White Day dares to be actually terrifying, something that many modern horror games fail to accomplish. And even if the story ultimately fails to be as interesting as it initially appears to be, the simplicity of White Day's gameplay elements and mechanics make you remember times when horror games used to haunt you with nightmares.

20 Minutes Till Dawn is a fun and exciting horde survival game that offers a good variety of weapons and abilities to fight off massive swarms of enemies with. The varied upgrade system allows for a multitude of different builds to use in each run. While the game has relatively low content in terms of enemies to fight and environments to fight in, the game still has a good amount of content overall for its price.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is an excellent addition to the FNAF timeline, and also introduces a new approach to the title without feeling repetitive. New characters and terrors await each new player, and you don't need background knowledge to enjoy the game straight off the bat. Not only will you love this game, but you'll also for sure acquire some new nightmare fuel along the way.

If there's any simulator out there that is very simple but still engaging enough to keep you doing the same task for hours without waiting for any particular reward (other than personal satisfaction), that is definitely PowerWash Simulator. While the original Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons had a charming artstyle, the graphical update is a vast improvement, the attention to detail adding depth to the already mysterious world. The narrative and innovative control system remain in place, making this the perfect on-boarding for new and returning players. The addition of local co-op allows you to team up and play the game together, although I strongly recommend playing the game single player in order to achieve the full impact of the experience. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake sticks close to its roots and remains the pinnacle of game mechanics being used to convey a story.

13 Sentinels is a visual novel unlike any released this year and offers a unique experience that is unlike any other game. It's refreshing to play during a time of first-person cinematic open-world shooters, to find a story unraveled in a non-linear way to draw the tension and mystery of it out. There's no one way of summing up this experience, and that's the beauty of it. 13 Sentinels is something players will have to experience for themselves.

Looking Up is a game that's short but sweet. Admittedly, it could benefit from being a bit longer, but only adding an extra chapter and some additional puzzles would probably be enough. Otherwise, you get a great package with Looking Up. The storytelling is done well with beautiful illustrations, and the puzzles are fun to solve, having the right balance between being too easy and frustratingly hard. The music provides a calming, nostalgic touch as well. Looking Up set out to be a short, cozy affair, and it succeeded. If you enjoy narrative puzzle games, you'll like this one. It's not pricey either, so why not give it a go?

South of the Circle has beautiful story moments complimented by a striking art style that is clean, minimal and stylish. There are some amazing set pieces, terrific highs and lows, and plenty to sink your teeth into if walking-simulators are your thing. The pace is slow, but appropriately so, giving you time to soak in the visuals and stew in the more meaningful moments. It leaves something to be desired with its ending and interactivity, but still packs a punch and won't be soon forgotten. This game moves forward with the proud traditions of narrative-driven games in small steps.

It will go largely ignored, and that is what makes the tale of SHEEPO so tragic. Fans of the metroidvania genre have another prized title to add to their backlog. SHEEPO is immersive, detailed, and full of a whimsical charm rarely found in either AAA products or the indie scene. It understands what it wants to do and only goes as far as it needs to to settle, allowing the player to be just as imaginative as the world provided here. And when I managed to get both halves of the inn filled to capacity at once? Absolute bliss! The characters are fun and the story interesting. If you're looking for a good time, grab a room and settle in.

Forgive Me Father 2 is an amazing experience for anyone looking to get into the horror first person shooter genre. Being a take on world war one's traumas, you'll be thrown into the depths of asylums, trenches, and strange manors uncovering the horrors of yourself. As a sequel title it improves greatly on the graphics and gunplay of the previous game while offering new and unique weapons for your person enjoyment! Make sure to keep your audio on, as the killer soundtrack will have you coming back time and time again!

Terminus: Zombie Survivors is a fun yet challenging rogue-like that balances zombie combat with survival. It's fun to consider your next actions and make sure you have enough to eat and drink. The game is tough to learn and you don't have much information to work off. Gameplay is also slower compared to other roguelikes. But if you have the patience to learn and sit through a few games, there's a hidden gem to uncover that's a lot of fun.

Forgive me Father delivers well on its premise. There’s a real sense of passion and identity to this game. From the story to the visuals to the level design, you can tell the developers have a lot of love for the genres they are working with. There creativity pays off with a great game that pays homage to retro games and films alike. Other than some minor issues that can be ironed out in an update, the game is a fantastic shooter horror that old and new gamers will get a kick out of.

The Wandering Village is a creative and addictive take on the City Builder formula that coexists perfectly with the survival genre. It may not have its story elements in the background but the world it invites us to is still a fantastic attraction. It's a challenging experience at times but a rewarding one that puts The Wandering Village as high as the Onbu's height.

I will reiterate that the game has a "debt" to settle until the deferred melee combat is dispatched, if ever. Naval combat is great and customization is compelling. But considering the element of being an outlaw of the sea, without the drama and adventure that matches the bravado and flamboyance of the clothes my pirate is wearing, the Swash just ain't gonna Buckle. Skull and Bones is plainly a 'pirate ship game' more than it is about pirates, for now. Fair Winds and Following Seas until that changes.

Fun isn't something one considers when choosing a map maker, but this does put a smile on my face. Everything Dungeon Alchemists claims to do, it does. It does it adequately and even manages to be fun for something that's not actually a game. I found myself constantly starting new maps to try out new settings and features. It was legitimately entertaining to piece together a little section of my imaginary world, hyper-focusing on every little detail. Is it perfect? No. But none of my complaints are anything that can't be solved with very minor updates. All in all, it does what it sets out to do - makes map-making easy and quick.

