Successfully applying the lessons learned during the launch and development phases of Returnal, Housemarque has delivered an exceptional title with Saros. Thanks to improvements made in both storytelling and gameplay, Saros is a truly polished and complete experience. It is a game that can be challenging enough at times to overwhelm the player, yet—through optional settings—can also be made accessible enough to allow players to follow the story and enjoy the gameplay at their own pace. With its entertaining action, rewarding gameplay, and magnificent atmosphere, an intriguing adventure awaits you in Carcosa. Join the ranks to salute the sun with Saros—a superb exclusive title that helps fill the PlayStation 5’s software library.

If you haven't played the recent WWE 2K titles in a long time, or if you are returning to the series this year, WWE 2K26 still has plenty to offer you. However, if you played last year's installment extensively, many of this year's changes might leave you asking: "Well, is it really worth buying a whole new game for this?" In my opinion, WWE 2K26 isn't a bad game; yet, when I look at the series' upward trajectory in recent years, this is the first entry that has made me say—with such clarity—that "they really need to be careful from here on out."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is actually a surprisingly fun game, but it doesn't truly live up to the spirit of Call of Duty. They're particularly disrespectful of the story modes that have shaped the series in recent years. They're stuffing all the zombie and multiplayer-based modes into the main story. Under normal circumstances, Raul Menendez would have been a better fit with AI. We could have seen more compelling action in 2035, and with the new characters introduced by David Mason and Mike Harper, we could have had a truly fantastic experience. So what have they done? They've gone out of their way to use the same maps, use certain characters, turn them into monsters, and make them play everything but Call of Duty. Respect your past games, and the story mode that brought you to this level. While it's not as terrible as Modern Warfare III, it has a terrible story mode.

Battlefield 6 pairs a brisk ~6-hour, vignette-style campaign with a multiplayer core that rewards coordination over heroics. Classic classes return; destruction hits hard. Weak AI, tight vehicle ammo, and a steep skill curve can frustrate, but with a disciplined squad, the chaos truly shines.

With Ghost of Yotei, Sucker Punch further emphasizes the strengths of its predecessor and delivers a fantastic game with brand new additions. We explore Ezo and engage in fantastic boss battles with new weapons and abilities. In some places, the game even manages to capture a sense of dread. Considering the good performance and excellent graphics, the lack of repetitive open-world events and some minor flaws are easy to overlook. While the game currently promises countless hours (45 hours for me) with its single-player story and world, it also promises much more with its multiplayer mode, slated for release in 2026.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree was a game that surprised me. It offers some nice new features for players who enjoy roguelites and complain about how similar every game they play is. It's one of the best games, especially on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, while playing, you'll constantly encounter things that make you wonder, "What if it were like this?" The game has the potential to improve with updates and improvements after its release. However, its biggest problem right now is that it's released in the same month as Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades 2. With so many compelling games out there, I think there are plenty of players who can easily switch to Towa's underdeveloped system.

NBA 2K26 was a welcome relief after the game I played last year, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's difficult to ignore the constant intrusion of microtransactions, which have been unavoidable for years, especially in a game sold at such a high price. However, the game has improved and improved in many areas. The visuals are impressive, the gameplay is smoother, shooting is improved, MyCareer mode is good, MyTeam is richer and more accessible with the WNBA, and The City is more compact and engaging. It's not a perfect basketball game, but it's easily the best one released in recent years.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven's Nintendo Switch 2 version is a must-try for JRPG enthusiasts, offering a story focused on the entire world rather than just one character. Its entertaining, if slightly grinding, gameplay, and its sheer volume of content make it difficult to fully grasp in one playthrough. Nintendo Switch buyers can get the update for $10, but previous players don't get much else besides a performance update. The Switch 2 version, however, is priced the same as the Switch version, at $50. It makes you wonder if they really needed to go to all that trouble just to make it impossible to play on both consoles.

The PlayStation 5 version of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced Edition looks fantastic and is the console version that offers the best performance for first-time users. The game itself fell short of my expectations in terms of gameplay, and I have to reiterate that, but they've added everything I wanted from an Enhanced Edition. Since we weren't expecting a remake of the game here, I wasn't disappointed at all. Priced at 1800 TL on the PlayStation Store, if you haven't played the game before or want to revisit it with the best console version, don't miss it. If I didn't know Ninja Theory makes such good action games, I'd pass on the "they can do this much," but I'm baffled by how the combat, which is excellent up to a point, becomes repetitive, undermining its replayability.
