While it may not reach the Olympic heights of its contemporaries, Have a Nice Death gets remarkably close. Despite a few hurdles in level design and lacking the replayability of others in the genre, it has incredibly tight gameplay with plenty of potential alongside an immensely charming story and cast of characters. If you like roguelikes then Have a Nice Death is simply to die for.

Session: Skate Sim's port to Nintendo Switch was an ambitious project, which took some hits in the graphics department. While I won't be giving up my PlayStation Session for Switch, the game still holds up and retains the essence of the game. The try, try, try again gameplay remains, as does the accurate control scheme used to perform tricks, making this the ideal game for skaters whose primary console is the Nintendo Switch, or want to carry the skateboard sim in their pocket.

For those who enjoy an old skool FPS and want a great time, this can’t be recommended highly enough. Bounding Box have nailed that run & gun feeling with excellent graphic & audio presentation throughout, accompanied by a cathartic soundtrack which propels you through an excellent campaign full of well-designed set pieces. This features some of the best gameplay since DOOM(2016) and for an indie title, that is high praise. Get it played.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition is the best way to experience your adventure on Halcyon. For new players who haven’t touched the game, there’s a good time to be had. A solid storyline, fun combat, and freely building your character's proficiencies. For veterans, the only real draws are increased character customisation and a better looking Halcyon. Even then, it's unlikely that there would be much to do after completing the game. It’s not the strong draw to bring you back that it could have been.

Fire Emblem Engage is a entertaining fun entry in the long running FE series. It will keep you hooked with its silly atmosphere and addicting gameplay. If you have ever wanted to play the video game version of an Saturday morning anime cartoon then pick it up right away! It is one of the most "Engaging" Strategy RPGs out there with a beautiful style. A great celebration of the series and a love letter to fans of any FE era.

There is frankly no getting away from it. Pizza Tower is a fantastic platformer sporting some great levels, rock-solid gameplay, an amazing soundtrack, and brilliant animation. It quite possibly will be one of the best indie titles to release this year. And could be in the running for game of the year. However, as good as it is it can be repetitive at times and it could be too difficult for some.

This game is well made. It has the storylines and concepts down pat. Kimono Cats knew where they wanted to go throughout the game and how to lead the player. The graphics are sweet and warm. Makes for an excellent match for the whole family. Plus, it can be very addicting. You could easily find yourself spending hours playing it in a single day, trying to collect the items for your village in the game.

Rayman Mini gets a solid pat on the back for living up to the vibe and aura of what a Rayman game should be. You can't help but smile when you play a game like this. Very chill and calm type of video game experience. Highly recommend it for those that want to escape, and enjoy a world filled with wonder and colorful imagery. This game is fun for a seasoned veteran of the series, or one just discovering the game.

Although No Longer Home offers an emotionally reflective narrative that will resonate with it's players, I personally feel there were areas which could have been explored further. The game is passionately written with relatable characters, yet the ending felt abrupt and as though I was left waiting for more. Overall though, the laid-back gameplay and simple controls make for a chilled couple of hours, and is a strong first game with clever ideas from developers Humble Grove.

After beating Little Witch Nobeta, my main thought was that I wanted more. More spells, more environments, more characters, more opportunities to customize Nobeta. It's always a good sign when a game leaves you wanting more. I feel like this could be the foundation for an awesome sequel if Pupaya Games sees fit to make one. There is definitely room for a sequel, especially with everything revealed in the lore entries. But as is, Nobeta is a cute and charming good time that is sure to delight.

Total War: Warhammer III Champions of Chaos is a totally decent DLC. Whilst it doesn't set the world on fire nor shake things up too much it is fun for what it is. Fans will find a cool new challenge to sink their teeth into. However, it is not a "Must Have" by any means. As what it expands upon is fairly minimal. And features a range of new units that I believe should have been in the base title.

BROK the InvestiGator is a wonderful mix of brain and brawn that combines two unlike genres into a fun game like no other. The voice acting and the art style were both executed well and I had a blast playing such an impressive game. Although the puzzles and plot holes can bring the overall experience down a bit, I'll happily grab my magnifying glass regardless and prepare for many more hours ahead with Brok and Graff.

Aka's concept is one to remember. The idea of a red panda pondering and moving forward from his past is certainly unique. We peer into the little guy's history and learn about the last moments he spent with his loved ones. It’s a game that’s sure to pull at your heartstrings and put you at ease, though I can’t help thinking about how much better it could be.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes stands strong as a dynamic take on the world of Three Houses however the repetitive gameplay and padded stories leave a challenge to even complete the game without using broken characters. The visuals can be very pleasing but the environments always feel the exact same. This also goes for the character interactions, which are dry as they will often repeat dialogue or say things unrelated to the story. Overall a fun interesting time is still to be had but only in short bursts. Fans of Three Houses will love this game but others will be left confused and bored.

