Vampire The Masquerade: Swansong offers a captivating story with some truly rewarding moments when you figure out the more difficult and obtuse puzzles. The story and lore holds the game together, as without it the game could be quite boring. It's a visually strong game with some flair to the cinematography. It's certainly not for everyone, as the game has no combat and is driven almost entirely by reading and dialogue. However it's sure to be enjoyed by fans of investigative storytelling.- KeenGamer

Dordogne is the perfect game to play in the summer. It may only be a few hours long, but it's long enough to leave an impression on you, one that'll have you feeling reflective and nostalgic yourself. The unique art style and wistful music really brings this game to life, and the immersive and hands-on gameplay stops this game from being just an interactive movie with an intriguing story. All-in-all, if you're looking for a game with a good story, engaging gameplay, gorgeous graphics and music, then Dordogne is exactly what you're looking for.- KeenGamer

If there is only a game that's worth playing in this year, it would be Diablo IV. There's a lot to do, a lot to explore whether its the game's world or its skill and Paragon tree combinations, lots of monsters to slay and loot their items, and so much more. It might be priced steeply, but once you understand the core fundamentals of the game, it's without a doubt worth the investment.- KeenGamer

Boomer shooters from indie developers have been quite successful lately and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun might be just what the genre needed right now. This throwback FPS has you mowing down countless hordes of Chaos cultists, mutants, and marines alike with a spectacular arsenal of weapons from the grimdark universe. It's the perfect game for fans of the franchise and those seeking an adrenaline-fueled journey through the grim future.- KeenGamer

Darkest Dungeon II is a game that no one needed. The impact of the original Darkest Dungeon is still palpable and still holds to this day, but Red Hook set out to take the soul and essence of the original game, and polish it and polish it until they came up with this beauty of a game. The changes in gameplay mechanics are enough to make it feel more like a different game with the same core, rather than an actual sequel, and it's unfortunately fighting against its bigger brother, but Darkest Dungeon II brings enough to the fight to make it a compelling and well-worth experience for grim, Lovecraftian Roguelite fans.- KeenGamer

Although I'd like to see Capcom go further in their story modes by adding a more consistent story, Street Fighter 6 is an absolute blast and a perfect jumping point for those looking to get into the fighting genre. The inclusion of the Drive Gauge Bar adds plenty of new strategy beyond just landing combos and the amount of content packed inside this game to help players get better is unrivaled. Aided by energetic visuals and a confidence in almost all aspects, Capcom has once again kept their winning streak going.- KeenGamer

Although at times frustrating, just like any other skate title, perseverance pays off. If you can look past the occasionally clumsy controls and enjoy the novelty then you will find a lot to enjoy in skateBIRD, whether that be dressing various species of bird, beak grabs or the inventive skateparks. All of this can be enjoyed while skatin' and raven to different tracks.- KeenGamer

Amnesia: The Bunker is a strong addition to the legendary franchise. The gameplay is at it's best, and the audio and visuals bring the claustrophobic setting to life. The adaptations to the formula make it stand out in the series, with well-tuned and executed abilities added to the player without undermining the scares. However story-wise the game falls short of the highs of it's predeccessors, but not by much. Whilst it has it's flaws, The Bunker shines as a potential new dawn for the series with it's creative changes.- KeenGamer

Everdream Valley is not just a great farming game, but just a great game in general. It's not perfect, due to the issues with lagging and bugs that I've had, but otherwise I've had a genuinely good time playing this game. I feel this game is suitable for all ages, whether you're a child or an adult. It's not babyish to put older players off, yet it's easy enough for a child to play and enjoy. Even if farming games aren't really your thing, you should really consider giving Everdream Valley a go. You really will feel like you've escaped to the farm of your dreams.- KeenGamer

