When N + was released in 2008, it was very well received because of the cruel, yet fair difficulty. The concept is still intact in the sequel: extremely hard micro courses that demands nothing but perfection from the player. Over 2,000 tracks are available which is an impressive amount, however this is also the games biggest problem. The sense of repetition is palpable and it's relatively easy to get bored. The user-generated content show a creativity that makes it really easy to return. Again and again.- Level7.nu

The Lost Valley fails to deliver groundbreaking gameplay for those already familiar with the series. While the terraforming aspect is a fun addition on its own, it should not be at the expense of the defining elements of the series. The life of a farmer is just not compelling this time around.- Level7.nu

Just like its predecessor, MotoGP 15 is a racing simulator that is both fun and demanding. The game is primarily aimed at fans of the sport, but thanks to plenty of adjustment options even beginners can appreciate the racing. Unfortunately, the exact same things can be said about last year's edition and it is hard to find any noteworthy additions in this year’s version.- Level7.nu

Not A Hero is direct, fiery and wonderfully entertaining. Without a doubt one of this year's best action games.- Level7.nu

A great experience and one that stays true to the Magicka franchise. Not a lot has happened since last time though, and some minor issues keep the game from reaching the same levels as the original.- Level7.nu

In the first couple of hours Until Dawn is a really intensive horror game, that most certainly will scare the hell out of you. Unfortunately the story isn’t sufficiently well written to hold up in the almost 7 hours it takes to finish the game. And yes, after a while the jump scares feels a bit annoying.- Level7.nu

Gears of War is, pun intended, the Ultimate way to experience the first entry in this stellar saga. It’s brilliant as always gameplay wise, and the graphical upgrades takes the experience to the next level. That said, if you don’t care for multiplayer the rest of the content will make you wish for a Gears of War: Marcus Phoenix Collection.- Level7.nu

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a slow yet thrilling adventure set in a small town whose population has disappeared. The player can not do much else than walk and listen, but thanks to the magnificent scenery it is easy to be drawn in to the mystery. Even so, a descent amount of patience is recommended to cope with the slow pace.- Level7.nu

Journey is a unique experience that has not aged at all since it was originally released on Playstation 3. On the contrary, the improved graphics makes the experience even more immersive. This is the closest we have come to the expression ”to play a painting”.- Level7.nu

Splatoon is a colorful and fun addition to the action genre, that managed to entertain both the hardcore and the casual gamer. The online solution may need some work, but in any other way this is one of the best game for the Wii U.- Level7.nu

Convoy offers an overall enjoyable experience in the vein of FTL with similar exploration and battle systems. With a lesser budget it is understandably not as deep and lacks in presentation. The best moments are found among the more complex battles. Hopefully future expansions could add some more variation to the gameplay and the as of now repetitive dialogues.- Level7.nu

Puzzle and Dragons Z is an interesting puzzle game with a touch of roleplaying and strategy. It's equally challenging as it is repetitive since it lacks any of the limits from the mobile game. With two games in one it's still good value and a welcome addition to the puzzle game library on the format.- Level7.nu

Axiom Verge is an action- and exploration sidescroller that pays homage to the classic 2D Metroid-games. Being a one-man project, the scope and presentation is very impressive. Only a few issues with the pacing and mechanics keep Axiom Verge away from the very top scores.- Level7.nu

Codename: S.T.E.A.M is an ambitious take on the strategy genre. A striking visual style and nice voice acting make it stand out from the crowd, but the enemy design leaves a lot to be desired. Sadly, battles also tend to drag out since the most effective way to play is to tackle objectives very slowly, meaning there is little room for meaningful strategic decisions.- Level7.nu

Shovel Knight is an action filled side scrolling adventure that have a lot in common with challenging classics like Mega Man and Duck Tales. There are some badly designed levels and too many trial and error moments, but for the most part Shovel Knight is a good reminder that games were a bit more rewarding back in the days.- Level7.nu

Tropico 5 is a well-made strategy game filled with humor. The gameplay works ok with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse, although some menus are unnecessarily cumbersome. The genre's true peaks are still found on the PC, but Tropico is a good choice if you want to play a more laid back yet challenging strategy game on your TV.- Level7.nu

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the first sin is a package that includes far more than expected. Not only do we get one of the best game from last gen, it’s in all ways an improvement over the original version. A must-play for those who never have played Dark Souls 2 before.- Level7.nu

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood does not offer any real surprises, but build on the mostly successful concept of its predecessor. This means great entertainment in the form of brutal action, beautiful one-liners and a long campaign for the price.- Level7.nu

The Witcher 3 is one of the most hyped games this spring, but it's also one of the best. CD Project Red has managed to build a huge world that is both interesting and entertaining to explore. Add to that a well-crafted combat system and good opportunities to customize your character.- Level7.nu

Project Cars is not the most authentic racing game in history, but it's a very well made mix between arcade racing and simulation. A slightly inadequate AI and varying quality of the cars hold it back slightly, but Project Cars is still one of the best racing games in recent years.- Level7.nu

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China makes an attempt to renew the franchise, unfortunately it fails. Neither the stealth- or action sequences are particularly well-made and neither is the level design. To appreciate this you need to be a huge fan of the series.- Level7.nu

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection contains what we can expect from a collection of this kind. Graphically it is perhaps difficult to see much difference but it's on the other side really welcome that it's now possible to play four players splitscreen co-op. If you have not played Borderlands 2 or Borderlands: The Pre-sequel before and is looking for a good multiplayer experience it's not much to hesitate on.- Level7.nu

Broken Age is a polished and charming addition to a forgotten genre. Even though the puzzles and story could have been a bit better, especially during the second part of the game, the stunning environments and delightful characters makes it a journey well worth taking. Just do not expect any revolutionary elements.- Level7.nu

State of Decay could be the ultimate zombie experience and in some ways it actually is. Unfortunately a ton of of technical issues and game-breaking bugs hampers the experience a great deal. It is a shame that the developer did not even try to fix the shortcomings that the Xbox 360 version suffered from.- Level7.nu

Xenoblade Chronicles is injected with new life as it is turned into a portable game. It lacks content updates but it is still a remarkable experience. The new 3DS might seem like a tight fit for the large adventure, but the addition of the c-stick makes it effortless to control.- Level7.nu

Ride is a racing game filled with passion. There is plenty of well-made bikes to try out and they are a joy to take around the track. Unfortunately the opponents behave like mindless robots, and the terrible loading times wrecks the immersion. Though it does not prevent Ride from being one of the best motorcycle games in recent years, even though there are plenty of room for improvements.- Level7.nu
