Pro Evolution needs something new, but still it's impossible not to fall under its unique football spirit.

The Sims 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3 not only has the spirit of the original one from PC, but offers the same gameplay and options. Ready at Dawn did its best to fulfill the hopes of the entire fanbase of the franchise, and they're successful in doing it. One of those games that you better go and buy without any further hesitation.

Fable III is a polished take of everything that has worked in the series, adding extra values with some really good ideas around the interface and visual presentation. But the core idea and mechanics remain too close to those of Fable II, and the larger concepts that should have taken the series to greater heights fall a bit short in the end.

Super Meat Boy is simply one of the best games of the year, and we are not only talking about downloadable stuff. A brilliant return to the old-school mechanics.

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is the new bet of Capcom in the beat 'em up gender. Its greatest virtues are a great spectacle in the combat mechanics and a correct technical section. However, a rather unfortunate IA, some camera problems and lack of online modes just weighing on the experience.

Trackmania Wii is a decent conversion of the best track editor ever. Creating and sharing you own tracks with you friends throught Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is just great and the single player mode offers lots of different challenges. It's an odd thing that the editor is not properly adapted to the Wii controller and there are too many loose ends. Anyway, one of the best racing games you can buy for your Wii.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is a great follow-up. It's overall the same game, but with new and more characters than the first game, a new online mode, and even more fun and spectacular than the previous game. CyberConnect2 did a great job recreating the Shippuden anime series on this videogame.

Medal of Honor is just a copy & paste from Infinity Ward's series, both in experience and situations; maybe it's a bit more realistic, but it isn't fun like Infinity's games. You feel like you're playing the same game, and it's not a good thing. The best: the multiplayer mode, which takes the best features from Bad Company and mixes them up with those ideas that made Modern Warfare the best online game out there.

Dead Rising 2 is quite similar to the first game, but the formula still works. A fun, huge, entertaining and compelling game, with many things to do and much to discover. Unfortunately, it lacks the depth of the original one in terms of story, and it doesn't feel as fresh as the first time.

Sonic is back, and it feels like 1991's Sonic The Hedgehog. SEGA and Dimps worked together to bring back the best platforming game of the golden era of the character. Impossible jumps, terminal velocities, and a blue shadow that spins and rotates while collecting rings and freeing the animals of the forest held by Dr. Eggman.

Layton and the Unwound Future is the best title of the franchise so far, packed with new puzzles and an intriguing new story that will take both characters -Layton and Luke- to a new but-not-better future.

Cities XL 2011 is a complete city-building simulator, but it lacks of many basic features to become a really nice game. More realistic than deep, the game will give many hours of fun to urban management fans but those who enjoyed similar games in the past may not be attracted by this new offer. Arcania: Gothic 4 is a polished action adventure, well produced, visually attractive and very solid at the technical side. However, on its way it has lost many of the aspects that defined the series, with the purpose to embrace a new public and make the game more open to everyone. But for the seasoned RPG player, the new idea around Pinata.

Obsidian had a difficult task with New Vegas, a "sequel" of Fallout 3 where they could not offer anything radically new in terms of engine or game systems. But just as expected, the superlative talent of the studio for narrative and dialogue has been more than enough to keep the interest in this game. More of the same, yes, but better and closer to the spirit of the original series, just don't expect it to be immediately noticeable.

Platinum Games' last tittle proves the wait was worth it. Directed by Shinji Mikami, it delivers non-stop fast-paced action, breathless battles that boosts the adrenaline to the highest levels.

A Twist of Fate is an ode to classic point'n'click games. An interesting game, with great visuals, that delivers many hours of fun. Highly recommended for hardcore point'n'click gamers, and one of the best works from Pendulo Studios yet.

It's not the best action-RPG out there, but it's fun and enjoyable. It lacks depth and customization, and it has enough bugs to spoil the fun, but overall it's an interesting experience. Recommended especially for newcomers to the genre.

V8 Superstars Racing is a game with several flaws in every aspect. Visually it's an average game, without many interesting features. Its gameplay is strange, illogical when it comes to driving and with a physics engine that is not fair with players. It's a game to forget.

PES 2011 has, once again, good and bad things; overall, the game has the same problems as these past few years. There are improvements in the manager aspect of the game, as well as new licenses and a Master League online; but while the football is not pure football, all of the new features are meaningless.

Invizimals is an original proposal that tries to become in the Pokémon of the 21st century. The PSP camera is the key to enter in a new world where reality and fiction are mixed. Amazing and filled with original ideas, Invizimals is a irresistible game for youngest.