Jetpack Joyride 2 is a great and wonderful addition to any gamer's collection. The concept is solid, and the gameplay is a blast to enjoy by those that decide to give this video game a try. Once the player initially gets the hang of it, Jetpack Joyride 2 will fly on by with complete addiction. If you haven't tried this game, then you should.

Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society is a game that demands a large time investment in learning the systems and experimenting in dungeons. It’s not an easy game to master, and you will need large amounts of patience to wade through the failures. But if you stick it out, there’s an enjoyable story to experience, and the thrill of discovering new paths on your own. You can also build your puppet team any way you want, and have the flexibility to choose your own combat style.

Dread Templar does a solid job of providing a game that feels like it belongs in the 90's. The shooting is great and there are plenty of guns and enemies. There are a lot of levels filled to the brim with secrets to hunt down. There are plenty of upgrades to find and augment your playstyle with. The aesthetic is dark and grim. Everything gels together nicely. But by trying too hard to replicate a 90's shooter, Dread Templar misses out on a few modern mechanics that would've really helped the gameplay.

Arcaxer is an awesome VR journey with unified aesthetics and a fully fleshed out campaign. The aforementioned story content and post game, along with mechanics that shine and are unique in VR, makes this title worth adding to VR libraries, especially those who are fans of flat screen JRPGS. Additionally, updates are still rolling out for the title, offering new areas, spells, and enemies to conquer. The downsides include an overly linear story that teases dialogue options, but offer no branching paths.

At the end of the day, NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition pretty much satisfies the itch of what a basketball fan wants in a video game. The flow between the different elements of the game is consistent with one another, and the game tries not to lose anyone along the way. If you are a sports fan, a basketball fan, or especially an NBA fan...I'd give this one at least a single run-through.

Blood Bowl 3 is a wonderfully charming game that is even more fun to play. Even so, the game falls short with it's numerous bugs and missing features. Unless you're playing offline, the microtransactions and server issues are constantly apparent and getting in your way. If you're looking for a game solely for offline play, Blood Bowl 3 may be for you. Otherwise, you probably want to skip it. Hopefully, with a few updates, Blood Bowl 3 will be as great as it can be.

The King’s Dilemma: Chronicles is an engaging narrative game with one of the better branching narratives in gaming. The story is well written and enjoyable to engage with, whether you want to be good, evil or somewhere in-between. Whilst the politics part of the gameplay feels underutilised, the dilemmas and intrigue will keep gamers playing, especially with so much replayability. If you think the game looks interesting, then you’ll most likely have a great time with it, especially with the price being so low.

A tragic case of wasted potential, Dust & Neon renders its formidable run-and-gun mechanics powerless with repetitive missions, trivial upgrades, and a nonsensical difficulty curve. The simple satisfaction of blasting anything that moves might keep some players happy for a while, but ultimately this one would be hard to recommend at even a quarter of its current asking price.

SokoChess White is a puzzle game about moving chess pieces so they are where they are supposed to be. The game is simple, and is straightforward to understand. This is a package with all its parts commingntogether well to be a cute distraction. Excpet the music does not really comtogether even though the rest works well.

Barbaria VR has a strong core that will appeal to fitness enthusiasts and medieval combat/rts enjoyers at the casual level. Given the unique nature of the game, it is worth adding to most VR libraries; and a must buy for those who have enjoyed titles such as "dungeon master' and 'Clash of Clans' as well as 'Gorn'. However, if graphics, story, and sound design are important to the player, one should perhaps wait for a sale or further development of the title. With light promises of further content, it is at least worth keeping an eye on. [Early Access Provisional Score = 60]

I knew nothing about Ninja JaJaMaru going in, but I came out pleasantly surprised. It's a simple and solidly built 8-bit throwback with a lot of content for retro fanatics to sink their teeth into. It might be a bit too simple for some people's tastes, but if you want dumb fun ninja action, than this is a strong recommendation. If JaJamaru ever makes another return, I will be interested to see it, whatever form that might take.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has its heart in the right place. It looks, feels, and sounds like Ghostbusters, and with some friends, you can relive the days of playing pretend Ghostbusters. However, it doesn't do much with its gameplay formula beyond the bare minimum. It's great in short bursts, but wears thin after several matches.

Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! is an excellent, family-friendly game that tries hard not to become dull and succeeds. The presentation is smooth and logical. The pacing of the video game is nicely done. Where there are twists and turns, and different situations, the player will encounter throughout their path to greatness. Makes for a great game to pass the time, or to pick it up on the go whenever you feel the itch to play it.

Wanted: Dead is a game not for everyone. A lot of modern players will hate their time with this title, but if you have a fondness for that old-school challenge and love cutting people into Shish Kabob, you'll really like this game. However, even if you're in that camp, you should wait for a sale, as the game's not worth the $60 price tag with only five stages. Plus, other elements, like no additional melee weapons and poor performance at times, do drag the game down a bit.
