Devil May Cry 5 is an excellent return to the basics and pure gameplay, but taken to a new level thanks to current technology. With a proposal full of action, fun and motivated, Capcom has succeeded in a new account and has been one of the best games of 2019.- LevelUp

A gruesome descent into hell filled with relentless challenge in every inch, The Old Hunters is a great continuation of Bloodborne, even if it ends feeling rather short and some recycled elements make it lose some luster.- LevelUp

Injustice 2 has everything a sequel should have: the return of the features that seduced the fans in the first place; new ways for gamers to submerge even deeper into the title; and an overall improvement of the visual front. If you loved Injustice, you are a fan of DC and you are looking for a medium to hard fighting experience, then Injustice 2 is perfect for you.- LevelUp

Hard, frustrating and beautiful. A game that will make you think and wonder why it feels so good to solve a puzzle. You'll hate and, at the same time, love The Witness. Brilliant.- LevelUp

Battlefield 1 is a breathtaking reinvention of the franchise, faithful to its origins and with enough innovations to redefine total warfare as we know it. It has an impactful and touching campaign, and a well designed multiplayer. In other words, Battlefield 1 has solid-enough foundations to be a competitive shooter for years to come.- LevelUp

Final Fantasy VII Remake is the piece that knew to blend the past with the present. What Square Enix has done is cause for celebration, as it has been able to fabricate everything we imagined and the vision we had of the original more than two decades ago. Easily, Final Fantasy VII Remake can give modern makers a lecture on how a remake should be done. The adventure that started in Midgar relives again and has surprised us again.- LevelUp

Once again, PlatinumGames delivers a great action game with a fun and intense combat system. That said, the real reason Astral Chain shines is thanks to the synergistic action game that feels like something fresh and with great potential.- LevelUp

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance arrives to become the definitive edition of Shin Megami Tensei V. Some of its changes may not be enough to fix the major problems of the original, but it does an incredible job of elevating it and bringing it that much closer to reaching its potential. ATLUS did it again and delivered a re-release that's worth checking out regardless of whether you finished the original game or if it's your first time playing it. Mind you: if you're an old-time Shin Megami Tensei fan, don't expect Vengance to be some sort of director's cut or a chance for the development team to deliver their original vision of the game. There's little in this new version that points in that direction, and it feels more like a 2.0 version made after hearing what critics and fans said about Shin Megami Tensei V. In other words, it's a product that improves in almost every aspect, but also doesn't redefine or revolutionize what we played in 2021.- LevelUp

Pokémon Sun and Moon brings a lot of changes to the main series. It’s easier to play and gives new users yet another chance to be part of a 20 year old franchise. Having said that, the story is dull ─Team Skull makes the anime Rocket Team look like a superior enemy─. Online multiplayer, on the other hand, is well organized but the local variant feels too simplistic. This is a typical case of "one step forward and two steps back." Some of adjustments are a success but the game also has many imperfections the developers should learn from in order to make a better Pokémon game.- LevelUp

Chained Echoes is fantastic. Not only does it capture what made 90s JRPGs special, but it elevates and modernizes it to deliver an unforgettable experience. With an engaging narrative, attractive characters, a well-built world, and a combat system full of good ideas, it has become one of the best JRPGs I've played in over a decade. Chained Echoes didn't copy old JRPGs, it understood them to create something that lives up to their legacy.- LevelUp

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is fast, exciting, hard, satisfying, fun, beautiful and the perfect return for a franchise so legendary. It maintains the essence of the original game and also adds the perfect amount of modernity to make it stand out. It’s the full package, and one the best action-adventure games of 2025.- LevelUp

Pikmin 4 captures the essence of the franchise, even if it doesn't redefine the gaming landscape. While it doesn't revolutionize gaming, it delivers the familiar real-time strategic gameplay and introduces interesting changes. The open philosophy in level design and beautiful atmosphere will immerse players in a miniature world. Though it may be too easy and lacks an intriguing story, Pikmin 4 is a solid addition to the series.- LevelUp

Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy look better than ever. Playing them at 60 frames per second is a treat and the basic implementation of the DualSense haptics On the other hand, these details are perhaps insufficient to justify another ride through the world of Uncharted. That's not to mention the fact that this is a paid product and not a free upgrade. That said, it is undeniable that this is the best version of 2 great jewels of the Naughty Dog catalog.- LevelUp

Gran Turismo 7 is a great racing game. It's clear that Polyphony Digital learned from the missteps of Gran Turismo Sport to deliver a game that, in conjunction with being an extremely solid experience, is the return to its roots that fans were hoping for. While it's certainly not an arcade experience, it does enough to be approachable for those who are not experts but want a deep racing game with a lot of content.- LevelUp

Sea of Stars might not quite reach the legendary status of classics like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI, but it's undeniably a stunning game that every genre lover should dive into. It's an adventure that's pure joy because it gets what makes JRPGs so darn captivating for decades. What really matters about Sea of Stars is that it's nailed that magical vibe from a bygone era that might never come back. Let Sea of Stars cast its spell on you, and let those waves of nostalgia wash right over you. You won't regret it.- LevelUp

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 are timeless classics that defined 3D platforming, now back on Switch with native support for both docked and handheld play. While the gameplay and level design remain stellar, the remaster offers only minor improvements and a steep $70 price that may leave longtime fans questioning Nintendo’s approach. For newcomers, however, these are still essential Mario adventures.- LevelUp

With 460 cars and 26 tracks, Forza Motorsport 6 brings the big guns to "the best simulation game of the year" competition. Rain is the newest addition to the series, and it's great. You have double the cars than Forza 5 and a lot more tracks, but sadly, the simulation is almost the same.- LevelUp

An excellent follow-up to its memorable predecessor, Fire Emblem Fates offers accessibility for the newcomer and strategic depth to the veteran in any of its versions and it's a remarkable and flawlessly executed sequel that sets the bar very high for future releases of the franchise; however, newbies must beware from the infernal difficulty of the Conquest version, which is relentless and unforgiving, only fit for the seasoned enthusiast.- LevelUp

Final Bar is an encore for Final Fantasy fans. Its control has successfully transitioned from touchscreen to traditional control and maintains a good level of difficulty. Titanfall 2 comes across as a beefier experience overall. The multiplayer mode hits the mark almost on every level while addressing most of the complaints gamers had with the original game. Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster is an inconsistent work. Graphically, it has some nice effects, but also some ugly elements, the most obvious one is the typography. It is a remake that removes important things from the original game and adopts unnecessary new features. It's not the best version of the game, but it's not the worst either.- LevelUp
