Despite several improvements the 20th anniversary edition of the classic adventure feels overall as a dated experience. The higher resolution backgrounds still capture the mystic New Orleans-feeling that defined the original, while for example the facial animations are simply awkward. There are a few goodies for fans of the original and the story still holds up pretty well.- Level7.nu

Advanced Warfare is one of the most interesting games in the series so far, mostly thanks to a futuristic theme and Titanfall-inspired mechanics. Unfortunately the game feels a bit unpolished when it comes to online battles and because of that it never reaches its full potential.- Level7.nu

Lords of the Fallen succeeds in what it sets out to be. The influences from the Souls-series are obvious and frequent but with a few own tweaks. However, the game world is far too claustrophobic and the story fails to entertain.- Level7.nu

Bayonetta 2 contains, just like its predecessor, too much old fashioned sexism. It's a pity because the intensity and variety in this game is remarkable and all stages compete to be the most absurd. Perhaps the sequel is easier and hopefully that will attract more players. If they're able to ignore the sexism, that is.- Level7.nu

Sunset Overdrive is a colorful adventure that offers great and fun combat against a crazy amount of enemies. Unfortunately many of the missions feel like a chore, and both the city and especially the survivors are uninteresting. Despite the flaws Sunset Overdrive is still a good game that entertains while it lasts, but it isn’t a very memorable experience.- Level7.nu

The Evil Within returns to the horror genres roots and becomes a rather surprising breath of fresh air of action in a horror climate where the players are usually mostly helpless. The game may be more cozy spooky than terrifying but the problem lies more in its graphical shortcomings and the flat story. Likewise Shinji Mikami is still a better game designer than most even when he's not bringing his best.- Level7.nu

On the court NBA 2K15 delivers an engrossing and more realistic game than any other sports game out on the market. Scoring baskets, dribbling and even the playing the defense feels rewarding and challenging. However the online experience is uneven and the lack of a true training mode is very unfortunate.- Level7.nu

The combination of fighting and music can seem strange at first, but it actually works pretty well. Unfortunately both the fighting system and the music selection isn’t good enough. Still it is a decent game for those who want to try something new.- Level7.nu

Skylanders: Trap Team offers a varied experience with just the right amount of depth in the gameplay to appeal to younger kids. Grown-ups will probably get more out of the experience in the company of kids. But then they will find themselves having so much fun that they may even forget how crazy expensive the game is.- Level7.nu

With fantastic graphics, a great atmosphere and a truly terrifying AI, Alien: Isolation succeeds is nearly everything it sets out to be. Apart from a somewhat slightly weaker second half Alien: Isolation remains a unique and brilliant experience that no fan of the survival-horror genre should miss.- Level7.nu

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes improves on the problems of the last game but still has a bit to go. The concept is as genius as ever with the toy box mode as it's biggest source of value and fun. Too bad you have to play the lazy campaign to unlock stuff for it.- Level7.nu

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor remixes influences from both the Batman: Arkham and Assassin's Creed-series together with it's own ideas and the result is the best Lord of the Rings game so far. The story may not carry all the way but this is a violent, intelligent and varied action game that rewards creativity and strategy from the player.- Level7.nu

Where the previous FIFA installments have been focused on slower paced football and more physical play, FIFA 15 has taken a step back towards a more arcade-style gameplay as well as improved the goalies dramatically. There are no doubts that FIFA 15 is a beautiful and entertaining game however the question is if EA knows in what direction they want their beloved series to go.- Level7.nu

Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS succeeds in the art of taking the best elements from the previous installments and create a game that is just as good for the casual player as the hardcore gamer. The only real limitation comes in the form of the controls and smaller screen, but on the other hand, we have a portable Smash Bros now.- Level7.nu

Fantasy Life tries to bite of more than it can manage to chew. After a positive start and a fun setting where ordinary jobs is as important as a warrior and mage the game gets repetitive and dull. Fantasy Life is to slow and shallow to be an epic adventure in the style of Final Fantasy, yet to rush in tempo to achieve the same state of mindfulness as Animal Crossing. In the end it's a pleasant but forgettable experience.- Level7.nu

After a slow start Driveclub really opens things up and the feeling of ”just one more time” is never far away. Evolution Studios has managed to make a game that is as fun as it is good looking. Unfortunately, the lack of content is a bit disturbing.- Level7.nu

Forza Horizon 2 offers intense and over the top racing in a fully open world. In one moment you are driving along a beautiful coastal road, and a few minutes later you are crashing through a vineyard with debris flying everywhere. Unfortunately the off-road racing leaves a lot to be desired and lacks polish. But when you are on the road, Forza Horizon 2 is one of the most entertaining racing experiences ever made.- Level7.nu

The Sims 4 manages to be both the worst and the best installment in the series so far. It’s lacking content and has a fair amount of glitches and bugs. But the new feeling mechanics works really well, and opens up a new dimension that The Sims never have been close to before. In the end, the positive parts are the ones that are most noticeable.- Level7.nu

Hyrule Warriors mixes Dynasty Warriors with The Legend of Zelda and the result is a rather flirtatious game of fan service. But it's all in good fun since Hyrule Warriors also remembers to be a fun game with varied forms of action and plenty to do.- Level7.nu

NHL 15 is a promising but lacking premiere on the new consoles. Basic mechanics work great and the new physics engine improves the shooting and skating quite a bit. Unfortunately there isn’t much more to do than shoot and skate since most of the in-depth content is missing. What isn’t missing though is odd bugs and lousy defensive play. NHL 15 is still a good game, but it should have been better.- Level7.nu

With a low entry price but very few songs included Dance Central tries a new way to find success. Just as the previous Dance Central games the core gameplay in Spotlight shines, even though it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. If you want a good Kinect game, this is the one to get.- Level7.nu

With fire breathing dragons and breathtaking views Crimson Dragon could be an intense and unique experience. But it isn’t. Instead it’s a dull and ugly adventure that doesn’t take advantage of the premises of the genre nor the dragons.- Level7.nu

The zombie filled Walking Dead series works surprisingly well as a pinball table. The presentation is actually so good it might send shills down your spine. Another well-made table from Zen Studios, although the art and details on the table make it a bit cluttered.- Level7.nu

The Wii U version of Steamworld Dig is the same game that we have seen on pretty much every other console. It offers the same addictive gameplay, has charming graphics and is just long enough. At the same time it’s a little bit shallow and can be pretty repetitive after a while.- Level7.nu

Instead of coming up with anything interesting and worthwhile, Destiny takes mechanics from better games and grinds them to a halt in an incredibly repetitive and monotonous experience. The PvP is all right and the presentation may be gorgeous, but the pretty surface only serves to remind us of the emptiness inside.- Level7.nu

Hohokum is a pretty odd experience, where traditional game mechanics is hard to find. What’s left is a game free from tutorials and instructions, with a beautiful world where nothing feels forced. Thanks to that both the hardcore player and the beginner can find something here.- Level7.nu

Surgeon Simulator is a gross and hilarious lesson on how not to perform a surgery. Unfortunately the, deliberately, bad controls make the game more of a chore than fun. It’s still a somewhat entertaining experience when playing with friends.- Level7.nu