It's a good bonus chapter, as it has all the best features from both the original game and The Signal. But it fails to amaze as the previous games did, and its story is not as great as we all wanted it to be. A great game for lovers of the original, but it could have been something more.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow represents an excellent reboot of the saga, with a huge diversity in the gameplay, scenarios, enemies and situations. With nice graphics and immersive soundtrack, fans from the Konami's franchise will be pleased with this long hack'n slash adventure. A must have.

This Final Fantasy is an old school JRPG with good ideas but has a too simple battle system and a poor and generic plot.

Samurai Warriors 3 comes exclusively to Wii in a game that maintains the strengths and weaknesses of previous installments of the franchise. If you like this kind of game, it will go big. If not, there is nothing new under the sun.

Control-wise, FIFA 11 offers several new features, but it has some ideas during the match that prevent it from vastly improving itself and becoming the ultimate football game. Its main features this year: playing as the goalkeeper and playing 11 vs 11 players online.

Rock - It's all about it. The latest chapter on Activision's franchise if one of its best so far, with a huge tracklist and plenty of new gameplay styles. Tecmo's first attempt in Third Person Shooter genre has arrived, in a title that gets a lot of inspiration in the Gears of War franchise. Unfortunately, the winner elements of Epic saga hasn't they been ported properly, and are combined with an overall lack of innovation.

Front Mission Evolved is not what we all expected, but it has its strong points. Despite it's flaws, it has some fun to deliver and an interesting multiplayer. Unfortunately, it's not a game fit for fans of the Front Mission series, and it doesn't appeal to the huge new audiece Square Enix had in mind.

F1 2010 is a great game, one of the best racing games this year. It recreates faithfully such a technical competition, both gameplay-wise and visually-wise. If the AI was harder, this would be one of the best games in the genre. Online modes could be much more interesting.

It may be hard to believe, and painful to accept, but the last "official" chapter of Final Fantasy is a huge disappointment, and it not only becomes the worst chapter of the saga, but also one of the worst MMORPG we have played in a long time. It's obvious that Square-Enix is no longer what it used to be.

Civilization V is a fantastic entry in the series, which avoids the trap of getting stagnant thanks to some important novelties on combat system, interface and general design, designed to create a 4X of elegant and clean mechanics.

Halo Reach has the best campaign appearing in consoles for Elites, the upgraded coop mode, the excellent enemy IA , the new skills ... and has an infinite multiplayer. Reach is the definitive Halo and one of the most important games in recent years.

Phantasy Star Portable 2 is better than the previous game, and it improves at many levels. Despite not being perfect yet, it's a fun, long, compelling and very interesting experience. Both one player or multiplayer game modes are great, as there are so many things to do in this universe.

Amnesia is an interesting games with some good ideas. Its pace is slow, its gameplay is not common and its narrative could be better, but it delivers what hardcore horror fans may be looking for. Ideal for those who love having a bad time with their PCs, and as the game itself recommends, it's better to play in a pitch black room.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is just one of the best games for the PSP, with a great and long storyline, the best battle system of all Kingdom Hearts games to date and three fantastic new main characters. Don't worry about the subtitle: this is the Kingdom Hearts III you've been waiting for.

R.U.S.E. is a smart videogame in his genre with huge doses of tactics and interesting playability. One of the best RTSs for console gamers.

Nice, interesting and fun, but not enough to be a top 10 of Wii's game catalog. WayForward's latest work's nothing more than an entertaining beat 'em up, with a great use of its comic-style.

The first case of Chuck Greene is quite interesting, a great way for enjoying the zombie slaughtering before the launch of Dead Rising 2. Overall it's a good game, fun, compelling and with a new focus on exploring that gives new ideas to the franchise, and they work rather well.

The effort of Team Ninja and Nintendo working hand-to-hand on the development of a new Metroid iteration is mainly everything a fan of the series could've expected - Isolation, action, love and thrill... Other M's a trip into Samus Aran's mind and feelings. Meanwhile, the gameplay is successful when trying to offer some fun, something that's worth trying. It doesn't matter if you're a die-hard of the franchise or just a curious newcomer, Metroid: Other M hits the spot just where it had to do it, and that's basically everything we've asked for after so many years willing to try some new 2D action based on this heroine.

Catchy flies but none of them good enough to justify to stupidity of the campaing mode. Nice graphics, great sound, quite impressive gameplay style but bassically's more of the same that we learned on Ace Combat X. Give it a try if you're a die-hard of the series. It could be interesting for those who're willing to have some multiplayer fun.

Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island is an old-school point'n'click adventure, with an interesting gameplay. Its visuals, by Bill Tiller, are amazing, and the scenarios feel like the main characters of this adventure.

The fifth and final chapter of Sam&Max's third season is epic and nostalgic, full of surprises and old friends. The third series of Steve Purcell's characters is over with elegance and with the classic taste of their latest adventure. See you soon, Sam and Max!

Valkyria Chronicles is as great as the original was: it improves some things, it lacks other things, but overall, it's an incredible game. With 40 hours of gameplay and charming characters and story, it's easily one of the best original games on the PSP yet.

Worms are back in a new adventure, since the XBLA exclusive Worms 2: Armageddon. One of the most addicting strategy game strikes again, available only via direct download on Steam.

Mafia II follows the steps of the first one, showing that there is more than one way to use sandbox space. Others will argue that the beautifully built Empire Bay is underused as a virtual space, but one must praise the ambition of a studio willing to build such scenario to add character and background to his heavily scripted story. Mafia II's narrative shows the way for other games with similar ambitions.

Lara Croft changes her typical gameplay, but it's even better right now: a huge game, full of elements, fun and compelling, with great visuals and gameplay. It's excellent overall, one of the best XBLA/PSN games out there.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a great action game, with some original ideas that make up for one of the greatest action games thus far this year. We get the complete package: Great coop and competitive game modes, compelling gameplay and story, good visuals and a couple of charming characters.

The Guild 2: Renaissance retains the good features of previous editions and includes a few improvements without justifying the existence of this new version. It is still a fun title that does not require the original version to be installed, but should only be considered if you are a true follower of the series. Otherwise, you may have to wait for a collector's edition that may include all the previous titles.

Clash of the Titans was a nice movie, at least an interesting one, but the game's quite a stun. The Unreal Engine makes a good effort in recreating the same atmosphere, using the original characters and a different perspective for the story, that we experience under the eyes of Pherseus. The Gods are going to pay their deeds, and we need to help the main character achieve his goal. Buy it if you're a fan of the hack 'n slash genre, or just a movie-lover. There's nothing new, but what we find's at least playable.

Alan Wake is back with an interesting new episode. It's the same game, with the same visuals, the same environments, the same enemies, the same weapons... but with an interesting plot. It's short (about an hour of gameplay), but it's fun and interesting, and the most important thing, it's cheap.

Finally, the eagerly awaited sequel to the original bestseller Starcraft is here. While Wings of Liberty will not break the mold in the world of real-time strategy gaming, it surely stands out as the best package to be found in this genre. For the competitors that will try to seize it in the future, Starcraft 2 is - simply put - the new benchmark for years to come.

Sam & Max's third season is about to end, and offers us an episode with many answers to the questions posed during the series. A very fun adventure, with much dark humour, and with an ending that will delight every fan out there.

DeathSpank is a really funny videogame, the perfect mix between Diablo and Monkey Island. It has madness, hilarious situations and addictive gameplay. One of the hits of this summer.

Being as it's a marvelous example of how to rebuilt a JRPG from a traditional fan-base, DQIX's very much everything what we can expect on a Square Enix game, specially under this franchise: a considerable mixture of monsters, 50+ hours of pure fun and an interesting story. Bear in mind that this's multiplayer focused cartridge - you'll only take the 100% of its content playing along with some friends.

Guybrush Theepwood strikes back in the remake of his best adventure so far. Also, Lechuck's Revenge is one of the best of his genre. A great adventure game and a fantastic remake.

Competitive online First Shooter Person with twelve maps and seven classic modes. But's too simple and generic without any innovation in the genre.

Crackdown 2 is quite similar to the previous game, it lacks innovation and fresh ideas. But its 4 players coop mode is really fun, and we can spend several hours playing that game mode. If you plan on playing alone, there are much better options.

It was supposed to be something special, but in the end, the latest work by High Voltage Studios's nothing more than a failed 1vs1 under the shadow of some cool fighters. Nice mechanics, but the rest isn't as special as we'd wanted in the beginning.

The descendant of Grand Theft Auto series is behind it, uses the Unreal Engine 3 technology, it has the best character creator ever made in a videogame, and it's gameplay style is based on the MMO and the third person shooter genres. Is it possible that a cocktail like that could disappoint us? As amazing as it may sound, yes it can.

Another post-apocalyptic FPS with an incredibly immersive atmosphere that shines in its audio-visual narrative. Its good gameplay in battle has some problems, like simple puzzles and poor multiplayer.

