Overall, the game will probably satisfy anyone who is already a fan of the genre, but it doesn't do anything to win new fans. I found myself occupied for hours with the game, but I was never certain whether it was because I was truly engaged or just because even the simplest jobs were considerable time commitments. It has a certain zen quality to it, but there are too many little annoyances and shortcomings to really enjoy myself.- KeenGamer

The Fridge is Red is an ambitious take on the surreal horror genre, with a mix of good and bad elements. It effectively conveys a sense of madness and nightmares with a simple but good story. The game looks and sounds wonderful even with the blocky retro elements. Ultimately The Fridge is Red falls short of great because of the gameplay. It has some good moments, but there is too much running in circles, especially for such a short game. All that said, if you like this kind of horror, it is still worth checking out.- KeenGamer

In the medley of action-adventure games, Kena: Bridge of Spirits stands out with its soundtrack, unbeatable graphics, and creative storyline. It’s a fantastic first impression of Ember Lab’s game-developing skills. A few kinks need fixing, but that shouldn’t deter you from playing the game!- KeenGamer

I've never stuck with a game on it's hardest settings, yet with Session: Skate Sim it is simply the best way to play. The game as it is, from where it has come, to where it is going has set a very high bar for future skateboarding titles. There is realism in every turn, stunningly recreated environments, an awe-inspiring sound design and text-book trick techniques. With an accurate system of try, adapt, try again, this review would've made it to publication a lot sooner if Crea-ture studios didn't perfectly replicate the "one more go" attitude towards skateboarding.- KeenGamer

Akane has potential to be an indie great, but it feels as though it needs much tighter art direction, a lot of polish and a break from the monotony of the gameplay loop. The pixel art is great and the control are very convincing, but it can't escape the feeling that a little more was required to make it feel like a finished product. The fact that it has only one level and (even more bafflingly) only one boss puts a real limit on what the game is capable of becoming. The premise is pretty awesome, but awesome in a way that a 16 year old would enjoy it most.- KeenGamer

Ultimately, I feel the biggest issue with Fashion Police Squad, aside from the premise, is the playability. While it's pleasing to look at and listen to, the aesthetics don't altogether save it. If you're especially familiar with first-person shooters, and looking for something a little different, this has potential to be a very fun purchase; especially if it's on sale.- KeenGamer

Monster Hunter Rise was a fast, frenetic entry into the long-standing series, and Sunbreak improved even further on it. This title update is the first of many, according to Capcom. If you want to enjoy Monster Hunter at its flashiest, speediest, and by far its most crazy, Rise and its update Sunbreak are more than perfect for you.- KeenGamer

An inspired idea with a fun to control character dragged down by level design and enemy issues. While not reaching the heights of the Blue Blur's best, it's an very fun attempt that is very enticing to replay.- KeenGamer

Haiku, the robot might just be one of the best options for first-time Metroidvania players. It is intuitive, has a decent story that will leave you asking for more, and has great, simple but entertaining gameplay. You will definitely feel like a random robot trying to save their homeland from a random virus, and Arcadia will probably care enough to search in every damn corner for every last collectible. Yet, it probably won't be in your best game ever ranking.- KeenGamer

Hokko life falls flat in almost all it wanted to do. The game is slow and needlessly grindy. The quests, along with the grind, end up being buggy. The core gameplay is simplistic, mindless and boring, while the loading screens are also irritating. If you are looking for a good Animal Crossing clone, this is not it.- KeenGamer

The current state of the XIII remake is vastly improved from the state that the game was released in back in 2020. With that said, this does not feel like a proper current-gen experience and is certainly not worth the £34.99 asking price. Whether you are a fan of the original, or are brand new to this title, you would be much better served picking up the original version for less than a fiver on Steam.- KeenGamer

Dread Hunger is a fantastic Social deduction game, putting a lot more emphasis on survival, which makes its gameplay more interesting. With nobody feeling left out of the fun, the hours can fly by without you even noticing. It's by no means perfect and has quite some bugs, but its premise is executed flawlessly.- KeenGamer

While offering little to sink your teeth into, Kirby's Dream Buffet is some of the sweetest chaotic fun you can get for only $14.99 USD. I would recommend picking it up if you and some friends are hungry to get a taste of something bubbly and cute. While it is still fun on your own, there's only so much you can get out of the limiting offerings. I personally had a blast and will definitely open it up every once and a while. Especially whenever I feel bored and hungry at the same time. If you just want something to play with friends, you can't go wrong here!- KeenGamer

The easiest way of summarising how well Beacon Pines works is by saying that it is abundantly clear in every frame that the developers cared. The story is sad, and funny, and intriguing, and the art style is unforgettable. The gameplay, while simple, introduces such a unique concept to facilitate its story that it doesn’t matter the entire thing can be played with a grand total of five buttons. This game is dripping with heart, and if you’ve any interest in mystery stories, I cannot recommend it more highly.- KeenGamer

Trail Out succeeds at creating an over the top, arcade style racer. It's tongue in cheek and not very serious, but is a lot of fun to play. Whether you like racing or crashing there's enjoyment to be had. It looks and sounds great, except for the cutscenes. It could use more options for customisation and perhaps a few more tracks, but overall, it's a great time.- KeenGamer