Killer Frequency is a cheesy homage to the 80s slasher genre. You will feel the tension rise with the stakes as it is down to you to solve puzzles and save lives. While there are a few instances of flawed solutions, problem solving is genuinely rewarding as each success results in a thwarted murder. Encompassing the 80's vibe through its story, stylised graphics and electronic audio design, Killer Frequency will leave you laughing with the canned laughter on your soundboard, then feeling guilty for it straight after.- KeenGamer

This is a must play for any fan of retro FPS titles. Every inch of this game is dripping with action and gore, blowing monsters apart has never felt better. And with a heavy metal OST to top things off, Nightmare Reaper is a high watermark for the retro FPS genre. If the story was as good as the gameplay, this would have been nearly perfect, but if you're the sort of person that doesn't care about story, than Nightmare Reaper is a wonderful time.- KeenGamer

Homebody is a solid enough experience that works better for puzzle fans than horror fans. The time loop aspect of the game degrades the limited scares to little more than an inconvenience, leaving a dynamic puzzle game that tests your mind and provides the satisfying reward of solving them. This game is a character study at heart, and provides a unique look inside the mind of an introvert racked with anxiety in an interesting way, though doesn't capitalize on all the potential that came with it.- KeenGamer

Star Trek Resurgence feels like an episode of Star Trek, for better or worse. I feel like the character models should move more fluidly, react more naturally if I'm going to be staring at them so much. The game somehow has a way of railroading me while still leaving me uncertain of what it wants me to do. In the end, however, I found it fun. It's slow and deliberate, but that's what works for this franchise. I'm a Star Trek fan and this made me feel like I was part of the story. If you're not fan, this might not be the game for you, but if you wear pointy ears, know what the Picard Maneuver is, and speak conversational Klingon, give it a shot.- KeenGamer

I'm pretty sure this is the third game in a row that I've covered that has a post-apocalyptic setting, and of them all, Miasma Chronicles' world is by far the most interesting. Seeing classic American iconography all twisted and wrong is something that always catches my eye, and Miasma Chronicles delivers on that front. A must-buy for fans of XCOM and tactics games in general.- KeenGamer

System Shock is an iconic game with much influence that still resonates. But the game did not age well with how its combat works. With the remake, we can see how, beneath that clunky oldness of the original, there is a great game which has ideas and themes which still resonate strongly. The freedom System Shock offers its players the to discover and play it along with its stellar exploration, voice acting and storytelling is worth the time.- KeenGamer

No One Lives Under the Lighthouse is a short but sweet experience dripping with atmosphere and dread. The sound design and graphics work well together to help you experience something unnerving as you play as a wicker. There are some moments that throw off the game as the controls become misfire. But if you're looking for a game that reminds you of the PlayStation 1 days, then think of picking this No One Lives Under the Lighthouse up.- KeenGamer

After Us succeeds in delivering a unique and stylish platform experience. While the mechanics are simple, you are challenged to use them in different ways throughout the 12 hour(ish) experience, although sometimes depth perception may cause an aggravating amount of falls. Personally, the story was interesting but lacked the depth needed to feel the emotions which were conveyed on screen. This being said, After Us is a visually stunning game, containing a variety of interesting art designs being followed by the soothing, sometimes eerie soundtrack.- KeenGamer

Wee Tanks! is a fun and simple game from Studio Kit. It has three modes of play and a Map Editor. The gameplay is mainly based on shooting and dodging, with the ability to bounce bullets off walls and destroy the environment. All these mechanics increase the chaos, and it just makes the game fun without being overwhelming. But with its simple graphics and gameplay, the game manages to keep the chaos in control.- KeenGamer

Batboy attempts to mimic the success of other retro-styled action platformers like Shovel Knight, The Messenger, and Shantae. Unfortunately, it is a flawed game that is marred by numerous game breaking technical bugs, wildly sporadic difficulty, and uneven mechanics. There are elements of a good game here, and some may be able to look past its problems. However, if you are looking for a polished and satisfying adventure, it is look elsewhere.- KeenGamer