Lego Harry Potter is not the most innovative game out there, but it's still fun, with many things to do, and a great sense of humour. A unique game for Harry Potter lovers, who will have a great time with their beloved characters and movies.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior is released as an interesting first-person shooter, with stunning visuals and a cool cinematographic style, but there isn't enough depth in the story and gameplay.

Nintendo and Treasure fully reached their goal in the making of a better and longer action adventure - Sin & Punishment 2: Successor to the Sky's one of the most beautiful games that you'll find on the Wii console. It uses an interesting score system that hardcore players will love, not only because its playability, but also for the online ranking system. Shame there's not a WiFi coop to share with players around the world.

Dragon Ball Origins 2 its a nice follow-up to the 2008 original game. It has a better storyline and the same gameplay style, but unfortunately, Game Republic doesn't fix the controls and there are some problems related with the framerate.

A Third Person Shooter with some gameplay innovations, a great atmosphere and full of action. Slightly simple in design of levels and repetitive mechanics, but fun.

This new chapter is a great tribute to noir films and also has a great development of the story and great puzzles. A five-hours-long perfect mix that won't disappoint Sam and Max die-hard fans.

A great game for kids and a good choice if you are one of those who are still feeling young. The Toy Box mode and its cooperative possibilities are enough to make you come back to a universe that anyone beyond 13 years old has forbidden access.

Gameloft shows us why this kind of classic games never dies. Extremely funny, with a perfect design and nice additions like the multiplayer support, this is a must have if you like the classic action platform games.

Peace Walker's one of the best games for PSP that we've tried this year, probably the best MGS that Kojima's made so far for a handheld platform. It tells the story of Big Boss, ten years later after the incidents with his mentor, which he killed in an epic battle. Now, with the aggravation of a war conflict between the CIA and the KGB, he listens her voice again on a cassette tape, and thus accepting the mission of aiding Paz Andrade and friends. Co-Op options, new Mother Base implementation... Peace Walker aims to the top of PSP catalog, and makes it even further.

The latest Rock Band's a nice choice for those the fans of the band or of Rock Band itself, but you won't find anything new in it if you want to experience something new on musical terms. A nice buy for punk-lovers.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 comes with the same guarantees of quality and realism of its predecessors, with exciting new features that make it the best golf simulator today.

Four great games, probably some of the best entries on MegaMan's series. Unfortunately, it lacks some kind of extras and it's just an emulation that doesn't even expand to the whole size of the DS screen. It's a shame, but the games are so good nonetheless, that this Collection is worth it even so.

Five nice maps with only one issue: a very high price. Modern Warfare's harcore players would be pleased with the add-on, everyone else, should think it twice.

Obsidian doesn't produce the prettiest games, or the ones with the most impressive production values, but if there is one thing this studio does very well it's writing and they give another lesson of that with Alpha Protocol, inventing a solid, interesting and intriguing story in a world of spies and conspiracies. But beyond the quality, the most impressive thing is how the studio has managed to integrate decisions with story in a convincing way, creating a game where different choices, playstyles and attitudes have a direct impact on the narrative.

A bad game with awful graphics, repetitive sounds and a control system that doesn't match this gen gaming standards. A game that soccer lovers must avoid at all costs.

Blur is a great arcade game, a mixture of Mario Kart's, Burnout's and Need for Speed's gameplay, but with the depth of every Bizarre Creation's works. The AI is great, there are enough game modes, and it has the multiplayer needed to become one of the best arcade racing games of the year.

Adding hardly few innovations to the series, UFC 2010 Undisputed tries to address some of last year's issues, but shows new ones, specially in the controls and in his poor game modes.

Fun and interesting, Tetris Party Deluxe offers nothing more than some new gameplay modes and the same issues from every game of the franchise. A good game despite its flaws.

Both versions of ModNation Racers have been developed in parallel to provide two different proposals of the same concept. What we've got here is a crazy kart racing game, with a huge amount of creation tools and a good online community. Only a few shortcomings in the gameplay penalizes the final result. Even so, this is one of the best games of the genre, which aims to be a benchmark in the PlayStation Portable catalog.

Super Mario Galaxy was considered one of the best platform games ever and we couldn't expect the same for its sequel. However, what Super Mario Galaxy 2 has achieved is amazing: every level contains a different and really original quest. You will play a totally new game inspired by the first game, but without copying it at all. In addition to this, Nintendo has also fixed most of the minor failures of its predecessor, including the low difficulty level.

Metal Slug XX is so much fun that you can forget its main issues. It's a short game, it has almost no new features and it lacks depth at every level. But it's sheer fun, with great replay value and one of the best coops out there.
