Far Cry 5 has an interesting story and a theme that explores dark corners of the North American psyche. The Story has some pretty good moments that make you think about what a group of people is capable of when they follow an extreme ideology and they try to impose their vision of the world not caring about anything besides what one person or a book says. But the story just establishes the setting of the game; on top of it there is a pretty fun game, full of action and adventure in witch you'll be running from religious fanatics and blowing everything that stands in your path to put an end to madness.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a beautiful game that takes the soul of PS1 era JRPG to create a must play experience for every fan of the genre. Despite a great presentation and atmosphere, the game can feel like a drag by its fetch quest format.

With good level design, charming graphics and fun multiplayer, Kirby: Star Allies stands as one of the best entries in the franchise. Its Story Mode may be easy, and it probably won’t take you much time to complete, but HAL Laboratory has packed a nice amount of content that will keep Kirby’s biggest fans busy for a while.

Gorgeous at times and frustrating at others, Mulaka is a beautiful journey with an important social message hidden in a format that is too ambitious.

Metal Gear Survive is a strange and unique mix. On one hand it’s an interesting survival game, on the other it’s a merge of Sci-Fi elements with a shoehorned political plot and dull characters. The game has some genuinely fun and intense moments, but its mechanics and stiff controls sometimes make the experience unnecessarily difficult. Despite all of this the game can be quite rewarding and keeps you in a state of urgency that can be really fun.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an unusual success story that leaves us with an important message: in this day and age, a large amount of players can —and will enjoy— a complex game that doesn’t hold you back. We loved every second: getting lost in Bohemia sprawling forests, riding horseback on green prairies, bleedin in the thick of combat and getting stuck between some odd bushes. Kingdom Come: Deliverance it’s a game we can recommend, with caution due its numerous rough edges.

Bayonetta is one of the best series of the hack and slash genre and this port is true to the Wii U versions with some small improvements. It is a good version for new players or for fans who want to remember the action of these games anywhere.

Even if it doesn’t look as good as the original, the Secret of Mana remake is a fun and exciting game. By taking the best of its source material and making some adjustments, Square Enix brings us the most accessible version of the beloved action RPG.

The Inpatient has very good moments of immersive horror and high production values. On the other hand a bad history, irrelevant characters, imprecise controls and almost nonexistent game mechanics leave us with a forgettable VR experience.

Dissidia NT for PS4 is a game that loses itself in its attempt to be different. It is full of fan service and this aspect is very well done, but gameplay wise the game tends to be chaotic, disorganized and confusing. At times, when everything works out, Dissidia NT can be a really great experience, and those times show you the potential this game had if it didn’t try to be so crazy and unique.

With a vast new world full of life, Monster Hunter: World evolves its formula to appeal new players, but for true veterans the effect is a dream come true. Critical adjustments to the formula make this entry easy to get into it which results in the perfect place to spend a long session of hunting with friends.

Lost Sphear is an Old School JRPG with all it’s letters that takes a lot of the classics of the 90s’. Unfortunately it doesn’t just take the positive parts of those games, but also the cliches, which in one part is great because it brings you back, but it also reminds you how overused the formula is. All around the game is somewhat inconsistent and can become tedious, but it’s fast-paced and rewarding gameplay saves it from all its faults.

Subtle but important adjustments to combat and a deeper career mode are without doubt the steps in the right direction for UFC 3. The result positive; this might be the best entry in the series.

Dragon Ball FighterZ balances very well style and concept. It’s an easy game for newcomers, but has room for experts in the genre to develop advanced skills. This may be the very best Dragon Ball fighting game to date because it captures, aesthetically and mechanically, the core and most enjoyable aspects of the series that fans have enjoyed for decades.

Kirby Battle Royale has well designed party minigames but its campaign is repetitive and disappointing. If you have friends to play it you’ll enjoy the madness of the battle but the whole game feels like an extra of past Kirby games and not as a full priced 3DS title.

Farpoint is weak as a shooter but strong as one of the most complete PS VR experiences. Playing it with DualShock 4 is acceptable but definitively the best way to shoot aliens is with the terrific PS VR Aim Controller. If you put aside the boring level design you’ll have pretty good shooting action with the additional challenges.

Gang Beasts has a special touch on its core mechanic, a good mix between funny physics and functional scenarios that will make you laugh like no other game if you have friends to play on local multiplayer. Unfortunately after a long early access the game still feels unfinished with technical problems and terrible servers to play online.

While not an actual representation of the Olympic Winter games, Road to the Olympics new races are an interesting addition that fits very well with the core mechanics of the game. A Hat in Time is not the best platform game of this year, but it surprises us with degrees of experimentation and gameplay variety. Gears for Breakfast debut title is not only recommended for those who yearns the golden age of old school 3D platformers, but also those who want the experience from the past fused with modern designed elements.

Pokemon Ultra Sun has plenty of content to offer to those who spent hours with Pokémon Sun & Moon. Also, this entry has a lot of post-game content for players that want to be the very best.

Despite some minor execution problems, Skyrim VR is a good example of how a traditional game can be translated to VR. The sacrifices made to bring Tamriel to life on a virtual reality landscape are worth it if you consider the completely new perspective used to explore this magnificent RPG, which translates to a whole new immersive experience.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is yet another great port on the hybrid Nintendo platform that includes all the content released since its debut 6 years ago.