Outlive has its pros and cons but was at the end a reasonably enjoyable horror experience. The story was lacklustre and in need of more development, and there were some minor problems with the gameplay, but it succeeded in being a bite size horror that gets your palms sweaty. Outlive walks the well trodden road of modern horror games. It's a formula that works, and it works pretty well here. Its struggle will be distinguishing itself from similar games with bigger names and teams like Outlast.- KeenGamer

Unwording is an adventure and spelling game that tries to showcase depression in the life of an average individual. The game is based on how one perceives it and has a unique way of saying this. The change of perspective is what the game shows and how one turns their life. This mechanics of showing the perspective is what carries the game. And its short length does not overstay its welcome.- KeenGamer

Legendary Tales is a multiplayer VR ARPG that has an incredibly promising base. For fans of dungeon crawlers, Diablo, and first person melee combat games, Legendary Tales is a must-buy for Steam VR. Unfortunately, one can not look past the shortcomings as well -- Legendary Tales suffers from lack of variety in enemies and design. Hopefully the promised updates will rectify these issues.- KeenGamer

Mia and the Dragon Princess is an entertaining FMV game with branching storylines and great action sequences. Other than those strengths, nothing else stands out as the story isn’t developed enough for an impact. Railroading forces the story to go in certain directions, removing the choices that most players are making. While the story itself is decent, playing to unlock all the scenes peels away the exterior to show you the flaws.- KeenGamer

Wartales provides many great things and mechanics to differentiate it from other games within the genre. From its wonderful battles, the vibrant world, and the fantastic Camping system, Wartales manages to shine as a strong contender. Although there are some negatives, like resource problems and confusing battle mechanics, Wartales is a solid entry for those who seek to scratch their RPG itch.- KeenGamer

KILLBUG is a simple FPS arcade game where the only goal is to get the highest score by killing bugs with one gun and one melee attack while moving fluidly with double jumps and wall running. The game offers no story or progression system, but the enemy variety keeps the gameplay interesting. Scoring is the only reason to keep playing, and the retro blocky graphics and pounding music are competent. Overall, the game offers around 2 to 3 hours of fun, with no other goals or variation.- KeenGamer

Full Metal Sergeant gives you an interesting roguelike experience with a training simulator. You must train your soldiers to fight against enemies who get progressively stronger the deeper you go. The game is short, and sometimes not being able to retain your experienced veterans doesn’t make much sense. But there is a solid training simulation experience if you stick around, and it can provide some fun for a few hours.- KeenGamer

Tin Hearts is a fun and touching narrative puzzle game. The puzzles are creative and challenging (and a little long), while the story is engrossing without getting in the way of the puzzles. The steampunk art direction and Victorian setting draw you in to the world, story, and the gameplay even more. A lack of graphical polish and performance issues keep this otherwise great game from being amazing.- KeenGamer

Roots of Pacha expertly builds upon foundations from other farming and life sim games while adding its own creative ideas in the process. The fun minigames and quality of life improvements make it a joy to play, and the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for unwinding. Along with the beautiful artwork and music, it's easy to spend hours building out your farm, exploring the caves, or improving your clan relationships.- KeenGamer

Ravenlok is a game I desperately wanted to love but, in my short time with it, so many obstacles made that impossible. A fantastical world of whimsy and fantasy is unfortunately betrayed by the dull rendition of the Wonderland story and the empty characters who dwell within it. By far the biggest weakness, though, is that, in a desire to be more approachable, the combat is a spammy mess without depth, challenge or complexity and it taints the package. While Ravenlok may be beautiful it's only skin-deep and doesn't hide the strained, weak game below.- KeenGamer

Strayed Lights is a visually stunning game, displaying a highly polished aesthetic paired with a serene soundtrack. The interpretive story, while only a few hours long, resonated with me; exploring the darkness, defeating demons, growing stronger and wiser with each win. However, the narrative wouldn't work as well if it wasn't for the compact combat, which is the shining light of the game. Responsive, fluid, and tightly packed together, the face-on parry system pushes you forward through the dark.- KeenGamer
