The Isle of Armor is an expansion that does things right, but in the end it feels like an underwhelming experience. The main story leaves a lot to be desired and I can't help but think that some of its improvements should be on the base game.- LevelUp

A revamped classic comes PC within a year of its launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This version is virtually identical to its console counterpart, but with longer load times and fewer players in online mode.- LevelUp

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was never an exceptional platformer - we can even accuse it of being generic - and that remains in its Rehydrated version. What also does not change in this remake is that it is a project that makes good use of its source material. It also looks better with much needed graphical upgrades. A good remake for a decent game.- LevelUp

Naughty Dog again proves that it can rise to expectations. With The Last of Us Part II, the studio maintains its prestigious status with a continuation that keeps intact the shades of the original, although it fails to completely overcome it. In parallel, it attempts to resolve a multi-faceted conflict that is impossible to cut, judge, or limit to spectrums as simple as "good" or "evil." Although character characterization is commendable, sometimes they feel without growth since they make the same mistakes over and over again. The outcome is grimly satisfying (in a sick and odd sense). The result is a visceral delivery supported by its combat, stealth, and world-building. Part II reaffirms how far the medium has come and the impressive craftsmanship behind its creation.- LevelUp

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath story and presentation feels and looks incredible. It's a real testament of how the narrative in a fighting game can evolve. However, this time the content offered in this package feels lacking compared with its high price point. The new characters are worth it but more novelties and additional fighters are needed to justify the purchase. Of course, the free update for all players is appreciated.- LevelUp

Mafia II stood out during the last generation of consoles for all the right reasons. This is why it is not surprising that in 2020 it is as entertaining as it was before. Sadly, Mafia II: Definitive Edition turns out to be a remaster that is far from reaching the heights of the original. It is not a catastrophic product at any means, but Mafia fans deserve more.- LevelUp

2020 is the perfect opportunity to relive a reconstructed classic in great detail. A legend adapted to the needs of veterans and new players that everyone should play. This is Xenoblade Chronicles as it should have been from the beginning.- LevelUp

Maneater is a game of many of many shortcomings; terrible loading screens, frightening cinematics cuts and a myriad of technical difficulties. However, the game is also extremely fun if you can overlook some of its problems.- LevelUp

Moons of Madness is a game whose parts do not end up integrating. The proposal is not bad and it has interesting moments that will provoke the worst of fears, however, its failures and limitations end up acting against it.- LevelUp

Even with its limitations and with an approach that seeks to exploit fan service, MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2 finds its way as a video game, with a good dose of fun, and that is saying a lot among so many bad games that have manipulated the passion of anime fans.- LevelUp

Final Fantasy VII Remake is the piece that knew to blend the past with the present. What Square Enix has done is cause for celebration, as it has been able to fabricate everything we imagined and the vision we had of the original more than two decades ago. Easily, Final Fantasy VII Remake can give modern makers a lecture on how a remake should be done. The adventure that started in Midgar relives again and has surprised us again.- LevelUp

Neon City Riders achieves outstanding art direction and animations that match challenging gameplay and well-designed boss battles. This indie takes inspiration from metroidvania installations, but sometimes fails to maintain the interest in exploration. However, combined with good platform puzzles and gameplay, it stands as an attractive experience.- LevelUp

If you are a fan of One Piece this is the game for you. Pirate Warriors 4 is an obvious improvement of previous iterations, sadly, with the same repetitive nature. Recommended if you are looking for action and destruction without complications, and above all, if you are a fan of One Piece.- LevelUp

Resident Evil 3 is a different monster compared to last year release. While it lost some of his tetric atmosphere, a sense or urgency is gained in the form of Nemesis, a hulkin powerhose behind your heels. However, its short campaign, lack of replayability and forgettable multiplayer, will make this year Resident Evil a hard sell.- LevelUp

Brutal from start to finish, Nioh 2 turns its outstanding combat system into a deadly dance that knows how to be cruel with defeat, but honorable with victory. It may not be far from the first game, but it was enough to refine the elements that founded the franchise to deliver one of the best titles of the closing of this generation.- LevelUp

Thanks to new customization possibilities, a lot of classic charm and many QOL improvements, Animal Crossing: New Horizons stands as the best of the franchise so far. This game builds a community sense in different levels, something that we need at present time.- LevelUp

Doom Eternal is one of the best FPS that exists today. We can even say that it far exceeds the original. However, not everything shines with the same intensity; the story is confusing and unnecessary, the platform sections are tedious, the new visual identity is generic. In general, you can notice a change of direction towards a game as a service for the wrong reasons. Doom Eternal finds himself caught in the eternal conflict of finding his own identity.- LevelUp

As an immersive experience, Draugen is a pleasant surprise for those who seek to contemplate, explore and enter the reconstruction of a story of drama and tragedy. Although its limits are evident, Red Thread Games knew how to make the most of its resources, delivering a work that promises to be the beginning of great projects for the future. Graavik is a beautiful place, the soundtrack is impeccable and the story is very interesting, it is definitely an experience you have to live.- LevelUp

Hunt: Showdown will keep you on the edge of your seat while you are taking down vile monsters and nasty players. Hunt is a well-themed competitive game that conveys various emotions while you play but offers little content. It is very likely that you will become addicted to bounty hunting, but it gets boring after a while.- LevelUp

Pokémon Sword & Shield are an experience full of bittersweet contrasts. They do several things right and Pokémon fans will have a great time exploring Galar. With that said they also have half-baked elements that feel off. I have to admit that they leave me excited for the future of the series; hopefully, Game Freak will commit to ideas like the Wild Area and Dynamax forms.- LevelUp
