It has all the ambitions and potential worthy of a true next-gen title, from its visuals to the freedom it offers to the player, although it falls victim of its own limitations. But this title still has the flavour of something quite innovative. [Dec 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

The usual audience will be captivated by its story, that’s complemented with some great real time strategy mechanics. Just trying to unlock all of the elemental Espers will make you addicted. [Apr 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Visceral action supported by one of the best combat systems that you can find. But it fails to offer anything new which, alongside the lack of polish and a better balance of the difficulty, makes this sequel pretty much more of the same. [July 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Another good chapter on this franchise. The multiplayer makes it an even more attractive proposition, since the single player campaign is good enough on its own, with the usual adrenaline fix for anyone who likes dogfights. [Dec 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Above all, it’s well worth just for its incredible atmosphere of pure tension, with the help of the technical side of things that work “for” the game instead of enslaving it. The first person action has an even more physical approach than in the original game and delivers a more “personal” experience. [Apr 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Taking advantage of the experience of previous titles, this new Buzz manages to offer a lot more. More quantity and more options, with the introduction of online support for multiplayer sessions and downloadable content. [July 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

It’s not perfect and can be easily criticized for the lack of customization of the online races and the absence of damages. But it’s far from being a simple demo and has a lot of reasons that fans of series should be interested in. It’s well worth the investment. [Apr 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Even for all the respect and love that the Castlevania series deserves, the gameplay mechanics fell completely out of date. But if you look at it as a “collection item”, it manages to deliver. New players will become desperate with its old fashion gameplay and difficulty, but that’s exactly what Castlevania fans are looking for here. [March 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

It’s the confirmation of everything that was great on FIFA 08 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The gameplay is side-by-side with everything that Pro Evolution Soccer has delivered over the years and it’s better than any FIFA to date. And with its shiny presentation and online and offline modes, it’s a must have for every soccer fan out there. [Apr 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

If all of Nintendo's efforts to reinvent the interaction with player produce such great results as Wii Fit, they are more than welcome. You can say that this a new kind of social game that will bring you closer to friends but, above all, motivate you to healthy habits and burn those "extra" pound that have been bothering you for a while. Even to gamers more used to Bioware and Bethesda, it’s still a great proposition to everyone who likes RPGs, with its delightful backstory and visuals. [Nov 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

A very peculiar game that takes advantage of the five rules of optical illusion to build puzzles and challenges. The minimalistic design and classic music gives it some personality, but it can become quite frustrating in long sessions. [Aug 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Don’t be fooled by it’s cute 2D visuals and the sidescrolling format that reminds us of the old 16 bit platformers, because this is a great strategy game. It can be chaotic at times, and there aren’t many different levels. But everything else makes up for it. [Dec 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Being a kind of update for Race Driver: Create & Race, Race Driver: Grid it’s not the best investment for those who already own the first one. But if you don’t have it, and if you are looking for a “serious” racing game for the DS, this is the one to get. [Sept 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

This DS title still manages to be as addictive as the original, even if the control scheme on the portable isn’t as intuitive as on the Xbox 360. It’s fun, but you should take it with some moderation… or else you might lose all felling in your hand and wrist due to the pain. [Jan 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

An old fashion RPG with turn-based combats and random encounters that might put your patience to the test. And the same can be said for the amount o loading screens. But watching these characters grow within the story is well worth it. [March 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

A great platformer and one of the best Sonic games in side scrolling. Along with Wii’s The Secret Rings it’s probably enough to dislodge Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 and PS3 from our memory. [Nov 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Even without offering something new to anyone who knows the franchise, it still manages to be a surprise. It’s pretty well executed for a portable game and the sound atmosphere is unsettling… as you might expect from a Silent Hill title. [Jan 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Following the steps of old GBA games of the same franchise, it doesn’t offer anything new. But it still manages to be addictive for player who like old fashion games, with a nice 2D and a difficulty level that can lead who to throw your DS against a wall. [March 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

It’s one of those cases that could easily pass for an expansion of previous titles, but those similarities are also one of its stronger points. There are some highly challenging battles here, especially if you want to keep all of the party members alive. [Apr 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Reinforcing its clear contrast with other tennis games, Top Spin 3 is not a title for the simply curious. The gameplay is difficult and complex, but as soon as you get over the learning curve, you gain access to one of the most rewarding and realistic tennis experiences to date. And if you take in account the different game modes, all the real tennis fans will simply love it. [Aug 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Arriving very late to Europe, Yakuza 2 is already showing signs of age. But despite some technical problems, it can make a good use of an interesting story, a brutal combat system and an exciting environment. [Oct 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Despite being a fantastic game, we can't say we are totally satisfied with NBA Live 09. We are sure that the EA team has the talent to make a better game and taking the series to a really groundbreaking level, as they show with the NBA Live 365 functionality. [Oct 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

It doesn’t have the greatness of George Lucas space saga, but the implicit exploration of the movies allows for a better exploitation of the puzzle element. A fun proposition for all audiences. [July 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

This is quite a contradictory game. The console has so many titles available that this one doesn’t really stand out, but it’s nevertheless a good Donkey Kong. Some of the levels are really creative, but others become quite frustrating because they require too much of the controls, which are innovative but not very precise. In this effort to regain the title, PES plays it safe and recovers the classic gameplay that conquered the players in the last decade. But while it can be enough to hold on the fans, the reused formula and the comeback of the same old flaws can be a growing problem for the future. [Oct 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

Pro Evo appears to be tired and probably needs a break. It’s still a great soccer game, and when enjoyed with friends it’s still one of the best multiplayer games on consoles, but its stagnant state has to be recognized even by the most ferocious supporters. [Nov 2007]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)

While it’s not a rupture from the series roots, this is still an excellent experience, thanks to a thrilling story and a group of characters that can touch the player. The tactical nature of the gameplay is still a distinctive approach in the World War II genre. [Oct 2008]- Maxi Consolas (Portugal)
