TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is everything we needed. It's a game we'll constantly come back to for single player or with friends, in local co-op and over the internet, to find all the hidden secrets and cameos. Tribute Games shows its years of experience and Dotemu is now the new authority on modern beat 'em ups, after Streets of Rage 4.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a constant blur in my brain. What I see, and what I hear, is not felt in my hands, which return to the late '80s and embark on a pixel art adventure, but now more HD than ever. This is not bad, on the contrary, it is a dichotomy that no other remake or remastering has made me feel until now.

A very skilled hybrid game between point-and-click adventure and platformer. The plot and the surprises it has in store make it a very special, unique and absolutely satisfying game.

This is the best game in the Harry Potter universe to date, but beyond that, it is a great title that offers a user-friendly experience for newcomers to open-world RPGs with a wide range of possibilities to guarantee hours of fun.

The strong point of Resident Evil Village is variety: it's a great survival horror that offers the best of the genre at once.

Black Mesa will probably go down in history as one of the most ambitious, successful, eye-catching and exciting fan-made projects. Its value as a remake is very high: it elevates in every respect the original Half-Life by Valve and even adds a lot of content. It is definitely the best way to enjoy this story.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a great game at the end of the day because it understands what makes a great experience, introduces new characters to fall in love with, and tells a deep story. Miles may have a long way to go, but if there's one thing this game proves, it's that the suit isn't too big for him.

Spiritfarer turned out to be a grand sea adventure of resource management, which added a generous collection of stories through a memorable cast of characters, all of them animated in a most sublime way so to give this game a feeling of pure magic.

The quintessential ninja makes his triumphant return to his roots with The Game Kitchen as developer, offering a spectacular audiovisual experience and polished, action-packed 2D gameplay. One of the best in the genre.

Doom: The Dark Ages is fun, brutal and a great twist on classic gameplay. The shield and new weapons are great additions, but the dragon and giant robot are an unnecessary and poorly resolved distraction.

Sucker Punch delivers an epic Samurai adventure that is constantly debating what kind of game it wants to be, just as its protagonist questions his own actions and responsibility. Ghost of Tsushima is the pinnacle of a genre represented by great exponents. However, the game not only does not seem to bring anything particularly new, but neither does it raise the bar or represent an evolution in open world games.

Nier Replicant is a must-play for fans because it is the best version of the original Nier to date. A very personal and, above all, emotional and unique game. A journey full of feelings in which nothing is what it seems and never ceases to amaze us with each new ending.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure doesn't reinvent anything but it does well what a 3D platformer can do well. Unfortunately, the solo experience doesn't have the same excitement as playing it in co-op. In fact, playing single player means missing the multiplayer levels. If you have someone to share it with, you are going to find an adventure that makes you smile at all times, offering lots of fun. A challenge for adults and children.

The charm of its main character and a great world building elevate an experience that would otherwise be somewhat of a letdown. The narrative is really engaging and the artistic direction is top notch, but there's not much else to do in terms of mechanics and exploration. At the same time, if you love cats, this is could end up being a pretty special adventure (and it has a dedicated button to meow, of course).

Starfield has one of the best new game pluses I've ever tried and the ambition of every edge of the title is continually felt as we play. I was living this experience for over fifty hours, but I could have played five hundred and I would still have so many things to enjoy. There will be a lot of debate about a lot of things about Starfield, but, without a doubt, it is a step forward in the innovation of how new technologies can give us an experience in videogames and it is a work that convincingly goes for much more, something that is increasingly valuable in this field.

I genuinely believe that V Rising has a complete product for almost any type of player. The only reason you shouldn't give it a chance is if you absolutely don't like survival games. The only thing I would like it to have a bit more of is variety in the boss movements (especially in the first half of the game) and more variety in the music, but at least one of those complaints is addressed by the Brutal mode in this version 1.0.

Advance Wars 1+2: ReBoot Camp is a great game for newcomers to the turn-based strategy genre. Bringing this IP back means revaluating a hidden gem, but the additions aren't enough to make this new version a definitive edition of such classic games.

Disc Room is Devolver Digital’s new indie gem, developed by the same team responsible of High Hell, Heavy Bullets, and Minit.
