that it's free-to-play makes the game worth a look.

The game can be fun and rewarding and does a pretty decent job at not massacring a movie franchise, but can grow tiresome rather fast if the fighting bores you.

Sure, Madden NFL 09 plays good (that's expected), but it feels too similar to Madden games of old and like a $39.99 roster update.

But the adventure ends sooner than later, something that could've easily been remedied had this game not been rushed out the door.

Children of Mana tops out Lunar: Dragon Song, Deep Labyrinth, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but it doesn't take too much effort to be the champion of "Just OK."

As it stands, Tecmo Bowl Kick Off doesn't have enough features to propel it to must buy status. It's a neat throwback, but its dated visuals, lack of options and ridiculous team names make it a rental at best.

It's a shame, because aside from Pocket Gems' money grubbing, Paradise Cove: Holiday Adventure is decent enough.

God of Light doesn't shine bright enough to break away from other established puzzle games. The game has an interesting concept, but its imprecise controls and lack of challenging puzzles hold it back from being great.

If you're looking for a quick and fun Spider-Man adventure, Web of Shadows will entertain you. If you want something a little deeper with more bang for its buck, however, you might want to seek out something else.

There's a great chance you'll run into the usual in-app purchase wall that ultimately mars free-to-play video games, but for the most part (and given what it is), Dark Avenger is a decent though unremarkable iPhone and iPad effort that'll give you something else to play in between releases. With this title, the less you expect, the more it entertains.

Big Hero 6: Bot Fight isn't the most original match-3 puzzler on the block, but for a licensed title and simple match game it's pretty fun, acting as at the very least a substitute for when you're waiting for energy to drop on its bigger brothers.

If Disney ever decides to create a more full-featured effort, it has a decent foundation with which to build.

The game is worth a try if you enjoy shooter games, but for most people it can be passed over.

If you grew tired of this type of game, there's little about Samurai Warriors: Chronicles that'll pull you back into the series. At the same time, it's still an impressive and surprisingly enjoyable title that showcases the 3DS' graphical capabilities.

Destructopus! offers a few hours of anarchy, and the old school graphics definitely give it that Rampage vibe. Rise from the depths and cause a little mayhem.

If you're looking for a somewhat fun action, you could do worse than C.O.P the Recruit. The shooting controls needed work, and it would've been nice to have a multiplayer mode, but this is one police story worth listening to.

There are plenty of better free-to-play titles out there with fewer frustrations, so opt for one of those if you're looking for a good puzzler.

Ultimately, Gameloft chose to make Dungeon Hunter 3 more casual friendly while experimenting with in-app purchases. Probably not the greatest decision, given the largely negative reaction from the iOS community, but as a hack and slash title, it's worth a try.