Ogre Kingdoms is a fine DLC to open with for Total War: Warhammer III. It features a faction that is fun to play as with some great characters and some decently powerful units to use. However some elements of the game are poorly explained to the player and the faction doesn't really fit into the Realms Of Chaos campaign as well as they should.

Overall, War Hospital is a unique and gritty game that depicts the terror that was once happened during World War I. This new approach makes the game's many mechanics stand out, though there are several bugs that are very frustrating when you encounter them. Still, War Hospital ticks many boxes that are enjoyable for both Strategy genre lovers and for those who seek to try their hands at managing something, where every choice determines who lives and who dies.

It's Grim Up North is a charming point and click adventure game with lots of character and humor to enjoy. Whether you're familiar with Yorkshire or not, it's great fun getting to know the quirky inhabitants of Terry's village. The puzzles are mostly very satisfying, but can be a little frustrating in a few instances. And whilst Chapter 1 played quite quickly, the plan for updated content should offer lots more for point and click adventure fans.

Medieval Dynasty is a great survival game, and it is a great city-builder. These two genres do work together sufficiently well enough to create this gameplay mix that niche gamers will enjoy. With the exception of the skill trees implementation, the rest of the RPG/Adventure elements fall flat. If you are approaching the game from a purely Survival and Resource Management Point of View, then you'll have a great time. Otherwise, this one may not be for you.

At the end of the day, I'm in a bit of an awkward position with Myth of Empires. It's by no means a bad game. All of its parts function as they mean to, and it can be quite absorbing. However, it lacks the staying power of other MMOs. This can be fixed with a smaller map, to increase player interaction and speed up building by giving you more access to materials. Some sort of story might help as well, considering how quite a few MMO fans play for the story, and the added context would give more meaning to the experience. However, even without any of that, Myth of Empires is a solid game that I can reccomend to anyone looking for a survival-crafting fix. Happy building!

Vampire Survivors is a very content-rich game for its genre, with tons of unlockable characters, stages, items, and more. It can be a fun time if you just want around 10-30 minutes of casual gameplay. The game mostly plays itself with the player's only real input being moving around and selecting items and upgrades, so it might not appeal much to somebody looking for more in-depth gameplay. If you're looking to get into the horde-survival genre that's been getting popular lately, this game is a good place to start.

All in all, 9th Dawn III is a solid RPG adventure, with all the side activities and exploration you could ask for. While the combat difficulty is sometimes poorly balanced, the grind to improve has an almost addictive quality that kept me coming back for more. The visual style, a throwback to a bygone era of open world games, was used well to keep the visuals both simple and exciting. By putting together some of the best parts of hit games, 9th Dawn III succeeds in breaking new ground while tapping into nostalgia for classics.

All in all, it's playable and enjoyable; however, the game will need some more content and definitely more bug fixes in future updates. In other words, it's not entirely polished. Although it may not be polished, it's highly recommended for arcade racers, no doubt about that. If you've been on Forza Motorsport or Project CARS 3 before, then this might be something for you. Great track layout and astonishing graphics makes the game special. Dirt veterans may also recognise the similarities between this and the older games.

Hubris does everything right when it comes to gameplay. The shooting is great and the VR mechanics are impressive. Swimming, climbing, and platforming are all satisfying and seamless. The visuals are amazing and beautiful, and it's a pleasure to progress through the game. Where it falls short is the story. In a world where fighting games are associated with intricate combos and complex systems, Samurai Shodown thrives in its simplicity. With its focus on defense, a seemingly simple change makes it stand out in a way that makes it feel like a cut above other fighters on the market. Its biggest shortcomings lie in the lack of modes, some characters that feel too much alike and dead online. But with some brilliant gameplay mechanics and approachable combat, this showdown belongs in your fighting game rotation, especially if you can play with a couple of friends.

None of its problems are deal breakers, but none of its good points are super exciting. However, do remember that this is a new release, so improvements could very well be on the way. I'm really excited to see how it grows, possibly with the addition of challenge modes, or match types. Maybe one or two new characters with a totally different playstyle. Regardless, this is a strong start for a well-designed game.

There are a lot of levels filled to the brim with secrets to hunt down. There are plenty of upgrades to find and augment your playstyle with. The aesthetic is dark and grim. Everything gels together nicely. But by trying too hard to replicate a 90's shooter, Dread Templar misses out on a few modern mechanics that would've really helped the gameplay.

In its best moments, Noita is a visual treat of interesting physics mechanics, status effects, and weapons that encourage experimentation, explosions, and just a damn good time. It offers hours of amusement and surprises wrapped inside a fairly traditional roguelite offering. What it lacks in actual progression systems, it makes up for with a bewildering amount of exploration and a high skill ceiling for those willing to master it. That difficulty is also its biggest shortcoming, as the ease with which players can die — often unfairly — means a lot of repeating familiar areas and weapons, and the user interface and RNG often get in the way of the better parts of the experience. Noita isn’t a game to sink 50 hours into, but it’s a blast to drop in and experience for its systems, and it 100% lives up the promise that “every pixel is simulated” — often to deadly and hilarious effect.

Gorgeous environments, a reason to keep playing, and tons of content—this new addition to a once-thought abandoned series is everything a sequel should be. Some personal gripes about how it handles its story and characters prevent me from praising it any further, but my adoration should not be understated.
