Shadow of the Erdtree shines as a fitting conclusion to ELDEN RING, encapsulating every element that has characterized FromSoftware. You'll encounter swampy sections, sweat-inducing combat, beautiful and melancholic locations, and challenging platform segments featuring leaps of faith, scaffolding, and chapel rooftops. Striving to deliver all the classic elements of the Souls saga, Shadow of the Erdtree stands as a love letter to everything the series represents and serves as a worthy farewell to an already legendary game.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance arrives to become the definitive edition of Shin Megami Tensei V. Some of its changes may not be enough to fix the major problems of the original, but it does an incredible job of elevating it and bringing it that much closer to reaching its potential. ATLUS did it again and delivered a re-release that's worth checking out regardless of whether you finished the original game or if it's your first time playing it. Mind you: if you're an old-time Shin Megami Tensei fan, don't expect Vengance to be some sort of director's cut or a chance for the development team to deliver their original vision of the game. There's little in this new version that points in that direction, and it feels more like a 2.0 version made after hearing what critics and fans said about Shin Megami Tensei V. In other words, it's a product that improves in almost every aspect, but also doesn't redefine or revolutionize what we played in 2021.

It seems that Codemasters' plan is to revolutionize its F1 franchise every 2 years and this season we saw minimal changes. However, the result is still outstanding and although it is necessary to correct some details, it is, today, the best Formula 1 game. The career mode is a great success and in itself is worth it to start the engine of the car. compete on the top circuit. It may cause division between realism enthusiasts and casuals in its released state, but not everything has been said. Despite this, in general it is, once again, one of the best sports games of the year.

In the end, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a firm and safe step. Ninja Theory kept things simple and honored their own idea of creating a sequel for fans of the first game, not someone else. As a work with an indie essence and AAA production values, it fulfills its purpose, and although its flaws and limitations are evident, they do not diminish its concept and the strong potential it has to generate emotions, demonstrating that the medium can take other paths beyond the traditional. Yes, Hellblade II is more than a video game, it is a great audiovisual experience that does not betray itself; a work that deserves your time and your feelings.

Endless Ocean Luminous is a title for those who seek a peaceful experience in a place filled with marine life, where the secrets of the ocean can be discovered in an interactive and educational way. Sadly, the game lacks options that could have made it more enjoyable and focused exclusively on exploration that can be too relaxed and at times even very repetitive.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!" is an interesting proposal for manga and anime fans who enjoy party games. The title features boards inspired by important locations from Demon Slayer and the saga's characteristic humor. Sadly, the minigames catalog is poor, and its battles against demons, while intense and enjoyable, cannot save the lack of variety that condemns it to a repetitive experience.

Viewed as a game that gets to the point and takes some, but not all, essential elements of the Metroidvania genre to provide an accessible experience, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU delivers and you will undoubtedly have a good time, although nothing May it change your life or take you back. Despite its limitations and flaws, the combat system, some puzzles and platform challenges, as well as boss battles, are enough to keep going and see if the god of death keeps his word.

SaGa Emerald Beyond is a little bit of a mess because it is so ambitious, but at the same time it didn't receive the love and attention of other Square Enix IP. That makes it reuse a lot of content and being repetitive. Luckily, the combat it’s so amazing that you will have played for hours without noticing.

Stellar Blade is a game that stands out for its excellent character design and lore, but its appeal goes beyond the beautiful visual aspect. It's a really fun experience that we enjoyed due to its exceptional combat system, epic boss battles and enjoyable exploration. It's a brave game that dares to challenge many current trends to become one of the top South Korean representatives in the gaming industry.

Despite being a game with exceptional ideas developed by a talented team, the reality is grim: Phantom Fury debuts with fundamental design flaws amidst the crossfire of survival, Embracer Group, and layoffs during development. Unfortunately, it is a rushed game, plagued by constant errors and a hastily constructed third act.

Pepper Grinder isn't an indie that's going to shake up the industry; it's more of a cute little game that shows us that there's a lot of ground to be rediscovered in the genre. Its core mechanics are incredibly fun, so it's a shame that in the end you're left with the feeling that it could have been more.

Felix The Cat returns in a two-pack of platformers from 30 years ago. The nostalgia hit is evident but not enough to justify its price. It's appreciated that Konami has taken an interest in unearthing a gem of its era, but the treatment of the package is very poor. The lack of extras or improvements on a technical level is somewhat disappointing. It's a nice attempt to bring back Felix The Cat, but it's not the tribute he deserves.

The port for PlayStation 5 is very simple, but we're glad to know that more people will be able to play one of the best games of 2023. Without a doubt, Hi-FI RUSH it's one of the gems of the current console generation.

Princess Peach: Showtime! does some good things, but in the end it falls short. This platformer is full of good ideas, but the problem is that they remain just that: ideas. It's as if its developers had put together a bunch of proofs of concept in a single game without worrying about the most important thing: that they form a fun product and turn out to be more than the sum of all its parts.

Team Ninja's experiment in the open world with Rise of the Ronin leaves a bittersweet taste, although the studio's inexperience in these endeavors is understandable. However, the Japanese studio manages to get away with it thanks to its polished combat system that provides, on several occasions, impressive duels. As I warned, the niche is here for the duels and from that sense you will not be disappointed, apart from that, there are several forgettable elements, but it is a fact that the 2 incentives that I considered during my experience, the development of the story and its combat proposal, are enough to give it a chance.

Contra: Operation Galuga stays true to its roots but makes changes to appeal to old and new players. The result is a good arcade experience that adapts to the player and appeals to nostalgia to convince classic game lovers. While it delivers on being fun and challenging, it fails in its presentation with soulless designs and a less-than-stellar technical side. It is ideal for fans of retro games but for action lovers there are better options to choose from.

It's a game packed with complex systems that interact to keep you thinking about the best ways to maximize each unit in your squads. Perhaps this makes it a game that may be unsuitable for first time players, but its different difficulty levels do a good job of keeping newcomers from getting overwhelmed by so many systems and allowing veterans to dive right into the strategy.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lives up to its name and shoots itself in the foot with repetitive mission design, a very chaotic combat, microtransactions and an overwhelming loot system. While the Task Force X villains are very charismatic, they are unable to rescue a generic game. The worst part is that it doesn't do justice to the legacy of Batman: Arkham.

SILENT HILL: The Short Message speaks to the transcendental nature of P.T. for the survival horror genre as we know it today—a monument of great cultural importance within the industry, now lost thanks to Konami. Above all, it demonstrates the enormous magnitude of P.T. as a unique work, imitated a thousand times but never equaled. What we get in 2024 is a tasteless simulation, lacking any genuine, reflective, or penetrating qualities.
