A shooter which genuinely does stand out from the crowd with distinction ' not an easy accomplishment for a genre which is flooded with clones and has-beens.
-
The multiplayer experience isn't so killer, however, and it's a shame because it's just brimming with potential.
-
I found it to be rewarding and full of replay interest. I was often frustrated to point of walking away from movement "errors," but I soon returned to the glowing world to try again.

Official Xbox MagazineWith the single-player game so clearly in focus, it's disappointing that it plods along so unevenly, and at times, progress feels like you're wading through molasses rather than zipping through the ether. [Jan 2005, p.78]
-
The leveling up with build points is interesting, but the weapons, enemies, environments and overall premise of the game aren't enough to encourage you to finish it.
-
We've used the word a few times during the review, but "chore" probably sums up TRON 2.0 if we were to plunge to our most uncharitable.
-
The combination of uninspiring sound, graphic and game design all add up to a title that is best left sitting on a shelf as a message to the game's developer and publisher that gamers will not buy sub-par products.
