For every great feature in the game it's a downside. Upgrading skills is nice, but not when it takes 30 repetitive street missions to buy the next Swing Speed. But most of all the length of the game is the biggest disappointment. A swift 8 hours of your time you can have it beat.- Kombo

The biggest downfall is the racing itself. Aside from Quick Race, you have to do more solo practice laps than I cared to do. I wanted to fight for position and not try and constantly beat my old time by me being the only car on the track. NHL 2K10 tries to wear way too many hats for its own good. At most moments it tries to be a party hockey game, and if it stuck to this principle throughout and adopted fast paced, arcade style hockey then it may have had a chance to succeed. But then their attempt at realism rears its nasty head and the horrific, slow and boring gameplay gets in the way of any party you'll try to throw down.- Kombo