While the price point might detract some gamers, The Last of Us Part 1 needs to be checked out. If you already played the original game a bunch of times, there's still a lot of value present. Players that haven't experienced one of the best games of all time should buy the definitive way to play this masterpiece.- KeenGamer

For a casual management game, Paragon Pioneers knocks it out of the park. The game is easy to pick up, is almost stress free, and allows you to take breaks. Anyone who wants a game that you can play in short bursts can’t go wrong. But long waiting times aren’t a great fit for players looking for a more intense experience. It’s hard to review previous knowledge if you haven’t been playing for a while, and there are many complex mechanics that are hard to come back to. Casual players will enjoy this game, but those who want more intensity should look elsewhere. [Early Access Provisional Score = 60]- KeenGamer

Svoboda 1945: Liberation is an excellent learning tool, but unfortunately isn't a very good game. That doesn't mean you should skip experiencing it, as the way it tells Czech history through small 'minigames' is excellent, as is its beautiful black and white animations. As a collection of key historical World War 2 moments in the Czech Republic's history, it's a triumph - but if you're looking for meaningful character exploration and a fulfilling main story, then you'll be disappointed. Still, I recommend Svoboda 1945: Liberation to anybody with an interest in history who wants a better way to learn outside of stuffy classrooms and textbooks.- KeenGamer

Overall, Metal: Hellsinger is a game with tons of potential which never really manages to fully capitalise on it. What is there is phenomenal but there just simply isn’t enough of it. Some more variety would have made this a truly great experience. With that said, there is still a fantastic game to be enjoyed here. The music is great, the gameplay is satisfying and the aesthetic is cool even if it isn’t the most original. I hope that this game either gets a sequel or some sort of DLC down the line as I really want to experience more of the high energy, musically charged demon killing that Metal: Hellsinger provides.- KeenGamer

Circus Electrique is a perfect balance of circus management, dungeon exploration, and story. Each aspect works perfectly with the other, and the result is a fun and satisfying experience. Unfortunately, the slow pacing and large amount of information show the limitations of the perfect balance. While everything works well together, it never goes beyond a good experience. It’s like a middling circus performance; it’s fun to watch, but it isn’t remarkable.- KeenGamer

Betrayal At Club Low does a great job at providing a new take in the point-and-click adventure genre. Being able to choose your own methods of resolving the situation is fun and gives the player a sense of control. Failure is rarely permanent, and you can always keep trying until you succeed. There isn’t much in terms of replay value unless you are someone who aims for 100% completion. It’s a nice game for 2-3 hours, but you are likely not revisiting the game for anything remarkable later.- KeenGamer

Sunday Gold has a fantastic blend of turn-based combat and point-and-click adventuring. The story is set up well, puzzles are fun to go through, and you really feel the pressures of criminal activity. The game does end by the time you get a grasp on the gameplay, and you are often left feeling like there could have been more. There are also enough bugs and crashes that stand out when the immersion is disrupted too many times. But for the time you are playing Sunday Gold, you are a criminal expert running against the clock, and it’s a fun thrill to experience.- KeenGamer

I loved I Was a Teenage Exocolonist. I assumed it would be something you could play in small bursts to completion, like Growing Up, but each lifetime requires significant time investment. But with how good the story and characters are, I actually like it better this way. The challenges are tough, but fair, the characters are engaging and relatable, and despite being set on an alien planet with a literal dog-boy as one of your potential friends, I can’t help but be dragged back to my high school days as I play. For better or for worse.- KeenGamer

This The Ascent - Cyber Heist review ends on a positive note. It is absolutely worth playing and a wonderful experience in addition to the base campaign. After the bar set by its predecessors, BioShock Infinite had a lot to live unto yet it carried the legacy of the franchise perfectly. It does suffer from few gameplay related problems but those can be easily forgiven. In closure, anyone who can afford to play this game should play it at least once.- KeenGamer

Steelrising is a masterclass on creating mechanics and controls that work in perfect harmony. It reinvigorates a genre that's quickly becoming over-populated, and stands out as an example of extraordinary game design. Steelrising will go down as one of the best releases of 2022.- KeenGamer

South of the Circle has beautiful story moments complimented by a striking art style that is clean, minimal and stylish. There are some amazing set pieces, terrific highs and lows, and plenty to sink your teeth into if walking-simulators are your thing. The pace is slow, but appropriately so, giving you time to soak in the visuals and stew in the more meaningful moments. It leaves something to be desired with its ending and interactivity, but still packs a punch and won't be soon forgotten. This game moves forward with the proud traditions of narrative-driven games in small steps.- KeenGamer

Midnight Fight Express stands out as a worthwhile brawler. The exciting gameplay is well supplemented by an intricate story, which sometimes interrupts a well-paced level. While some enemy types and certain levels may be aggravating they do not overstay their welcome. The nearly infinite replay value may have you coming back hours after you replay the story to crush your high scores and unlock some sweet new costumes.- KeenGamer

Cult of The Lamb works so well because of how quickly the game feels. The roguelike elements never feel dragged out and too repetitive. The cult management elements never makes you feel as though you have to grind for that next upgrade. Players start the game running and never let up. There is always something in Cult of The Lamb making it an addictive title.- KeenGamer
