It’s the culmination of a very long development that presents itself as one of the first good surprises of the year. It doesn’t have the intention to innovate, especially when compared to Resident Evil 4, but its solid gameplay mechanics, alongside with some great visuals, make for a great experience. Especially for those who like visceral action. [Apr 2008]

The stylus might offer some new dynamic to these mini-games, but that doesn’t stop them from being repetitive when played solo. This makes playing with your friend a mandatory condition to enjoy it. [Jan 2008]

It manages to accomplish what it intended: fast paced action, following the same paths in search of the perfect score. But besides its obvious inspiration, this is not a racing game and how many action fans will be willing to repeat the same processes over and over again? [Feb 2008]

We welcome with open arms the change of attitude and approach of this new Need for Speed. But we frown upon some of the problems that were left unsolved, like the structure of the career mode but mainly on the handling of the cars. But for those who turned their backs on the previous games, it’s a good place to return to this franchise. [Dec 2007]

Just in case you’re starving for some more Dragon Ball, Burst Limit offers a great visual representation of the series with a solid combat system, but there’s not as much content as the last PS2 entry. With its online modes, Burst Limit is a positive debut for current gen console, but we crave for more. [July 2008]

Non-stop action and an amazing destruction engine are the key elements in this sequel, even more ambitious than the original. And it’s true that a few flaws, especially in the graphics and AI, spoil the final result, but the mindless fun it’s all there. [Sept 2008]

The game stays true to the series and it manages to introduce some new mini-games between levels. There’s probably too much contextual actions going on, that slows down the action. But it’s a decent proposal for the PSP nonetheless. [Aug 2008]

Although we’re real fans of co-op action, we couldn’t help but to feel disappointed. It’s just not well structured and doesn’t seem to offer any real exciting moments. Some of its mechanics are well implemented, but there are some other cooperative shooters far better than this one that don’t even have to pull these kinds of tricks. [Apr 2008]

The way it makes fun of the videogame culture is pure Simpsons genius, but the gameplay gets in the way of all the fun. Fans will still have their Simpsons fix, but the marriage between two different mediums (the TV show and the videogame) doesn’t work out very well. [Nov 2007]

Although there’s some new stuff, it sticks with last year’s formula. Which probably wouldn’t be that bad if the same old problems didn’t remain intact, from the limited AI to the graphical bugs, not forgetting those annoying loading screens. [Dec 2007]

By far the best game from Eutechnyx, it is still behind other titles in this genre. Recommended only to diehard Ferrari fans, or those who look for a more realistic style of driving. [Sept 2008]

The experience is not as fun as with plastic guitars. But it’s a well thought game to take advantage of the DS, with the help of the Guitar Grip. It’s a shame that the limitations of the console itself became an obstacle to the fun factor, making you struggle with the size of the console and the cramps on your hand. [Aug 2008]

It’s still a good game, but unfortunately it doesn’t offer anything that’s different or relevant when compared to last year’s title. This time, EA Sport’s rival "NHL 08" takes the throne. [Dec 2007]

This game accomplishes some small victories. It has one of the best hand-to-hand combat systems on a third person action game and remains true to its movie legacy. But the gameplay is kind of schizophrenic and has many weaker sections, especially the ones related with fire arms. [July 2008]

Not a classic but probably one of the best Sims on consoles. It’s true that some of the magic is lost due to some objectives with obscure solutions and the excessive loadings. But the concept can be quite appealing at times. [Dec 2007]

Embracing the Dark Side of the Force, this is a game plenty of action, memorable locations e a few surprises in the Star Wars world. It has some technical issues and an incoherent difficulty, but it’s still an experience that no fan should miss, also deserving the attention of the action gamers. [Sept 2008]

We might say that this game was a bit “unlucky” with its release date, because it can’t measure up with some of the FPS that came out this year. The truth is, although the time controls are a fun idea, everything else is a carbon copy of every other generic shooter out there. [Dec 2007]

The franchise makes its next gen debut but with some out of date visuals, especially if you look at other off road racers already released. Even so, the diversity of events and good track design can still offer some “good old fashion” fun. [March 2008]

In the line of WarioWare Touched!, here is another good casual game for DS. It’s funny and quite intuitive, especially in the competitive mode, but it’s also repetitive and sometimes frustrating. [Sept 2008]

It could have been a pack of downloadable content for Guitar Hero III. But Aerosmith fans will certainly like it. Some of the tracks are actually fun, mostly due to Joe Perry’s quality as lead guitarist. But it doesn’t add anything new to the franchise. [Aug 2008]

Here is one of the most interesting approaches to the SimCity concept. The slow pace can push away players expecting for quick fun, and the lack of more save slots can be frustrating for those of like to keep their cities. [Oct 2008]

Those who know what to expect from Harvest Moon will find here one of the best titles of the series. To those not familiar with the gameplay, we recommend the game with some caution, since it’s slow and repetitive mechanic, while captivating, will bore the less patient and frustrate those with little time to invest in the discovery of the hidden treasures of a country life. It’s not a bad game, but it feels somewhat incomplete. It has good ideas for the Wiimote, but it fails to implement them. It has great sceneries but too many slowdowns...To tell the truth, we would rather have waited a few more months for a better result. [Feb 2008]
