Unicorn Overlord is a must-have that fans of strategy games can't pass up. It's a game packed with complex systems that interact to keep you thinking about the best ways to maximize each unit in your squads. Perhaps this makes it a game that may be unsuitable for first time players, but its different difficulty levels do a good job of keeping newcomers from getting overwhelmed by so many systems and allowing veterans to dive right into the strategy.

Helldivers 2 is a massive success and a breath of fresh air for the entire industry. Arrowhead Game Studios surprises with an exceptional game that delivers an epic cinematic sensation, keeping you on the edge of your seat without any pretensions. All of this is achieved without succumbing to the vices of the industry, where players are often exploited with predatory monetization schemes. This deserves to be celebrated. At the moment, we can only highly recommend Helldivers 2; it is a much-needed triumph in the current gaming landscape.

From the beginning to the end, you will feel the need to keep playing, to know what happens to Cloud and his friends and if Shinra or Sephiroth will end the world. This impressive adventure stands as testimony that the remake project remains in good hands, honors its legacy and takes it to the top with new and original elements.

FOAMSTARS has some fun elements and offers some frenetic, chaotic and exciting matches, but it also lacks creativity, identity and shame with one of the most abusive microtransactions we’ve seen.

Mario vs Donkey Kong is the perfect example of how Nintendo should remake all of its games. It has everything the original had but it adds a lot of content that looks better than ever.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lives up to its name and shoots itself in the foot with repetitive mission design, a very chaotic combat, microtransactions and an overwhelming loot system. While the Task Force X villains are very charismatic, they are unable to rescue a generic game. The worst part is that it doesn't do justice to the legacy of Batman: Arkham.

SILENT HILL: The Short Message speaks to the transcendental nature of P.T. for the survival horror genre as we know it today—a monument of great cultural importance within the industry, now lost thanks to Konami. Above all, it demonstrates the enormous magnitude of P.T. as a unique work, imitated a thousand times but never equaled. What we get in 2024 is a tasteless simulation, lacking any genuine, reflective, or penetrating qualities.

Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior manages to stand out as an acceptable option within the hack and slash genre with puzzle elements. However, its main drawback lies in the lack of rewards, an essential element to keep players engaged. Despite this limitation, it is commendable as a noteworthy achievement by a group of students graduating with honors.

Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a very simple game, yet it has a lot of charm thanks to its personal narrative that's easy to relate to. Undoubtedly, the connection between Nunu and Willump is the heart of the adventure. While the puzzles are fun and intriguing, it's regrettable that both the platforming and combat are very monotonous. Depth is noticeably lacking in most of its systems.

Cygames did a great job of turning a gacha game into an epic adventure full of action and magic. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Relink capitalizes on the charisma of its characters and their abilities. The best part is that we can unlock them without paying and harness their power in awesome boss battles. Although it is an action RPG, it takes advantage of other elements to make things more interesting. If it were more extensive, had a more solid multiplayer system and more exploration elements, it would be perfect.

Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake that treats with extreme care a JRPG masterpiece to deliver a modern version that respects its original version. ATLUS understood perfectly what adjustments had to be made for Persona 3 to reach the standards that came to the franchise thanks to Persona 5, but without making the mistake of leaning too much towards what the 2016 game delivered.

Born of Bread ends up as a good RPG game and a fun experience. If you are not demanding with this type of proposals, it is an option to consider, but even more so if you have you have been distant from the genre because of the turn-based combat and everything that has to be done in the menus. In the end, this adventure made of bread serves as a good video game, remembering that there is a lot of value in turning to the past to bring it to the present in a proposal with its own soul.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth shows just how special video games can be when they try to be just that: games. While some studios are busier turning their releases into virtual storefronts and others manage unsustainable budgets in hopes of finally getting Hollywood's approval, RGG Studios simply sought to pamper their fans by squeezing the most out of the possibilities in front of them.

Tales of Arise: Beyond The Dawn tells us what happened after the original adventure with a solid story and an endearing character, but fails to recycle everything else. While the storyline is good, the lack of new content makes us doubt the value of this new expansion. Tales of Arise: Beyond The Dawn is only for those who were left wanting to know what happened next, and are looking for a reason to return to the world of Tales of Arise.

I think it is necessary to see Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master as an introductory proposal for the genre and a game that in small portions of consumption can give you fun times. Its campaign, humor and missions are attractive despite its limitations or wrong decisions in execution. We are not facing the panacea of simulation and management and of course we are very far from works like Dungeon Keeper, but it is not a terrible experience either.

The Last of Us: Part II Remastered is a re-release that delivers the best and most complete version of this game. While the graphical changes do little to impress, the extra content is valuable for those hungry for more of Naughty Dog's grim universe. That said, it feels solely like it exists purely for commercial continuity, to capitalize on the hype of the HBO series and give another sales boost to Naughty Dog's video game.

They say old habits die hard, and that's precisely what stains Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. We have a game that knows how to capitalize on the franchise it's based on to deliver a product that does enough to distinguish itself from other releases. Despite having several moments of quality and clever design, the overall quality suffers due to outdated mission design, as well as a dull, hollow, and timid story that shows a lot but says very little.

This new game addresses the main issues from the original 2020 release and introduces a lot of additional content, such as new mechanics and characters. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the definitive version. Although it might not be a must-buy for players who played the previous title, it's an accessible and deep fighting game that will appeal to both newcomers and experts.

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS feels like an unambitious game that focuses on improving its predecessor and introducing a few changes. EA Sports WRC is the first of its kind and although the result is bittersweet, it has solid foundations that could take the franchise to a better level. The heritage of Colin McRae's installments is there, Codemasters was guardian of it for 2 decades, and of course there is a vote of confidence for what they will do in future editions. Unfortunately, in his debut the result is not what was expected and amounts to a slump after a period with good results in his racing game releases. EA Sports WRC is not unplayable, nor a disaster, but it is far from great, although there is room for improvement with the passage of time and updates, so perhaps you could consider it for later.

Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off that delivers without more. It's entertaining and fans of Persona 5 will be happy to spend a few more hours with the Phantom Thieves. Unfortunately, it lacks the impact needed to be one of those side projects that become an arm of the main franchise. Nor does it carry enough weight to become one of the best games of its genre. It is simply an entertaining title and little more.

This is Super Mario RPG for a new era and a new audience, with improvements that bring it closer to modern standards. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a game that comes more as a luxury than a necessity. Just when it seemed that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA had completely handed the baton to Ichiban Kasuga, they spoiled us with an installment that pays tribute to everything that made the series great and treats Kazuma Kiryu and the legacy he has within his universe as well as in the real world with immense respect. Yes, we will see Kiryu again in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but he may never star in another installment. If so, it would be a phenomenal farewell to the Dragon of Dojima. Thanks for everything, Kiryu.
