Sonic Colors Ultimate is the best way to enjoy the 2010 classic and remains one of the best modern Sonic games.- Malditos Nerds

F1 2021 is not the great evolution or the step forward that we expected. The reasons are in plain sight and neither the context nor what happens depends on Codemasters.- Malditos Nerds

With all its small improvements and a lot of content to make, Madden 21 offers a slightly better package than in previous years. However, it does not finish kicking the board or revolutionizing its mechanics; we're still waiting for a football game to blow us away.- Malditos Nerds

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is clearly a game from another generation. There is a lot here that the series still does well, particularly when it comes to setting and story. However, years don't come alone, and the quality of this remastered, along with the game's control problems of controls, really make the experience less interesting.- Malditos Nerds

Cris Tales stumbles more than we would like it to. It's a shame because, with some adjustments, the game might have been a true classic.- Malditos Nerds

UFC 4 is a game that looks like no other inside the octagon, but that has problems in giving us something else that lives up to that, falling short in game modes as well as blurring a sport that to this day continues to fight for legitimacy.- Malditos Nerds

While a fun game like the others in the franchise, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii doesn't do much to justify its existence in a series where plot and character development are among the main draws. It's a good pirate adventure, but I can't say for sure it is a good Yakuza game.- Malditos Nerds

Double Kick Heroes is an original experience with strong foundations and lot of love. Unfortunately, all that love and dedication cannot mask the problem of its main mechanics and, although this is far from ruining the game, it is a discomfort that takes a long time for the player to get used to.- Malditos Nerds

Sand Land is the latest video game adaptation of one of Akira Toriyama's works, presenting us with a world devoid of water, tyrants, bandits, and numerous secrets. With a simple open world and outdated combat, Sand Land falls short of offering a complete experience to the player.- Malditos Nerds

If what you're looking for is to play tennis, TopSpin 2K25 is the best way to do it in 2024. If you want something more or to play casually, the presence of microtransactions and the limited variety of professional players (which is not the case for the stadiums!) do not justify the price to pay.- Malditos Nerds

At the end of the day, Sker Ritual offers solid gameplay, with a nice arsenal, enemies with unique powers that add to the difficulty, and a well-balanced mix of waves and objectives. Visually, it has very detailed work. The problem is that what makes it great at the beginning ends up condemning it when thinking about the game in the long term.- Malditos Nerds

Kao's return after so many years is definitely a caress to the hearts of all those fans who enjoyed it during their childhood. It is also an invitation for all of those who were busy with Mario, Donkey Kong, Crash and Spyro to get to know and appreciate it.- Malditos Nerds

These two new remakes will likely be remembered as the weakest, especially considering that they are stuck in the middle of Sword & Shield, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus which is only due out in a few months.- Malditos Nerds

The charm of its main character and a great world building elevate an experience that would otherwise be somewhat of a letdown. The narrative is really engaging and the artistic direction is top notch, but there's not much else to do in terms of mechanics and exploration. At the same time, if you love cats, this is could end up being a pretty special adventure (and it has a dedicated button to meow, of course).- Malditos Nerds

Immortals of Aveum is a fun magical FPS that takes place in a colorful and spectacular world made in Unreal Engine 5. It has a frenetic and agile combat system, a modest replayability component and a fresh proposal. However, its predictable story, flat characters and the irregular aesthetic presentation end up being a difficult burden to drag. When it shows its best side it is pure fun, but when the action slows down and the dialogues, the exploration of generic areas and the constant updating in the forge begin, it can become repetitive and even tedious.- Malditos Nerds

Advance Wars 1+2: ReBoot Camp is a great game for newcomers to the turn-based strategy genre. Bringing this IP back means revaluating a hidden gem, but the additions aren't enough to make this new version a definitive edition of such classic games.- Malditos Nerds

Trinity Fusion fulfills its primary function, which is to entertain and challenge. Its strong point is its agile and entertaining combat system, which invites us to dodge at the last moment and combine the temporary improvements that we have acquired. It is designed with the idea that there is always a way to dodge damage and that, potentially, we could go through the entire game without being touched. That guarantees interesting bosses with logical attack patterns, which we can learn to dodge and windows to counterattack.- Malditos Nerds

Cookie Cutter is an interesting metroidvania, but with some contrasts. On the one hand we have Cherry, with her vulgar and violent personality, a remarkable artistic section and a varied group of charismatic NPCs. But on the other hand, Subcult Joint's work can't escape the typical tropes of the genre. It is a game that, at the end of the day, is built on the guidelines of a genre that borders on over-exploitation. Even so, it is still a very fun video game that stands out for several reasons. In other words, it is not a perfect or revolutionary title, but it is one that is worth giving a chance.- Malditos Nerds

The work of Creative Business Unit 3 is once again reflected in a short experience that leaves us wanting to see much more of what's to come next year. Echoes of the Fallen is more of Final Fantasy XVI, with its hits and misses. Let's hope that Naoki Yoshida and his team will display more of the possibilities that this world has to offer in its next release.- Malditos Nerds

The Wonderful 101 Remastered is a game that definitely has style, personality, and attitude. However, during the process of leaving the WiiU behind, it has lost some of its charm. This is a remastering work that feels right, but it's also awkward sometimes due to how it solves some Wii U's features such as dual-screen mechanics.- Malditos Nerds

This definitive edition of Age of Empires III will doubly be able to get rid of the "black sheep" label. However, the changes in the interface, as well as being able to choose the HUD of the game that best suits our way of playing, alternating between the classic and the new one, changing the position of the resources and all the indicators, make this game the best version of Age III but, unfortunately, it will have to compete against the prejudices of the vast majority of fans who ignored it for so long.- Malditos Nerds

Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios did a more than acceptable work in both the graphic and sound aspects of this remastered, polishing even the smallest detail and giving users the possibility to add content freely, where we will find an enormous amount of fresh stuff to try. We will, once again, put on our commander's uniform to solve international conflicts in the best warlike manner.- Malditos Nerds

New Star GP is a casual, arcade game that aims for a particular aesthetic and gameplay that is in short supply these days. I'm glad it exists, and I'm touched by the strong love of motorsport it has present. I think it's a fun videogame to play, even with friends, but I think -empirically- it's an idea that is directly intended for those who enjoy the sport.- Malditos Nerds

Scars Above is a good, fairly classic action-adventure game with fun gameplay and an interesting story. It takes design ideas from Returnal and, with that, offers its own unique approach. a short game that marks a good debut for this indie studio.- Malditos Nerds

Let’s Sing Queen is a title that fulfills a very simple wish: to sing Queen songs. The game doesn't need to be much more than that, although it still feels like it lacks more songs, tributes from other bands to Queen, behind the scenes, or some kind of extra content.- Malditos Nerds

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is easy to recommend on PC and Xbox One for its low price, but not so much on Playstation 4. The improvements over the original trilogy are noticeable, both in quality and in variety, and if you have company in this zombie hell, you'll find a satisfying experience that has a lot to offer.- Malditos Nerds
