The game is so inventive and absorbing that it might just justify that GB Micro purchase-- unless you get the Famicom version, because that really justifies itself, doesn't it?
-
Screw Breaker, simply put, is a fantastic game. It's the kind of creativity that can only escape from Japan, and yet with such a quirky design, it's surprisingly easy to pick up and play.
-
Drill Dozer is every bit as good as any current-gen portable title you care to name and succinctly encapsulates why the 2D platformer was so popular to begin with.
-
An incredibly solid platformer that'll probably go unnoticed and can quite possibly be a favorite when it comes to mentioning the year's most underrated titles.
-
I'd love to see more platformers come out of their zany brains in the near future.
-
Game InformerThe hyper frantic soundtrack that sounds like it was written by drug-induced chipmunks I could do without, but the rest of the package is solid fun. [Feb 2006, p.113]
-
It's an enjoyable game that I'm glad that I own, but it didn't impress me enough that I felt the need to gush all over it. But kudos to Game Freak for coming up with something fresh in the platform genre, as simply conking bad guys on the head was getting tired.
